I just installed the new version of iTunes and it wiped my entire library. Is there a way that I can restore it?
So basically when I installed the new version of iTunes and reopened the program it was as if I started brand new. All of my playlists, songs, and podcasts no longer exsisted. Is there a way to restore everything back to normal? I still have all of the files on my comp, but re importing them wont bring back my playlists...

I recommend removing and reinstalling iTunes using these steps:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I installed the new version of Itunes and it created havoc
Yesterday I installed the new version of ITunes. This am I lost all of my audio. I did a system restore (on a PC using Windows) and it got rid of ITunes. I had to get a remote tech. from DELL to reinstall the audio, which is ok now. I uninstalled all versions of ITunes and re installed the older version but now I can not get the ITunes library into the newly installed older version. It tells me it dosn't recognize the program that created it. It does have both the older and new files I think. I don't want to have to reinstall all of my CD's. Can anyone Help. I hope so.
Dell PC Windows XPOh ok...try using a third party program such as YamiPod or CopyPod, both free and will let you rip your iPod onto your iTunes.

My dad just got a new laptop that should be beyond capable of running iTunes. He installed it, tried to run it and it wouldn't open. I uninstalled it, re-downloaded it and tried to run it and it's a no go for me as well. Tried to run a repair and nothing. Tried to open it in safe mode and nothing. Does anyone have any ideas what might be gumming it up? His computer has a 1.5 gig Quad core, 4 Gig of Ram, is running on 64bit Windows 7 that is fully updated as of this morning and iTunes is doing jack squat Please help!FYI the sloution which are mentioned above are copied from below link and I just pasted the Information which were required. I just installed the latest version of iTunes on my windows 8 computer. I was trying to transfer an audiobook I downloaded through overdrive media console to my iPod nano. Overdrive says it was transferred successfully, but it is not in my iPod. I have had no problems transferring audiobooks until I downloaded this new version. Help!

Are you sure it's not 6.1.6? If it is, that is the latest iOS version that will work on a 4th generation iPod Touch. Later versions require a 5G iPod which has twice as much RAM.

I have just just installed a new version of itunes. When i tried to run the new version it came up with the message "The file ituneslibrary.itl cannot be read because it was created by newer version of itunes.
I installed the new version because itunes had not recognised my ipod nano 5G, and told me to reinstall. Itunes selected which version to install, so I don't understand what is going on. To add insult to injury it installed a pile of malware which I am still trying to get rid off.

I just downloaded the new version of iTunes 10 and now it won't let me drag and drop any files from my computer into my iTunes. It lets me play the song from the folder in my computer and then it opens with iTunes and plays the song all the way through, but then if I try to play it again, it says the file cannot be located. So then I go to locate and go to the folder and all that and select it and nothing happens.
Not sure whether for instance you initially had a Yahoo optimised version of Firefox, and have now overwritten it with an official Mozilla version. Although the Mozilla version should NOT add unwanted features, but the Yahoo version may well do.
If you merely need to find the Yahoo emails page quickly just add it as a bookmark or as a bookmark on the Bookmarks toolbar and make sure that is visible.
Clicking the star icon on the location bar whilst looking at your emails will bookmark the page.

Since I'd installed the new version of iTunes, iCal and Address book do not sync with my iPhone 3GS through iTunes anymore and I get an error message stating that iTunes can not sync with this iPhone. Was must i do to correct this issue and if i must, how dI reintall iTunes without loosing my content?
