I just got a new computer with windows 7 (if that matters) And i want to sinc my iphone 3gs apps to my new computer but the only option itunes is giving me is to erase all apps and. How do I sinc the apps without erasing them off my phone?
Please someone answer this and help me. I do not want to erase my apps beacuse than I cant redownload them on my computer. Please someone reply as soon as possible!
Why you can't redownload? Don't you have the Apple ID that used to download these apps?
You can "transfer purchaces" by right click on your iphone in iTunes but i guess you computer is not authorized and will ask you to authorize with Apple ID. Try it.

The problem is your friend's music does not belong to you. It is owned by your friend.
I'm afraid you cannot do what you are trying to do. Restoring the iPhone is what you would have to do.
In the future, put your music on the computer and transfer it to the iPhone, not the other way. -
I have a full library in itunes. I can still purchase form the Ipod but since buying a new computer, I can't recover the library or account on the new computer. Old computer ran windows xp now running windows 7
Why can't you recover the account? The account is not tied to the computer... simply log in.
The media must be moved from one computer to another, simply signing into iTunes does not cause it to magically appear. -
The new Fox tab feature got rid of my old fox tab and all of its pages. I didn't request the installation and have lost all of my links, I really want it back.

I recently purchased a new computer that has Windows 8. I downloaded the current version of windows (11.1 I believe). When I try to open itunes, the error message says the itunes library can't be opened because it was created with a new version. How do I get my library to sync to the new computer? I tried transferring the library from an older computer to the new on by copying the file to a flash drive and pasting it to the music library. It shows up but does not open and gives me the same message. I looked online for answers but did not find any that solved the problem. I tried downloading an older version of itunes but that did not work either. HELP!

Firebug is supposed to show the changes of the site "in fly" while editing HTML code. But Edit is disabled permanently, only Remove (or Delete) element is functional

This just started. When I close firefox it warns me that I am closing multiple tabs. and will not let me save them. the only option is cancel or OK. When I say OK and restart Firefox all my tabs are going:-( This happens every time now. I have just bought a Compaq Desktop Computer with Windows 7 but I do not want to set itup until I know how to transfer my 1800 songs from my ITUNES library on this old Windows XP Pro to a new set up on my Compaq. If anybody could please help me in simple language ( I am only a user with very little knowledge and nil jargon) I should be most grateful. Is there anybody out there to solve my dilemma?
Did you purchase all your music from iTunes, or import it from CDs?
If you've purchased all your music from iTunes, it now keeps track of your purchased items. All you would need to do is download iTunes on your new computer and log in with your Apple ID (the account you set up on iTunes). Then on the right hand side (in the bar) near the top there is a section that says "Purchased" *NEW*. There it will show you all your music and give you an option to re-download it on to your new computer. *You will need to authorize the new computer and deactivate the old one if you're not using it anymore*
If you imported your songs (or otherwise obtained), my best suggestion to you is to get a USB stick/thumb drive/external hard drive and copy all your music from your old computer on to the USB stick. (You can do it with a network, but that's assuming you have one set up already in your home).
To do that, you need to go to Music > iTunes > iTunes Library (folder) (this may not be exact as I use a Mac. I'm going from memory here). Right-click the folder and click "Copy". Go to My Computer and click on whatever drive is your external/USB stick (would be like E:\ or something). Double click on that, then right click in the next window and click Paste. This will copy your entire iTunes Library on to the separate hard drive.
Once it is finished (and with 1800 songs it will take a while, so go read a book or something), properly eject the external hard drive and plug it in to your new computer. Open Music > iTunes and do the same process to copy and paste the folder into there.
Once that is finished, open iTunes and all your music should be there. If not, go File > Import Folder and then find your iTunes Music folder and click it, then click Import and it will import them into iTunes for you.

I was given an iphone 4s by my sister as she got a new one, now i want to clear it so that i can set it up with my own details, if i erase all content and settings will this affect anything on her new iphone as it is synced to the same gmail account
her contacts are connected directly with the Google Server so as long as they are saved to her Gmail account she should be 100% fine.. the only contacts she may lose are the ones that she added directly onto the phone and did not sync to her Gmail account.. so you should just double check with her on that

If other devices can connect to the network without problems, it means that the router can provide wireless internet. For this situation, an isolation process is needed to be able to find a fix.
Was the computer tested to connect through Wi-Fi before you bought it?
Did you do Mac address filter on your router?
Make sure that the router is using WPA/WPA2 or WPA2 encryption type just like what Chester has recommended. If your router is already set to that security type, you may test by disabling the wireless security of the WI-Fi router. Check if it will connect or not.
Another thing to check is the properties of your wireless connection. To do that, Go to Network and Sharing center > Click change adapter settings > right click “Wireless” > go to Properties> click Internet protocol IPV4> check the Properties button below > make sure that it’s set to both Obtain IP automatically and Obtain DNS server automatically.

I just purchased a new PC with windows 8.1 and downloaded new itunes, but when I try to "restore" my music library from the DVDS i made from my old pc it doesn't automatically restore my library as it used to. How do I restore my music library from DVDS?
Thanks but I already did read all of the help notes, which aren't very helpful for this. I did find out the problem- Apple.....they evidently changed one of the major upsides to their old software- being able to back up your entire library onto dvd's- so you can longer do that or restore from the dvds created from older versions of itunes. I suspect greed is at play in that Apple now wants you to pay $24.95 per year to use a "cloud" service where they back it up for you. I can buy a lifetime supply of back up dvds for one year's worth of cloud. So I am now looking into other music software as I am Appled-out. There is no reason for them to take away the back up portion of the software other than to sell you thrir cloud service. As we have already given them a ton of money for 5 Ipods and a bunch of music, I think we have contributed enough. Time to look to solutions outside of the Apple money tree. But thank you for reading and replying.

Got new computer with windows 8.1 and installed latest itunes, went to update music library on my nano 5th gen and plugged in recognized in my library but when it synced , it said sync was complete but did not update at all, then reset the ipod to factory , BIG MISTAKE plugged in again and it did the same thing except now I have no music on at all it syncs but will not put any music on , previous computer had xp on it, what would the problem be and what would solution be????
