When you click the download link on [http://getfirefox.com GetFirefox.com], you should be asked if you wish to Run or Save the file. If the described situation happens when trying to Run the download, try instead to Save it and put the file on your Desktop or a similar place where you are certain that you can find it again.
When the download is complete, try double-clicking the downloaded file in the normal Windows Explorer (browse your way to the file from My Computer). This should start the installation.
If you notice in the Explorer window that the file seems to be lacking the Firefox orange/blue icon, rightclick the file and select Properties. The picture should look somewhat like the attached picture (except that mine's in danish, but that is irrelevant) if saved correctly - if it does NOT look like this, please describe the contents or attach a screenshot of the box. Especially what it says under "File type" - it should be "Program"; if it's not, we'll have to look into what the problem could be here.
Slightly off-topic, your Internet Explorer seems to be quite a bit out of date (IE 6, where current version is IE 8), so I would strongly recommend that you try to run Windows Update to get your system updated. If this is a company system (like a Terminal Server thin client machine), this may not be possible, and your system administrator will most likely have to help you. -

While trying to update Adobe Reader XI 10.0.06 to 10.0.07 on my laptop running W7 Home Premium x 64, I get error message 2203. The same occurs if I try to uninstall before manually install the new version. Can you please help?

Try removing the current Reader using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, then install 11.0.07 from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ -
I am trying to download the latest version of iTunes to my PC (windows XP) and I keep getting an error message or two. One is that it can't uninstall the previous itunes version, the other is that it can't find itunes.msi. I have tried removing the old version in add/remove programs, but it says the same error. I tried deleting every thing that has itunes in the file/folder/etc and it didn't help.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

i have the ipod touch 4th generation and the screen is white, i was going to charge it and it turned white. I have tried to reset it but the apple logo will not show up and it will not turn on! i just got it for christmas... can you please help?
The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod Touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. If it's an 8 GB iPod Touch it's definitely a 2G iPod Touch as there was never such a thing as a 3G 8 GB iPod Touch. See this article to help verify what generation iPod Touch you have.

Up until about a month ago I was able to shrink my photos with shrink pic. I use yahoo for my emails and since they did an update I can no longer shrink my photos using Mozilla Firefox. It sounds like you are running the student edition which comes with a
textbook and doesn't support external code such as DLLs, CINs, or
ActiveX. You might want to check with others at your university and see
about getting access to an academic edition or a
full edition.

My iPod Nano 7th Generation couldn't be detected by iTunes when I plugged in. Thank you! My solution was slightly different, but in the end, seeing what was going on in the Help menu in the browser did the trick. Turned out I had been stuck for who knows how long "downloading" a version 3! Also had a toolbar to disable but not the Ask.
