If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

You can't.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

I received a receipt for a purchase I did not make in the store. It's for a single $1.29 ringtone. The same day I received an email saying my account had been accessed from a different device than was usual. I followed the directions and change my password but I want to know if my account will be credited back the $1.39 for the ringtone I did not purchase.

Normally when you connect a new iPhone to your computer iTunes will recognize it as a new iPhone and ask you how would you like to set it up. If you didn't get that screen then you may have used the iPhone prior. If it didn't then try deleting all data then connect the iPhone 4 to the computer and it should go to the iPhone setup screen where it will give you the opportunity to setup your iPhone as a new device (the name of your old iPhone should be in the name box). If that don't happen then do this, keep your iPhone connected to the computer, launch iTunes then click on the iPhone icon in the left window then click on the app tab on the main window make sure all of the app have a check in the check box, also check all of your other tabs then re-sync.

Over time, my desktop and notebook computer bookmarks have diverged. I would like to be able to merge them so they are both the same again, choosing entries from each machine as appropriate. With IE I used to use a directory/file comparison tool, but I undertand FF uses a database and haven't found out how to do it.

I would like to know how my ratings that i give a song on my iPhone will appear on my iTunes it used to do this automatically but now nothing, i usually give a song id like to take out of my library one star however its not appearing in my iTunes.

My itunes used to sync the ratings id give the songs on my ipod but now it doesnt sync any ratings when i open them up in itunes with my iphone, i was just wondering if theres a solution to this appart from creating different playlists for each ratings of stars i give the songs , i just want it back to the way it used to be.

I had a folder that was a part of firefox in the book marks are called Recently Bookmarked. It has now disappeared and i would like to know how to get it back?

This folder was not one I created, but it appeared to be a part of the bookmark area. It save all recently saved book marks and was called "Recently Bookmarked". I used this feature last night and this morning when I went to use fire fox, it is gone.
I tried restarting Firefox and it still has not fixed the problem. My question is, How do I get this feature back or how do I create a folder where everything I book mark goes into the folder until I can sort the book marks into the proper folders? thank you for your help
