Turned my computer off, and turned my iphone off. Restarted everything. Synced my iphone and my itunes and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? I am using Windows

I've upgraded to itunes 11.1.4 Now my ipod and my wife's will not connect/ sync. Itunes says it can detect an ipod but it can't be identified correctly. I have uninstalled and re installed ITunes but it still doesn't work

I can not sync my Iphone 4s with Itunes. I get a "required file can not be found" error. I went the apple stroe yesterday and they said a file may be corrupt. I have uninstalled and re-installed Itunes so it is up to date. ANy thoughts?

after installing itunes 7 i can't name any of my playlists. when i make a new one it says untitled playlist 13 or whatever number it is and it won't let me name it something else. Also i can't rename any of my old playlists either. Please help!!!
Windows XP ProI'm also experiencing this issue since installing the latest update (currently running iTunes, 7.1.1.5 on Windows XP Professional) -- I've tried naming a playlist when it's first created, double-clicking, and pressing F2 (a known Windows rename keyboard shortcut). It LOOKS like it is taking the characters I am typing, but after 2 seconds reverts to the default name, for example: "untitled playlist." this is HIGHLY ANNOYING because I try to make new playlists every day and none of the new playlists I want can be added to my iPod. I also notice that the Sort options no longer "stick." The particular podcast I like to download (the Adam Carolla Show) is broken into 12 segments that appear in reverse order. I USED to be able to set a descending sort on these segments after I dragged them to the iPod. Now as soon as I disconnect the iPod, the sort options I choose are reset. I can start to try manually reordering the segments, but I don't understand why iTunes no longer works the way it did before. I will try reinstalling and let folks know if this resolves the problem. I am surprised that there aren't any release notes or known issues documented anywhere on this site. Our problems are just buried in informal forums and not answered. Typical arrogant, overpriced Apple.

Since Upgrading the software on my Iphone 3GS to the iOS5, I have not been able to back up my on my laptop, it starts syncing then kicks me out.
I have uninstalled my internet security and that is not the problem (so re-installed)
I have updated the Windows XP to service Pack 3
I have un installed and re installed iTunes as well
And none of this has worked!
I was going to upgrade my phone to the iPhone 4S but dont feel i can now as worried it wont sync.
Please can anyone help me as this is rather frustrating now!

I' ve a problem after installing Itunes 8.0.2.20.
When i try to use Itunes i get the message windows with a log and use of itunes is broken.Might have been a bad cable. I reinstalled. Got a crash again. Tried a different cable. It worked.

I could previously open my itunes program on my computer and sync with ipad, ipod and iphone but no longer. When I select itunes a dialogue box opens with question - "Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer" When I select YES, it just shuts down. I have removed and reinstalled itunes. have checked firewall and spent hours trying to fix. Please help.
A possible cause of this error is that Firefox is set to run as Administrator.
Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
* Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
* "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\). -
As an pod newbie I'm falling at the first hurdle. I've installed itunes directly from the Apple website, but it takes over my system resources completely. I can get it to see my Ipod, but the sync option is greyed out in the menu.
Surely Itunes and Applemobiledevice cannot be that system hungry. My PC is unusable with itunes running.
I've made sure windows is up to date and I've uninstalled & re-installed itunes - all to no effect.

Since I have Windows 8.1 installed, iTunes does no longer open, what do I have to do?
I have the ipod classic and recently I updated Windows 8 to 8.1
since that time I can no longer open iTunes, meaning I cannot add any music to the ipod.
i have googeled the issue and got the 'uninstall-download latest software from Apple download' but it does not help
I allways get the message 'there is a problem with the program, windows will close the program now and check for a solution'Windows 8.1 is still a preview release and hence is not supported. You may well need to wait for the full release and for Apple to either update iTunes for compatibility or Microsoft to fix the issues on their end. One rather strange suggestion in another thread here advised reinstalling or updating Flash Player, so you might give that a try. Additional suggestions can be found here:

I have tried everything the support page suggests, checking ID, deleting SC file, changing account allowances in windows, I have even uninstalled and reinstalled itunes....I am at a loss for what else to do.

What's the precise text of that message, please? (There's a few different ones I can think of that you might be getting.) -
Adobe needs to get their act together, be specific as to what version of Java SE6 Runtime is needed to open CS5 (InDesing, Illustrator, etc.)and if possible offer a direct download, since Oracle has a ton of version of SE6 and none of them for Mac specific platform. This short sight on behalf of Adobe and carelessness on behalf of apple is the kind of garbage, this companies will never get!

Podcasts subscriptions corrupted after installing iTunes 5
I have my podcasts set to update manually and after installing iTunes 5 I noticed that when I try to update them iTunes showed there are no new episodes when clearly (and iTunes podcast directory confirmed it) there were.
Then I noticed "subscribe" button in the podcast directory's page for my podcasts was active and after i re-subscribed to all of my podcats (for example TWIT) iTunes added an identical TWIT podcast entry to my podcasts list and started re-downloading ALL of the podcasts i already had along with the new episodes.
So now i have a choice of either having to re-download all of my podcasts in order to get new ones OR be without new episodes untill this is fixed. And re-downloading all of my podcats is not an option cause of my connection. Also i don't wanna have duplicate entries for my podcasts in order to have the new episodes.
I really hope iTunes 5.1 comes out soon and fixes these bugs. In my opinion, this is the buggiest release of iTunes for Windows Apple ever made.ME TOO. Now I want to know how I can DOWNgrade iTunes.
Also, when I have left iTunes open for a while, I come back to it, and the window is all indecipherable garbage.
And don't waste your time. I have done it all, and nothing has helped. I either download podcast by painful podcast or I don't get anything at all.

How do I have itunes use/detect my external hard drive and place music on the external drive from the itunes store? There are no music files on my pc yet.
