Mail window may be in the Full Screen mode.
Move the mouse pointer to the top right corner of the Mail window and hold it there.
Menu bar should drop down and click the blue double arrow icon.

I was recently prompted to update my Itunes player to the latest version. I'm using Windows Vista. I was left with an error message MSVCR80.dll and consequently no new update. I uninstalled the old version and have tried to reinstall manually several times. No luck. Consequently I have no player.
    Any ideas for a fix?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:

  • I have an older Mac Pro; how do I know if I can upgrade the software to Lion?

    Can I upgrade to Lion?
    Processor Name:          Dual-Core Intel Xeon
      Processor Speed:          2.66 GHz
      Number Of Processors:          2
      Total Number Of Cores:          4
L2 Cache (per processor):          4 MB
      Memory:          7 GB
      Bus Speed:          1.33 GHz

Even easier: don't clone (well, you should have a couple backups already),
Just do a nice new hard drive and format it with Lion only and install / use Setup Assistant when you want.
Keep dual boot setup or pull SL hard drive even - buiy some spare drive sleds.
I woudl not "upgrade" to Lion, not in technical sense.

  • I deleted my bootcamp via DU and then deleted the hard drive by using the terminal. My BOOTCAMP is still there and now my fusion drive is separated from the SSD portion and I have no idea how to fix it.

First off I have a 3tb fusion drive.
I created a 200gb bootcamp, I tried deleting the bootcamp because I thought I messed it up and googled how to delete a mac partition which told me to use Disk Utility, did that and then erased it and somehow it got locked and wouldn't let me do anything to any partition on my hard drive (everything was greyed out)
After looking up and googling for hours I found a post saying the only way to fix it would be to go into CMD+R and go into the terminal window and type out disklist and then find the first UUID number and do something along the lines of disklist delete (UUID) i forget the exact formula. I did this, and then I had 3 separate untitled hard drives.
One in the size of 1.9gb on in 800gb and one in 121.3gb (which is the SSD), I put my time machine backup onto the 1.9gb untitled and now my computer is booting slowly (because it's no longer running off of the SSD and the original bootcamp is still there.
To be honest I am absolutely confused on what else to do!
Is there anyway I can fix this?

How do I go about deleting and then re-adding the hard drives? Completely lost on how to make it back to being a 3gb fusion drive.
Thank you for all your help, I honestly really appreciate it.
I followed your instructions and got the following

Sometimes look-alike characters may be confused, also you may need to enter the previous registration numbers as well, if your Aperture version is an upgrade to Aperture 2 or 1.

  • HT1212 my daughter has a brand new ipod touch - never used - she entered a passcode then immediately forgot it and now she has tried to enter one too many times and ipod is locked for 1 hour - she has never synced with itunes HELP

my daughter has a brand new ipod touch - latest one - she started to input a passcode then didn't finish the process then turned off ipod. she turned it back on and it is asking for a passcode - she doesn't remember what she typed. Ipod is now disabled for one hour. Can we override the disable. How do we reset passcode when we don't klnow the original. It has never been synced to Itunes. I am completely lost.

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode
iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
    iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.

  • I recently downloaded Microsoft University 365 on my MacBook Pro and now every time I turn it on the Word, Excel and Outlook are open.  Any thoughts how to correct this?

Can anyone give me advise on how to stop the Excel, Word and Outlook from my Microsoft Univeristy 365 from automatically opening each time I turn on my MacBookPro?

    Hi jau340,
When you log off of your Mac, make sure that the box that says "Reopen windows when logging back in" is not checked:

  • I just downloaded the new firefox and now my worldwinner site will not play the audio because of a missing file?

It will not let me play the bejeweled 2 game with sound the new version of firefox disabled my sound?? Please help?????

Not sure whether for instance you initially had a Yahoo optimised version of Firefox, and have now overwritten it with an official Mozilla version. Although the Mozilla version should NOT add unwanted features, but the Yahoo version may well do.
If you merely need to find the Yahoo emails page quickly just add it as a bookmark or as a bookmark on the Bookmarks toolbar and make sure that is visible.
Clicking the star icon on the location bar whilst looking at your emails will bookmark the page.
    * [[How to use bookmarks to save and organize your favorite websites]]
    * [[Bookmarks Toolbar - Display your favorite websites at the top of the Firefox window]]
I do not use Yahoo myself, and am not sure what add-ons are available. You could search yourself using
    * FirefoxButton -> add-ons
** see [[Find and install add-ons to add features to Firefox]]
    ** examples [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar/ yahoo toolbar] & [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/yahoo-mail-notifier/ mail notifier]
    * also look at Yahoo's own information such as http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials/toolbar/cl3/c3_ff_toolbar1.html

  • I just downloaded 4.0.1 and now half my bookmarks are gone including the toolbar bookmarks, and its screwing with my printers & doesn't want to load stuff. What Is WRONG

How do I go back to the previous version and settings?

It is best not to open the places.sqlite database file because it is organized in a way that is not easy to comprehend and uses a complicated set of tables.
You can opt to create a separate profile to inspect and possibly export the bookmarks that are stored in this file.<br />
If both profiles are open at the same time by using the -no-remote command line switch then you can also move bookmarks via the clipboard.

    Hello Elliiee,
The steps detailed below can help stabilize your iPhone.
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • My 3moth old Mac Pro has suddenly gone to "sleep" three times in the last month and a half while I am using it.

I'm not sure why because it works perfectly fine. Can anybody tell me why this may be happening? It's kinda distressing The battery is fine, the software has been updated, but when it goes to sleep suddenly i have to press some key to wake it up.

The battery is fine? as in you have a laptop, not a workstation.
