I have yahoo music player on home page worked with firefox 3, chrome, ix, doesn't with firefox 4 why not

yahoo is home page. yahoo music worked with firefox till I upgraded to firefox 4. Works with ie and just tried chrome. Screen comes up, video doesn't play, just grey in video screen. Norton security isn't blocking. Would rather use firefox, If firefox 4 won't work, how do I install previous version. Thanks Vernon.

Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.
If it fails regardless, you can try changing the user agent like this:
#In the location bar at the top, type: '''about:config''' and hit Enter.
#In the filter at the top, copy/paste the following: '''general.useragent.override'''. This will display a blank page.

Home sharing works with one account but not another?

My family has an apple tv, we've been having problems setting up the home sharing and tried everything. We eventually decided to try my brother's apple id instead of my mother's and it worked. So my question is; why does home sharing not work with one id but works with the other? any suggestions to get it to work with my mother's id?

Try resetting the Apple TV. enter your mother's ID again. Then remove her ID on iTunes and re-add it. Then see if it works this time.

MAMP home page works, but my own PHP file doesn't.

MAMP 1.7.2 is working oddly. I just installed it and the homepage works fine at the default address:
http://localhost:8888/MAMP/?language=English
However when I create a "hello, world" foo.php in the MAMP/test directory and load it with this URL:
http://localhost:8888/MAMP/test/foo.php
I get a page not found error.
Same with an .html file.
My sole clue: the file /Applications/MAMP/logs/apacheerrorlog contains this line:
[Fri Oct 10 16:29:50 2008] [error] [client ::1] File does not exist: /Applications/MAMP/bin/mamp/foo
Not clear to me why it expects the /bin/mamp extra directories.
And /Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/httpd.conf has this line, which seems right:
DocumentRoot "/Applications/MAMP/htdocs"
Any ideas why HTML and PHP files don't work?

Actually I do know something, because it(url address) above does work on my Panther MAMP to load bs.php & bs.html files out of htdocs. And start page loads fine.

Problems with Home Sharing - works with some users but not all

Hi all,
On our Mac we have 3 different user accounts. Among the three, home sharing seems to work for two of them, but not three. For example, if I'm logged into User A's account, I'm able to access the library for users B & C. However, B & C are able to see user A's library, but items do not play or transfer. B & C can use each other's shared libraries without a problem.
Previously, all three users could use the other's libraries. I've done the obvious: restarted the computer, made sure sharing was turned on on all 3 accounts and synced the Apple ID and password on all three iTunes so that they're runing on the same Apple ID account.
The error I get when trying to transfer songs from A to either B or C is: "There was a problem downloading "[song name]". The URL "" could not be found on the server."
We're using iTunes 9.0.2.

Wi-fi at home: it works with my laptop, but not with my iphone

Hey guys. I just got an iphone and i cannot connect to my wi-fi network, but i can with my laptop (it's an hp). Does anyone know anything that i can do to connect? It is password protected, but i entered the password with iphone. Also, when I turn the iphone on after sleep mode, it picks up the network signal, but when i try to go onto the internet or itunes it does not work. Thanks a lot guys!

I had the exact same problem, your wireless router has a firewall set up not allowing you to access the wi-fi. You need to go to your firewall security setup and you will see your firewall encryption, that's the password your iPhone wants. If the letters are seperated by comma's, do not enter them. For example, I have 128bit encryption, which has 13 sets of letters/numbers seperated by commas, without commas I have a total of 26. Enter that as shown and you should be able to use your wifi at home.

H.264 home movie works in FireFox(kind of) not Safari

I've created a website in iWeb which includes a h.264 movie. The movie loads and runs on Firefox as a file(from the desk top) but not at my website. In Safari the movie will not open as a file or at the website. After it tries to load the movie a "?" mark appears. I've tried it on an early MacBook Pro and a new iMac.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Cick: Remove all website data
Then empty the Safari cache. Command + Option + E
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!
