I lost my Apple ID changing from iPhone 4 to 5S.

I uploaded from Itunes my iPhone 4 complete information to my new iPhone 5s. Results lost my Apple ID.   I created a new Apple ID and want to delete the old. How do I delete an old Apple ID?
Thank you very much.

you can't, but you can simply ignore it. but if you REALLY want to delete it, call apple customer support to ask for a deletion. though, you'll need the password and security questions of the old account.
you can manage your apple ID's at: https://appleid.apple.com/

I cannot get subtitles on my new smart tv. I've read all the solutions online and none of them work. When I try to airplay the BBC i player by mirroring my iphone 4 the subtitles disappear when I change from iphone to apple tv.

That's because the BBC iPlayer app uses basic AirPlay to show the content, this means the original content is sent to the Apple TV for it to decode rather than mirroring the screen of the iPad where the subtitles are added.

  • Changed from Iphone to Xperia Z1 and cant receive texts from iphone users

i recently changed from Iphone to Z1 but can not receive text messages from a lot of iphone users ( i can from some which i strange). i have turned off the Imessage setting on the old Iphone and let it sit for 30mins for apple servers to identify this. i have also done a software repair via PC Companion but still doesnt work.
    any suggestions?

The thing is that your friends still using iPhone must remove you from iMessage. Otherwise you might end up with this problem.

Create an account for him. and use that.
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

lock button stopped working,is it warranty case?in Apple will change my iPhone or will be repaired?  Sorry for my English

Nobody here can possible speak for Apple whether it is a warranty failure or not.  You need to take it into an Apple store or send it to Apple and have them evaluate it.  If they decide it is a warranty failure and you are still within your warranty period, then yes, it will be replaced with a factory refurbished unit for free.
If it is determined to be due to something you have done, then the warranty does not apply and you would have to pay the out of warranty replacement fee.

Yes, do a backup using iTunes and restore the new iPhone from that backup.
    Backup
    iTunes http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4946
Also make sure that you have synced the iPhone and that all of the App Purchases have been transferred by right clicking on the iPhone and clicking "Transfer Purchases". This will make sure that your Apps will be copied and sorted properly too.

I am currently having the same issue. Went from iphone 4 to Galaxy s3.  I changed user ID and Password online // turned off all imessages and icloud on I phone // also deregistered phone on itunes on computer // Verizon stated it would take 24 hours but nothing has yet updated // I went to the site to unregistered on apple support but the phone wasn't even listed on there. Is there anything else I should do? Should I just go back to my iphone at this point.. its been over a week. please help extremely frusterated .. thank you!
Call Apple Support.  They have a procedure that can unregister your Apple ID from iMessage and the phone number, as long as you can still receive regular text messages at the phone number on a non-iPhone.

  • Changed from iPhone 4 to galaxy s4... So frustrating

The other day my wife upgraded from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy S4. At first the problem was that she could not receive texts from anyone with an Apple product. I got around that by changing her Apple ID password, changing her phone number, and making sure everyone changed her contact info so that it no longer said she was an iPhone just a mobile number. This allowed her to receive SMS texts. However she still cannot receive MMS messages and it has me for a loss of what to try next. I feel like this is something that Verizon should be and make their customers aware of. I have seen many threads on here with people having similar problems going from apple to android products. If anyone has any ideas for the MMS messages please let me know. This is driving me insane.

Oops sorry, I just went back to that page and now it's not there so here's what was written.
Even easier solution...on the phone itself go to settings and simply turn off iMessages. My wife joined me on the "darkside" and that's all she did and everything worked great.

Brian is correct, the easier way (I have been doing thus switching from my iPhone 4 to sgs2) is to just turn imessage off. You MUST however turn imessage off BEFORE taking the similar out of the iPhone. Of not it will still send the messages to imessage.
Have this great phone I like, but I can't receive text messages from iphones. Tried several "fixes" including unregistering my old phone & number with apple. Verizon says I can't get a replacement, so i'm stuck with this phone that I can't receive texts from my colleagues and family. This is just crazy. Anybody found a solution?
    Correct Answer:
have the iphone users also delete their text history.  they shouldn't have to turn off imessage if you unregistered your apple account.  However it may be stored in their phone that you have imessage.  have them start from scratch also.

  • HT4993 changed from iphone to galaxy - cant receive messages from iphones

I recently  changed from an iphone to an andrtoid
However - now i can not receive any messages from an iphone
My wife still has an iphone and she had to go to Serttings = Messages - and turn on the send as SMS button to send me a message
However i cant go out and tell all my contacts who have an iphone to do this
Is there something tghat should have been done to my iphone before i turned it in ?

The following gives information of deactivating iMessage. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5185
Since you no longer have the phone you will need to contact Apple support: https://www.apple.com/support/appleid/contact/

  • I have a contact that changed from iPhone to Android, but my iPhone cannot recognize the switch and continues sending texts as iMessage.

I have an iPhone and one of my contacts switched from iPhone to Galaxy phones. But now when I text them, my messages continue sending as iMessage, even though they do not have the iMessage feature anymore. The only way my texts are sending is when I turn the iMessage feature completely off on my phone. I tried holding the individual iMessage texts down and clicking the "send as text" option but then my messages aren't delivering, I deleted and re-added the number, and restarted my phone. How do I make my phone recognize it's not an iPhone anymore?

It's not something you need to fix. The other person needs to deregister their number from iMessage: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203042

    You didn't see this bit?
"Your content won't be deleted from iCloud when you erase your device."
You only lose iCloud data from other devices if you manually delete the data. If you Erase all content and data, you keep iCloud data elsewhere.
