Hi, I just recently purchased an ipod touch 5 and have already forgotten my password. I have not yet connected it to my computer so when I tried today it didn't show up as a device. When I tried to go into icloud on my other device, thinking that may help, it would not let me change the email because it was my school ipad. What should I do?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

My oldest daughter recently bought a new ipod touch and gave her old one to her brother. How do I unlink his ipod from her account and set up his own without losing the music and apps already on it?
Connect it to his iTunes library and set it up as a new device. You should be prompted to Erase and Sync the iPod if his iTunes library is separate from hers.
Or head to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all Content and Settings.

You said you restored the iPod. Was the restore successful, that is, it went though all the steps without errors?
Try a restore to factory settings/new iPod if yuhave not doe so so far.
Are you using the headphones that came with the iPod? Are you inserting the plug fully
Have you tried another set of headphones in the iPod?
The speaker is not that loud. -

Try authorize this computer in the store menu in Itunes. This worked for me. It seems that this is an account problem on iTunes.

You did install the latest iTunes (10.5) right? If the problem was that iTunes does not see the iPod try:

I have tried many times to restore my new IPod Touch 5G in I Tunes and it will not allow me to do it. My Ipod will not turn on at all even when on a fresh charge. The new ipod touch will have Siri with the A5 chip. Since the ipad 2 also has the A5, will the ipad 2 finally get Siri??
It's probably due to the RAM and processor limitations.

Just got my ipod touch three days ago. It seems to think I am located in Thailand even though I am in Wyoming. How can I change my location?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that Apple's database has the incorrect location of nearby routers. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.

My iPod touch 4th gen. Keeps giving me the error message "cannot connect to the app store when I sign in. I can open the app store and browse it but I can't download anything. I have full signal strength with my wi-fi and safari is working perfect. I turned it off and restarted it 3 times now. I have an iPad 2 and the app store works flawlessly with it. What is going on?
Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

We are evaluating the use of iPod touch devices to record best practice videos on our manufacturing floor and to post to an internal Moodle web site. How can you upload a video from the iPod touch to a site other than YouTube? The Moodle upload interface is expecting a file selection dialog box like windows or OSX. I do not want to have to go through an intermediary step of messing with a pc.

(music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
