I saw that it automatically shows an option for icloud. That made me realize that I probably did install icloud in my old ipod. So now evertyime I use the app to find my iPod, it finds my new one. It shows only one device located under it. Is there a way I could find the old iPod? Or could I restore my new iPod and find the old one that way? I'm afraid if I restore it I would loose all my information from my old ipod.

That makes no difference in finding/tracking your lost/stolen device.
The old device will only show up in icloud.com if you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order

I want so set up itunes on my laptop and make sure that I get all of my old music and any music shared from my sons' itunes accounts. Do I have to set up itunes on my new laptop first and then use the same logins? Really concerned about losing any music, etc.

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

There was no option to remove epm instances in 11.1.2.1, basically the cloest you get is uninstalling the products on the server and hope that some of the info is removed from the epm registry

Yes.
You can authorize up to 5 computers to play itunes music ( pre-itunes plus). There is no limit on itunes plus ( all itunes music for the past several years) and imported music.
You can sync as many ipods/ipads/iphones as you like to each of your computers.

Install Palm Desktop 6.2.2 on the new computer. Then if you have a wireless router, use Wi-Fi to sync your TX to the new installation. If your new computer is 32-bit, you should also be able to sync with a cable.
If you use any third-party apps which have a desktop component (such as Documents To Go), you'll also have to install those apps onto the new laptop. Also, in order to continue to use it on your new laptop you would need to upgrade Documents To Go to the latest Vista/7 compatible version.
Strong suggestion: before you do anything, download and install the freeware backup application called NVBackup. It will backup your entire TX's contents to a SD card, so that in case anything goes awry in the migration, you will be literally moments away from restoring your data.

Old Account need access to move purchased songs to new account

I am trying to authorize songs that were purchased on my old account onto my new laptop. The account is several years old and was not used and since the email address attached is no longer valid and cannot remember password to obtain songs purchased. Is there anyway to get account tranferred to new email account and authorize those songs purchased?

I'm afraid you can't moved protected purchases between accounts. The account ID doesn't have to be a working email address for you to log in with it, but you will have to get the password reset.
You do this at http://appleid.apple.com , but if there isn't a functioning address associated with the ID you will have to go through Support. Go to http://expresslane.apple.com - select 'iTunes' then 'iTunes Store', then 'Account Management' and then select 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. Follow the instructions, which include contacting them if necessary.

Currently we have an output type (YAB1) that is created for all customers and item categories for application V2. New requirement is to create new output (YAB2) that exactly works as old one with one difference is that new output type YAB2 should be created for specific customers. Also bypass creation of old output YAB1.
I understand how can we create new output YAB2 for specific customers. How can I by pass these customers from the old output YAB1. Please help me.

Sampath, Can you please provide more details of how can I create requirement. Is there any possibility of using NACE condition entries.
What I think is create a custom table and maintain customers to whom YAB2 created. When YAB1 is created I read the table and when customer is found then set return code to 4 so that it is bypassed. We need YAB1 output for other customers.
Is there any better approach?

Use your backup copy of your old computer to put everything on your new computer, then sync the iphone to that comptuer.

How to sync contacts, music, and movies from iPhone to new mac and unsync from old PC?

Hi, I know this question has been asked a lot but for some reason I could not get a clear understanding of what everyone was talking about and my situation might be a tad different.
So I already had an iPhone that was synced to my dell PC. I just got a new macbook pro retina and now I'm trying to transfer my contacts, movies, and music to my mac from my iPhone. However I keep getting a message that says if I sync to this mac then all of my stuff will be deleted from my iPhone. (I am now aware that they mean only iTunes content, but those are still important to me). I still own my PC but there is no way I can connect my PC and Mac together. Is there a way possible that I could "unsync" my iPhone to my PC and sync it to the Mac without erasing the stuff from my iPhone? Are there other methods of syncing my iPhone to my new mac? My last question is that is it possible to transfer purchases from my mac to my iPhone even if it is or isn't synced to the PC or erased of content?

It is designed so syncing is one way only (with the exception of iTunes Store purchases) computer to phone. You need to transfer the library from the old computer to the new one so the phone is syncing back to the same library it used to or else it will request you erase the phone.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive. Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes. At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder.
You can use flash drive for copying, breaking it down into chunks if necessary but making sure they get re-assembled correctly again.
If this is to a new computer and you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)
