I just downloaded the IOS 5.0, and I can´t find my contacts or pics, and also I am gettin a "syncserver not working" message

I don´t know how to restore my information in my iphone, I am afraid that I have lost it, because they are appearing several messages of things not working: synsserver, mdcrashtool, mobilebackup.
Yesterday I selected the option for copying my info, and after the IOS 5 was installed I can´t find them.
Please help!

Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

I found a solution that worked for me:
What I did:
1. Uninstalled iTunes, but didnt need to remove other related software components
2. Downloaded and installed iTunes from here (as you suggested): iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
3. I didnt have to reset Sync History or change anything and it works!

By that I mean go back to an iPhone 3GS, if iOS 6 is so important to you.
iOS 7 has been out for months, and not only are there hundreds of news articles aboutit, you could have easily viewed the look of the new format on the Apple website, any Apple store, or in fact any retail store that sells iPhones.
Unfortunately, at this point, you have only yourself to blame if you dislike the 'look' of iOS 7.

Here is the thing the actual license for Apple to have a native YouTube app has expired you must understand this more about Apple removing Google from its ecosystem and less about actual licenses. If Apple was so inclined I am almost certain they could have continued to provide a native YouTube app.
Do you really think that Apple Maps are "better" for iOS users? You know that you can set your default search to another provider such as Bing? Imagine Apple changing its default Safari search to Bing. You must understand that Google makes more from searches on iOS devices than it does on everyting that is Andriod (source:http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/google-earns-four-times-more-from-ios-than-a ndroid/). Apple is slowly and meticulously working on freeing iOS of Google products.
Of course it is a free market and Apple will most certainly allow Google's apps on their app store.

Can you play those songs in iTunes on your computer?
Make sure they are all part of your iTunes library before you sync and that they were bought with the same AppleID you use on your phone.

Olny developer's and seleted testers have access to iOS 5 at this time. They also have the ability to access the Developer's forum. I you do not have access to the developer's frurm you are not an authorized user of iOS 5. We can't help you in this forum since this forum is for released products.

After last icloud backup, unrequested by me public holidays in the UK have been marked on the calendar and I can't find how to delete this. Also, I have been trying to delete a birthday from the same calendar for months and it keeps reappearing.

Are you also restoring from your backup? That sounds like what is happening or someone else has your Apple ID.
A backup to iCloud would have no way to add UK holidays to your calendar. Open Calendar, tap on Calendars at the bottom middle of the page and untick the ones you don't want.
