I have used Photoshop Elements 9 for years, today it will not let me open the program?...unretrevible error...
I have been using Photoshop Elements for years but today it will not open the program saying unretreivable error.
I have uninstalled and installed again but the error message is the same...
any advise please

I am making my first keynote presentation. I transferred the slides from a power point. I did not use a 'theme' from keynote. Keynote will not let me 'name' the presentation and the 'save as' option will not come up in the menu. What have I done wrong
When it comes to Keynote, I try and start with a presentation that's 1680 x 1050 preset or something in that range. Most projectors that you'll get at a conference won't project much higher than that and if they run at a lower resolution, it's better to have the device downsize your Keynote. Anything is better than having the projector try and upsize your presentation... you work hard to make it look good, and it's mangled by some tired Epson projector.
As far as slides go, scan them in at 150 dpi or better, and make them at least the dimensions of your presentation. Keynote is really only wanting 72dpi, but I do them at 150, just in case I need to print out the presentation as a handout later, and having the pix at 150 dpi gives me a little help with their quality on a printer.
You'd probably have to drop in the 150 versions again if you output the Keynote to .pdf or Word or something, but at least you have the option.
And Gary's right (above) go ahead and scan them as TIFFs. Sooner or later you'll want to do something else with these slides (like make something for an iPad or the like) and having them as TIFFs keeps your presentation looking good.
Finally, and this is a big one, get to the location for your presentation ahead of time if you can, and plug the laptop in and see what you get. There's always connection problems. Don't let the AV bonehead tell you everything will work just fine ('... I don't have any adapters for a Mac...') . See it for yourself... you're the one that's standing up there. Unless it's your boss, then you better be really sure it works. -
I have one website that will not let me open the emails within in it?
I am on a dating website Christianmingle.com Up until 3 days ago this site worked fine? All other sites within my internet are working and opening fine. Just this site will not let me open the internet information and emails within this site?
After a couple of attempts I can get into the site. This is one problem that I cannot open this site like it is suppose to. Then when try to open information within the site it fills the work bar to about 90% then it just keeps working and nothing opens?
I have tried the cookies, pop-up blocker, called the site for help and called Xfinity? They can do nothing? Maybe you can help me it has to be something simple?

I added a few add-ons yesterday to FF (I'm on current version). No problem. FF opened normally today until I added a new "user" to my laptop. After that, FF does not open at all, even from my original user account, which is the administrator. I don't think it was the add-ons, but I'm not sure. I deleted the new user account, turned the computer off/on again, rebooted (numerous times) and still FF will not open for me. The FF file is still in the computer (program list), and I still have the icons and it's in the tray. I have a Dell Studio, only 1-1/2 years old, use FF exclusively as my default browser.
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You need to upgrade your version of Lightroom to version 5.4 or newer.

The screen that says, "Well this is embarrassing" and asks to either remove a tab or start a new session, which I cannot do neither. I have deleted the program several times and when I reload it the same screen comes up and the program freezes. Task manager is the only way to remove it from my screen. I need to find the location of that screen and delete it.
It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

I just got this new ipod 3. I plugged it into the computer and i have itunes and it updated to the IOS 4.2.1 and now i have downloaded the IOS 4.3 to my computer but now how do i down load it to my ipod. ? when i open up itunes with my ipod and click summary below the picture is said backups and options. But nothing about updates. Please help ASAP!
If you can't download using your phone, then just download it from Itunes and then sync your phone.

I'd give these troubleshooting steps a try, they're for when your iPad appears frozen or unresponsive:
If the device is unresponsive or certain controls aren't working as expected, try restarting
To turn off the device, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off the device.
To turn on the device, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), try resetting
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds.

I work for a funeral home that has used Photoshop CS2 for years. Within this program, we were able to upload a background "file" with themes - i.e., spring flowers, fall leaves, etc. We would scan in pictures given to us by the deceased's family and "place" these on top of the background slide. We then used a software program, Nero, to create a slide show with music to play during the viewing. I've spent some time looking over the products and do not see one that will allow us to continue this very simple practice. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak to someone about this. Newer versions of Photoshop have new feature that CS2 does not have. However CC 2014 like CS2 does not have a slide show with sound feature. I have a Windows 7 Pro system. Have CS2, CS6, CC and CC 2014 installed. You need and Updated CS2 Installer to install CS2 on windows. CS2 is a 32 bit Photoshop there is no CS2 version that will run on new Mac computers their 64 Bit OS offered no 32bit options.
A $10 a month subscription will keep up to date with the latest Photoshop. Your other option is to buy CS6 for $700. CS6 is no longer supported it just marketed as is. -

I'm looking for software to help me in the Fashion Design Industry. I want to use it for my sketches. I am a beginner when it comes to Fashion Design and have no experience using Photoshop software. I had read somewhere that Photoshop Elements is a less expensive version of Photoshop. I read that it does 90% of what Photoshop does without the higher end pre -press printing capabilities. I also read that there is a book that will help you with the other 10% to achieve the full Photoshop capabilities.
1a. I would like to know is anyone using Photoshop Elements for Fashion Design?
1b. If yes, please explain in details what exactly are you using it for?
2a. Is there more than one version of Photoshop Elements?
2b. If so, what version do you recommend?
3. How easy is it to use?

ThanksI've never used PSE for fashion design, but there is only one flavor of elements, not a variety of different versions. I would wonder about using it for this because it could make a lot of difference if you need to create output in CMYK form (for print) or to softproof (neither of which is available in PSE). You also can't create composite layers in Elements.
I like Elements a lot, but I would not say it's 90% of Photoshop, more like 70% and I would expect that people would use Illustrator rather than PS for most things to do with creating illustrations. Also, there is no book that can make PSE into PS, although you can extend what it can do, but Adobe has deliberately crippled certain features in PSE.
I would say we need to know what you need a program to do to be able to give you any useful kind of advice. If you need to be able to draw vectors and paths, PSE is not a good choice. If you just need to sketch, it's fine. -
