I just got a new iPod touch 4th generation and the latest iOS update (4.3.3) isnt installing

It says the software version is 4.2.1 amd that it's downloaded the iOS 4.3.3 version, but when I hit the update button it does the "extracting" bit and then when it gets to the "verifying update with Apple" it says
The iPod "Tanuj's iPod" could not be updated. An unknown error occured (3194)
I looked up that error and it said that that meant that my iTunes wasnt up to date. I checked, but it actually was up to date, but I re-installed the whole thing just to be sure, but it's still not updating.

Yep, it say iTunes 10.3.1.55
I tried searching for 3194, and someone pointed to http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error3194 and that says:
Error 3194: Resolve error 3194 by updating to the latest version of iTunes. "This device is not eligible for the requested build" in the updater logs confirms this is the root of the issue. For more Error 3194 steps see: This device is not eligible for the requested build above.
I'm sure I have the latest version of iTunes, but what's an updater log?

What type network is yu router set up for? The 4G iPod can only connect and see 2.4 GHZ networl like B, G and the 2,4 GHz N. There is also a 5 GHz N but the iPod will not even seethat network.

If it is plugged into a USB hub (or the spare keyboard port), try connecting it to a direct USB port.
Also, try doing this Reset procedure, while it is connect to power.

I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1. I updated to iOS 5.1.1 on a Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack 3 installed on the Windows XP (which I believe is the latest version). After updating, I unplugged my iPod from the computer. I saw that all my photos and videos were on my iPod, but there were no apps. A window popped up and told me to enter a passcode for my iPod. I entered a passcode. I then locked my iPod and entered what I thought to be the correct passcode, but my iPod remained unlocked. Desperate, I tried many passcodes with failure. After a while, my iPod became disabled for a long time. I decided to reset my iPod. After I reseted it, I chose to reset from my earlier back up. After reseting, my computer loaded on all my apps. But, when I started using my iPod, I realized all my photos, videos, music, app data (like game saves and high scores), etc. were gone! I have no idea what to do and I am very stressed about this! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET ALL MY STUFF BACK!!!!!!

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. I'm guessing you have Itunes on your computer, So when you go to plug your ipod touch in and itunes opens if it is syncing to your computer it will come up with "Syncing" and whatever the name of your ipod is. Click the (x) on the right hand side and it should stop the sync. After you have stopped the computer syncing you now have to click on the icon that has your ipod connected (so if it is called Ipodtouch click on that) then it should say in the info section IOs update or something like that and click on that. This will update your ipod touch to the latest IOs without syncing and/or deleting your apps. Once you have updated the IOs the apps will be synced with your computer automatically.

It's Christmas morning and my parents bought me a new iPod Touch 4th Generation 4G 32GB. I started charging it, 5mins later I walked back into my room and there I saw it - frozen, white screen with light green, vertical lines. It's brand new, and I just opened it about 5mins prior. I never dropped it, it never touched water. My mum bought it at the nearby Target. I opened it, in it's case and everything. So I have no clue what happened. I really hope the workers at Target didn't just sell me a broken iPod. This really stinks, and I really hope somebody can help me. I feel terrible for my mum having spent so much on it. I recently purchased a new iPod Touch. The "keyboard" of my first generation was beginning to play up, but it still worked fine with my TomTom carkit (if you'll allow for the fact that being restricted to OS 3 meant you couldn't update the software either). But, contrary to what I'd been told, the fourth generation one refuses to work. I think it's making contact because I hear the connection beep, but it doesn't charge up or seem able to find the satellite connection. I've seen someone saying it was a physical width problem. If it's making contact, why isn't it capable to pick up a signal? Is there a compatibility issue after all?
