hey, writing this from my phone. Please pardon how everything is typed. Quick question. Just downloaded the pear square on program. But now I can not open any applications. I beloved the message that popped up was something along the lines of 'do not have permission to access" ...so... I don't know whether or not I downloaded a virus or not. Have you tried deleting it from the iBooks app and redownloading it via the Purchased link in the ibookstore in the iBooks app ? Re-downloading.
If you have the same problem after re-downloading it then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Thanks for the help. The restore seems to have solved the problem. I had a bit of a panic attack when things started going haywire and the Apple 'Support' told me to call back during business hours!

You must have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite and will not work in Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion.

What exactly are you double-clicking?
Once software is installed on your computer, you can usually launch by clicking the icon on your computer's desktop. Or by looking inside Start > Programs (Win) or Applications Folder (Mac).

please try this (all terms are translated from my German programs to my best knowledge):
1. Did the creator of the pdf file enable the import options?
2. See import options: choose an other visibility option for your layer.
3. Let you show the import options and click into one with a black background and try these out (often a gray is selected).
4. See trimming: try the different modes there. Often works: "Media".
5. Is the pdf file (eg from Word) correctly created?
6. Is the PDF file protected? >>> no import possible.
7. If that does not help, store the pdf file in Acrobat, repair possible errors, run the PDF Optimizer before placing in InDesign.

However, please goto www.trinitystone.biz (using Firefox 5)and look at how the top menu bar has a black box surrounding it and the bottom menu also has this black bar. It is not supposed to be there, if you view the site from IE, you will see what it is supposed to look like. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Can you explain the problem in more detail - "not allowing me to access" isn't clear to me. If you get any errors, please give the full wording. If you just don't seem to have any useful functions under TOOLS, make sure you are NOT still running Adobe Reader.

1. Insert your DVD.
2. Open Disk Utilities (Application> Utilities> Disk Utilities). Highlight your DVD and press "New Image" on the upper toolbar.
3. Choose the location you would like to save your DVD from the drop down menu, "Desktop" is usually the best choice. Then click Save.
4. When finished, your DVD icon will appear on the desktop with the .dmg extension.
5. With iMovie open, double-click the .dmg file you created to mount it. The iMovie import window will then appear asking you to choose. Click Import All and wait for the Import to complete.
