I tried re-installing the most recent version of iTunes but this made no difference. I then tried installing an old version of iTunes but it would not install. I am furious because I bought music via iTunes store and I cannot get it to load onto my iPod. Can anyone help? Or can anyone give me a direct email address for iTunes support? I have been going round and round on Apple's stupid website and cannot find any help or an email address.

Quit iTunes, reboot your PC, restart the iPad and then try again.
Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Are you saying that you contacted Apple support and they instructed you to backup and restore your iPad? Or do you mean that you picked up this information from an online support article? If you spoke to an Apple rep or received these instructions via email, contact them again for further help.
I fail to see how restoring your iPad would enable yoyr Apple ID.

I finally just resolved this after not being able to enable location services since upagrading to iOS 7. Posting the solution here 'cause I couldn't find it anywhere else.
I enabled Restrictions under Settings > General > Restrictions and created a passcode (I'm not sure if this was part of the solution, but it wasn't enabled for me by default.)
In Restrictions, under Privacy, Location Services was set to "Allow Changes" (This still didn't solve the issue of the greyed-out Location Services switch though - I still couldn't turn it on.)
Also in Restrictions, I also switched "Find My Friends" to "Allow Changes"
Once I did step 3, the switch under Settings > Privacy > Location Services was no longer greyed out and could be switched on.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

Connect the iPod to its syncing computer. Let it charge for 1/2 hour . If iTunes sees the iPod restore it via iTunes
Next see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible in iTunes so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

As the App Store is pre-installed on the device, it can't really be removed. I'm thinking the icon is either stashed on another folder, or it's been turned off. If it's in a folder the only way to really find it is to look through all folders on your device for the icon. To check if it's turned off, go to Settings > General > Restrictions (it will ask for a passcode, if your children went into restrictions they created this passcode if it didn't already exist) and make sure "Installing Apps" didn't get turned off (if it's turned off the icon disappears from the Home screens).

Yes thank god some people felt my frustration today. When I saw it said Siri on the update I was like finally. I tried finding it after the update and was so sad and ****** that it was to good to be true. With apple being so advanced and stuff this is stupid how the I pad 2 can't have it but a phone can.
