I keep getting connection timeouts

Intermittently, I my MacBook loses its internet connection and I have to restart the computer to get back online. It happens every so often, not at set intervals, but enough that in an hour, I can have to restart everything several times. Read: ANNOYING!
When I restart, it automatically restarts Chrome (or previously Firefox) but not to all the tabs it should. I have to force quit the browser and then restart it manually.
I've wiped the system and started from newly downloaded Mountain Lion and gone back to factory resets on my Airport Extreme.
What else can I do?
My MacBook is an older model but has 4g memory.

How are you trying to transfer them? Via Bluetooth? If so, that will not work.
You need to get the contacts from the Casio phone into a supported contact manager on your computer (Address Book/Contacts on a Mac or Outlook on a PC) then sync them to the iPhone via iTunes or iCloud.

If I run the following (on the machine I'm trying to set up the share)
smbclient -L localhost -U%
I got the following output
Connection to localhost failed (Error NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED)
so I thought it might be something incorrect with the iptables side of things, however I haven't really touched that at all and it seems to look correct

So from my (very little) knowledge this appears correct (I think)... However it appears that something is blocking access somewhere.

You may think you are connected to the internet, but maybe not. Click on Safari and see if it connects.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Constantly getting connection timeouts when loading websites, have to keep retrying to get pages to load.

Had this problem for a few days now. Sometimes pages will load quickly and fine. But other times they will take a while and then just display a connection timeout error message. After trying a few times to load page again it will work. As you can understand this is very frustrating.
Any ideas what is happening and how to solve it?

Why do i get connection timeout at my workplace

I upgraded yesterday to Lion and as soon as it installed I couldnt get back online at my workplace. I am connecting to an unsecured wifi.

I am having a similar problem. When I got my new MBA, it connected fine on the unsecured network at work, but will no longer connect and keeps giving me the CONNECTION TIMEOUT error. I can connect fine at home and on several other wireless networks I tried. My IT department said that they have not had any issues with the network. If anyone know the solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Help needed to update a 4th gen ipod touch running version 4.3.5 (8L1) to the latest 6.0 version. When I connect and try to update i keep getting a box which states that a connection error occured and I cannot update.
I have been given a new laptop for xmas which runs on windows 8, and the new itunes version (which is in itself a hurdle as I am a technophobe!) and this is all becoming a bit fustrating.
I have connected, updated and synced my iphone successfully, but just hit a brick wall on the ipod. (which incidentally maybe where this laptop will end up!!)

Let me get this straight...... I have paid for content on itunes, bought the apple devicds in order to play said content, now I have to subscribe $25 for the privilage of playing MY library content on MY other devices. Which wasn't such an issue to do before the new and improved itunes version!!
Have I got that correct. I think I cannot associate my other iOS devices with my library because I am unwilling to pay further through the nose!!!??? or am I missing something?

If you have the original router details at hand simply reset the router to factory and reset the lan/wifi settings back to the way you like them.

Why do I keep getting "Connection needed" message ...

I've only had my 5800 XM for a few days, and I can't figure out why I keep getting this message:
Connection needed:
Connect to 'Internet' via 'T mobile Internet'
Accept and set 'Use access pont'
to 'Automatically'
This appears when I wake up the phone with the slider button on the side. I can't figure out what application is trying to make a connection. When I look for open connections, I only see the bare minimum that I need to run the phone.
If it makes any difference I'm running the T-Mobile prepaid plan w/o any data capabilities. I use my wireless connection to get to the internet.
Also, I started the app update utility and now I have an Ovi Contacts 1.20 update that won't install.

Hi,I would like to suggest a couple of things, first buy and install Best Taskmanager from ovi store, it will show you all the applications running on your phone , and as you would need to connect your phone to the web unless you are in range of wifi, I would really recommend you add unlimited internet to your contract, it really will make your whole 5800 experience much better, and it won't really matter what app is trying to connect to the web. If you can only use wifi you might as well use the computer at home/work for your web browsing. You can as suggested simply go into your connection settings and disable them, but it just seems a shame to remove so much functionality from what is quite a good and advanced handset.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
