I just bought a new ipod nano and although ,it will show that it is syncing, none of the music from my i tunes made it onto the nano , I tried restarting my computer and that did not work. any ideas?

As you connect your ipod to iTunes, an option in the upper right of the screen will appear. When you click this, it will show the different menu for your ipod.

I am going to give my old one to my husband. I plugged my new ipod touch into my computer and put my musice library on it. I then tried to clear my old ipod touch. Just connect your iPod to your computer, let iTunes come up, and then select Restore to Factory Settings. This will clear off every thing and install the current version of iOS for that generation. You can name the device and then set up iTunes to synch the items you choose.
If you have more than one computer, let hubby set up his own iTunes account and Apple ID so you don't get your stuff mixed up. -
My G5 PowerPC still works great, but what is the latest OS that is possible. I just bought a new HP Printer and it is not compatible with OS 10.4. Is there any hope?
A PPC G5 cannot run any version of OS X beyond Leopard 10.5.8.
You should be able to find a Leopard retail (black) install disk on eBay. A grey update disk is machine specific and won't work. -

Is the iPod that connects an iPod touch? If not that does not mean anything since iOS devices like iPod touch, iPhone and iPad use different drivers than other iPods. -
I am having trouble looking at video podcasts on my ipod touch. they are all greyed out. I have tried removing them and resyncing. this did not work. any ideas?

I just bought a new Ipod classic and turned the brightness up to 100% but it's still almost too dark to see! Is this defunct or what?

The router might be bad or incompatible, but let's be optimistic.
On System Preferences, go to Network/Advanced/PPP. Only two items should be checked: Connect Automatically When Needed and Disconnect when switching user accounts. Uncheck everything else. Now, click Okay on the end of the page. The next time you're online, you shouldn't be disconnected.
If you still get disconnected like before, we might be dealing with a router issue - which can get rather complicated. -

Did you initiallysetup the iPod via wifi?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs? (iTunes purchases only)

I just bought a new Macbook Pro and under current operating system, it list OS X 10.9.1 as my current system and says I can update to Mavericks. Isn't 10.9.1 the newest OS for Mac? This is my first Mac and I'm not sure about the way it lists the OS systems in the "about this computer tab". I tried to update to Mavericks and it will not allow me to update, despite meeting all of the above requirements. Can anyone help me?

I bought a new ipod touch today. I tried to install it and it says i need itunes 10.4 so i tried to download that, it said i needed mac os x 10.5 so i tried to down load that it gave me another message. how do i get my new ipod onto my mac? Or do i need to return the ipod?
New iPod Touch devices require a minimum of Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8 in addition to a fairly recent version of iTunes. If you are running Tiger (10.4) or earlier, you can't just update to Leopard for free; you have to buy it.
