I have Vista on my computer. I downloaded Firefox and I'm trying to open recordings on Blackboard and they won't open
I'm taking Accounting 212 online through VWCC and we were told to use Firefox to work on Blackboard. Whenever I try to open the recordings that the teacher has posted, I get a blank screen and it says that it is done.
If it's an iMac G5 (and not a recent Intel iMac), it originally came with a wired USB keyboard. You'll probably need to connect it or some other USB keyboard (it can be one from a Windows PC), so you can get passed that screen.
If you have not already, you can try turning OFF and turning ON the keyboard, while you are on the login screen

It is telling you that the device has been associated with another Apple ID. Once an Apple ID has been associated with a device, there is a 90-day waiting period before another Apple ID can be associated with that device. Here is a Support Article that explains the 90-day waiting period:

I'm using Windows 7 I downloaded Firefox 17 It will not load I go to uninstall and it will not uninstall. When I am using Thunderbird I try to go to a web site and I get the error code couldn't load xpcom.
How do I unistall this mess and start over again???Please go to www.getfirefox.com and download Firefox 24 (don't use Firefox 17 it's not supported) and install it.

My wife had an iPad for a year and synced to our computer with no problem. I recently received an ipad2 and when I tried to sync using separate apple and iTunes passwords, under her computer user name, it appears I over-road her account and synced all her apps with my apps on my iPad. I then set myself up as a new user on our computer and tried to sync. I now get the error that my iPad is synced to another library. How can I start over without erasing all my data on the iPad?
Go back to her login. Unless you deliberately erased apps, they should all be there, both yours and hers! Then, you need to set up each iPad separately. You will notice that they have separate names for that very purpose.
There is no problem with multiple Apple IDs on the same iTunes on the same computer except... Apps are permanently associated with the ID that was originally used to obtain them. If you choose to update an app from inside iTunes and you're logged into the "wrong" ID, you must log out and back in again.
On the bright side, you can configure either or both iPads to sync with apps and music and movies, etc. from either or both IDs. Further, if you choose to update the apps from the iPads themselves, there is no need to log out/in. The device handles that. All you need is the correct password. In my case, I use the same password for both IDs to make things easier. -
HELP!!! i have a mac g 5 and i uploaded Microsoft Office 2008 for my 90 year old mother. Now when she tries to open earlier word docs, they won't open at all :-( what happened? I SEE THE WORD IN THE NAVIGATION BAR BELOW, but when she tries to open a word doc, the navigation bar opens and closes around the Word symbol and nothing happens :-( i'm going crazy :-( PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP AND LET ME KNOW WHAT TO DO?
If you have not already done so, repair permissions and restart your computer. Or boot up from your install DVD and run "Repair Disk" from the Utility menu. When done, restart back to your desktop, repair permissions and restart your computer. Suggest that you post in the Microsoft Office for Mac Forums if the above does not work.

It is possible the versions you have are not compatible with your new Mac. Could you please tell us the following:
1. What OS are you running.
To get this info, click on the Apple on the top left, then select About This Mac. The OS X version is there.
2. What are the versions of the apps that are giving you problems?
To get this info, double click on the hard drive icon and open the Applications folder. Select an application and right click on it. Then select Get Info. The version number is there.

I am running Acrobat X Pro on Windows 7 in Parallels. I have tried to install the Acrobat updates, but they won't install. Today I tried to create a pdf from a Word 2013 document and it crapped out. Are you trying to open the backup files via the Finder or an application? If so, that's not how you should access your backups -- use the "Star Wars" display, per #15 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.
How did you get your stuff on the new Mac?
It sounds like you may have skipped the offer to transfer it when your Mac first started up, created a user account, then used the Migration Assistant app instead. If so, that may be the problem; doing it that way means you end up with an extra user account, and can lose permission to files on other volumes, especially backups.
Please clarify just what you're seeing, and whether you still have the old Mac. -
