I know how to add lyrics to a song in iTunes and then see them on my iPod. But now I'm interested in watching those lyrics on my windows pc...can I ? What do I do so than I can see the lyrics of the song while it plays ?

This is the correct behavior. When you play a song, the play count and last played time gets updated. When you resync the iPod, the track gets copied to the iPod to update these new changed fields.
There is no fix for this, this is what it is supposed to do.

Sorry genius.....but if the Recovery disk shows up that means the disk cable isn't bad.  Could be he did have a screwed up HDD and when he put the NEW HDD in (after putting the OS on it via USB) the computer didn't reconize it and therefore didn't boot the OS.  Just maybe right genius?  Don't rush to criticize someone's recommendations until you realize other possibilities.  (I did say "if it does")

  • I have recently purchased an Ipod with 2430 tunes stored on it and I wish to transfer these tunes to Itunes and then upload them to another Ipod.  How do I do this please?

I have recently purchased an Ipod with 2430 tunes stored on it and I wish to transfer these tunes to I tunes and then upload them to another Ipod I own.  In plain speak how do I do this please?

On-The-Go Playlists, created on your iPod Classic, are added to your iTunes Library when you Sync the iPod to the same iTunes Library that you have been using up to now.
But note that On-The-Go Playlists, saved on the Classic, are named as New Playlist 1, New Playlist 2, etc. and are listed at the end of the Playlists. When you Sync your iPod with its iTunes Library, those saved Playlists are transferred to the Library, renamed as On-The-Go X (where X is the next available number) and then added back to your iPod with the new name. They will also be in correct alphabetical order, so they will be in the Playlists list under O for On-The-Go.
If you also have an On-The-Go Playlist on the iPod (which has not been saved), that too will be uploaded to iTunes in the same manner.
For some unknown reason, you will also probably see one extra, but empty, Playlist created in iTunes. This is a bug, which may get fixed one day! Until then, you simply have to delete in in iTunes.

    Hi mafiose15,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Restoring your iPod to factory settings is the best way to try and get it back to working order. You can use the instructions below to restore it:
    How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
    Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.
You can find the instructions in this article:

Try one or more of the following:
    > Restart Your Computer
    > Uninstall and Reinstall iTunes
    > Reset iPod (nothing will get deleted)
    > Look in My Computer (Windows 98, XP) OR Computer (Windows Vista or 7) and see if your iPod is in there.
In some cases (and this happened to me before) plug your iPod in and out your computer a few times. It should get it going. If not, then I strongly recommend starting your computer.

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.

    Hello...
Ummmm.hmhmhmh... I have a question, My friend burnt me a cd and I am trying to get the songs from the cd onto my ipod nano but am having some trouble. When you click up the itunes icon and then i put the cd in the (:C) drive it won't show up above where it says Amy's ipod and the ipod icon. I am trying to rip the cd but when i put the cd in the drive and have Windows Media Player up and go to the "Rip" part no songs will show up. I need some help...
Please help me if you know anything... THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!

I'm assuming that you're saying TV Shows that you add to your library from an external source aren't showing up in the TV Shows section on your iPod. If so, this is because, well, it's just the way it is. Only TV Shows purchased directly through the iTMS (that are listed as a TV Show by default) will show up under the TV Shows category on your iPod.
If you'd like Apple to change this, send them feedback.

  • I need to acquire impulsive signal(s) and then write them to a file - but I need a good approach

Okay, I am pretty new to Lab View, and would appreciate suggestions of how to approach a problem.
    My
only LabView experience has been writing a simple .vi to acquire
voltage signals in a loop at a certain sample rate, get 5 of them each
time the loop iterated (it did so every second), average the 5 samples,
and dump them into a file at every loop iteration.
    That
was for continuous data acquisition while viewing/monitoring the data
at the same time, and was probably not the most efficient way (or even a
    good way) to do it.
    Now,
I am doing something different.  I want to record voltage signals but
only after a trigger event has occured, and only until a certain time
    window after the trigger event.
Should I use continuous data sampling?
Or should I sample "N" samples?
Should I use "producer / consumer" structure?
Should I continuously log to a TDMS file (I just started reading about that.... I used lvm files before....)?
    I
am very confused.  I have enough programming knowledge to be dangerous,
but am very new to Lab View.  Any quick pointers to get me started?
    This is sort of time-critical....
    Thanks a lot
    -Jay

