There is a toolbar feature in the lower right corner of the taskbar. I tried to set up the Links toolbar. I can drag addresses to this, but when I click them, nothing happens. What should happen is the site/page whose address I clicked should open.

I checked out the links you provided. One is dead, one is for Windows 7, which doesn't apply to my problem because I'm using Windows 8, and I've been checking out the third.
I'm a novice and may not have the right vocabulary to explain myself. The Links toolbar is accessed from the bottom right side of the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Apparently Firefox is necessary to use this, as everyone I've talked to swears it's not visible for IE.
What I'm referring to is Right-click "show hidden icons." Scroll up to Toolbars. Scroll over to Links. Check it to enable it. Then what should happen is I should be able to drag the address/url from the top of the page to this menu and click on it when I want to go back to that particular page. That is what is not working. Nothing happens when I click the addresses in the Links menu.

When typing an address in the location bar and pressing enter, nothing happens and the site does not load. How can I fix this?

When I type a new URL in the address bar (or location bar), and I either type the complete URL or select from the drop down list, nothing happens. I hit enter, and the website does not load in the current tab, new tab nor in a new window. Exactly the same when I hit the green arrow to the right of the address bar. I am using Firefox 8, and all my add-ins are up to date.
It has been working before. The setting to get Firefox to open new pages in a new tab from the address bar is there, so it should open a new tab. But I get nothing at all!

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

My operating system is OS X (version 10.6.8) and I have a Mac Mini.

Trust me when I say this coming from 20 years of experience.
Get a powered external drive, format it 1 Partition Option: GUID and OS X Extended Journed as the format in Disk Utility.
Download and install Carbon Copy Cloner, clone internal drive to external drive.
Set a schedule to remind you to do it at least once a week, keep it near your charger.
When you plug your charger in, do plug the clone and power the machine up, set the display to sleep only,
CCC will do the rest.
If you want to boot from it, hold the option/alt and select it Startup Manager.
I've seen many TimeMachine and TimeCapsule nightmares and so far haven't seen a problem from anyone using a bootable clone.
It's simple, it's easy, it's more reliable and more powerful than what Apple does and it only takes plugging in a extra cable.
Make as many clones as you want, keep them time seperated, off site etc. etc.
Cables don't have network issues, clones can be verified in seconds merely by booting from them.
Clones protect your productivity, your up in seconds on a clone despite even the hard drive dying.
Software problem? No sweat, boot of the clone and reverse clone your problems away.
If you want to fuss and muss with half implemented TimeMachine and TimeCapsule network headaches then prepare to suffer.
I don't like to suffer, I bought a Mac not to suffer, but it appears you do with TimeMachine and TimeCapsule.

You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

My volume only works when I either am using iTunes or a bluetooth speaker. How can I fix this?

The title is fairly self explanitory, I cannot hear anything from my computer speakers, it wont even have sound when I plug in headphones, but oddly enough, it works with bluetooth speakers.. To make things stranger, It also works with iTunes, but iTunes only.. I cannot even hear the little noises that happen when you lower and raise the volume via the buttons on the keyboard... Start by rebooting the computer. If that doesn't work, search for adobefnt*.lst and delete all instances where * becomes a 2-digit number.

Try resetting the phone. Hold the home and power lock button until the Apple logo appears.If that does not work, turn the phone off and take the SIM out and then put it back in.

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? If that doesn't work, try resetting the network settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
If that fails, you may possibly have damaged the SIM. Verizon will need to give you a new one.
