I just upgraded the software on my iPhone and LOST all of my contact information!
Help! What can I do to recover my contacts????
The iTunes icon and cable means that it's gone into recovery mode - you will need to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes and you should be able to use that to reset the phone, and you can then restore/resync your content to it

My aunt recently upgraded her software to ios 6 and lost all of her contacts. However, when I updated my software this did NOT happen. She hasn't backed up to iCloud, so does anyone know of a way to restore her contacts without the iCloud?
Her contacts would be wherever she put them
The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service regularly. If she failed to do this, then they are likely gone. -
I just upgraded the software on my iPhone 4s. Now the touchscreen doesn't work and on the screen is the itunes logo, an arrow and a plug. I have powered it off and on and nothing changes

I have just upgraded the software on my iphone to version 6. I saved all apps and itunes purchases to my computer before upgrading. How can I now put the apps I bought back onto my phone and also onto my new ipad?

Upgrading the OS does not remove your apps and purchases. -

I updated the software on my iphone 4. In the final stages, it asked me if I wanted to merge my contacts to ICloud? I said yes and it finished the sync. Now I have no contacts on my phone. Where did they go?
I am lost without my contacts?check icloud.com..it will ask you to enter your apple id password..and then into contacts in there you should find your contacts

I get a sim card not supported just after I have upgraded to the latest software offer by apple for my Iphone. It is requesting my to insert the sim card that came and I am afrid that may not be possible now. I have it it the card that was use earlier before the upgrade.
That indicates yourphone was hacked to unlock it before you upgraded. It has either now (best case) re-locked to the carrier it was originally locked to, or (worst case) become a brick.

If the content was important, why was it not backed up prior to the update?
If the content was not backed up, there is no way to recover it. -
Since Upgrading the software on my Iphone 3GS to the iOS5, I have not been able to back up my on my laptop, it starts syncing then kicks me out.
I have uninstalled my internet security and that is not the problem (so re-installed)
I have updated the Windows XP to service Pack 3
I have un installed and re installed iTunes as well
And none of this has worked!
I was going to upgrade my phone to the iPhone 4S but dont feel i can now as worried it wont sync.
Please can anyone help me as this is rather frustrating now!

I upgraded the software on my iphone 4 and now it's downloading every email message from all my accounts (all previously read). 200 at a time. Manual delete is a problem since there are 3500. Suggestions?
Wow, just posting and it seems that there is a solution that is working for me...
What I've did is I turned off iTunes Match on my iPhone, then turned in on again. Now in my iTunes library on my mac I can get the duplicates to be matched or uploaded to iCloud with a right-click, add to iCloud. iTunes Match starts to check the songs and everything is done correctly. Pretty nice! -
I just updated the software on my iphone 4 and prior to updating I could double click and start the camera without logging in, now I can't. How do I fix?
Nothing to fix...things have changed...slide the camera icon up now..no more double tap.

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.

THis is now the 5 th time I have written this !!!
I have a iPhone 4s i did the software update ages ago and lost the camera roll .....then I did the update and all my photos returned ...now on Christmas eve they all dissapeared
I now just albums .... All Photos but that only has 77 photos , and that's it over 1000 photos have just gone ??

Did you make a backup of your iPhone before you updated the iOS?
Did you import the photos to your computer?
Were the photos in the Camera Roll, Photo Stream or synced iTunes albums?