    Jay,
There are quite a few examples in the example finder of how to implement various types of triggers IIRC.
How long is your time window and how fast do you want to sample?  That will probably determine whether you want to use N samples (for shorter time windows where all your samples will fit in the hardware buffer) or continuous (for when you will want to make several reads before you have enough data).
Producer/consumer is a very versatile design pattern.  If you have a long running acquisition that you'd like to be able to cancel or update the UI mid run then you might want to use it.  If, on the other hand you are doing a quick (in UI terms) acquistion then there may not be any need.  Templates and design patterns also become more important the longer you plan to keep the code around -- the more you plan to maintain and add onto the VI the more thought should go into the design.
File format is often a personal preference.  TDMS is a richer file format (faster, smaller, IMO normally better) than LVM (essentially just a text file).  TDMS files can be opened in Excel with a plugin or natively in any NI tools (LabVIEW, DIAdem etc.)  Text files such as LVM can be opened with just about anything.  One thing that may force your decision is if you are acquiring large amounts of data quickly (too fast to buffer in RAM) then you'd definitely want to use TDMS as it is much faster and gives your hard drive a chance to keep up with the inflow of data.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.

  • Can I export my itunes movies onto an external hard-drive and then remove them from my computer, but still watch them when I plug in my external hard-drive?

I am running out of space on my macbook. What is taking up the most room is my movies. Can I put them on an external hard-drive and then watch them later after I remove them from my library?

  • I am just learning the cloud! How do I get my photos on my PC to show up in the cloud and then see them from my iPad?

New user.  Have iCloud set up on both my home PC (windows vista). And on my iPad 2.  Can't figure out how to see my pics on the iPad  that are on my PC

Open Windows explorer, select Photo Stream under Favorites on the left sidebar,:

Select the photos you want to import, then click Open.

  • My wife and Iare newbies with iPhone 5s. (Should have waited for the 6.) I have usediTunes for a long time for my iPods, but now we both want to use the iCloud do access different music up there. Any help in doing that? If we can do it, we will be ad

I'm running iTunes on a PC laptop and ready to move music to an independent hard drive. We want to add more music to it. I have used iTunes for a while for iPods. My wife and I have new iPhone 5S and would like to access the cloud for different types of music, but I will maintain the music in the cloud. (That's my job.) Can 2 iPhones use the same iCloud? We each have different Apple ID's. Thanks.

Music in the cloud is managed by the separate iTunes Match service ($25/year US). You would sign up to it on the PC, and your music library would be matched with the iTunes Store, and high quality versions of all songs would become available to you on any device also signed into iTunes Match. You should not delete your local copy from the PC, since you should retain a master version of all songs for safety.
You can use the same iTunes Match service, but you'd see the same music (you say you "would like to access the cloud for different types of music", but I'm not sure what you mean by that).

  • How do I get rid of songs with complications? I would just restore my ipod, but I bought alot of new music, and I can't download it to my computer, I really don't want to lose it. Any help?

So, awhilw back I tryed to sync my ipod with my friends itunes library, my ipod didn't have any room to store all the music so all the songs came up but can't be played. I tryed to sync my ipod to my itunes library, and it keeps saying the ipod's over capacity and won't download any of the new music I bought to the library. If I can somehow back up my new music to the icloud or something, that'd be great that way I could just restore my ipod then download all my music back on it. Is there a way to do that or did I just waste thirty bucks on music I can't listen to?

You need to delete the music you got from your friend. You fried does not have the licence/right to give you a copy of it.
I would restore the iPod from a backup on your computer and sync your own media to the iPod.

  • I synced photos to my 16GB iPhone 5s and then unsynced them due to storage space. now the photos don't exist on my device but they're still taking space and i don't know what to do?

    please help.

You uncheck the music in your iTunes library on your computer and along with sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, only checked songs in your iTunes library will be transferred to your iPhone or remain on your iPhone and the unchecked songs in your iTunes library that are currently on your iPhone will be removed when syncing.
Or make use of iTunes playlists and choose selected playlists, albums, artists under the Music selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and select the playlists below that you want transferred to your iPhone.
