I lost my PAID Application because of the Auto Sync.
Well, I just formatted my PC and when I conectted my iPod Touch the Auto Sync starts automatically on iTunes and erase all my paid and free app. Can I get them again without pay? 'cause I paid more than 50 dollars on those applications and iTunes just erased them. I want my app back.

And it didn't occur to you to backup your iTunes Library and $50+ worth of iTunes purchases before doing so?

You forgot the magic word - "please".
Just re-download them using the same iTunes account you purchased them from - you won't be charged again.

That is normal for purchasing apps for a device not previously associated with your Apple ID.

I downloaded an album last night from iTunes. This morning i noticed it was in my music on my iPhone. I have the auto Sync turned off. How did this happen?

Help!!! Got 3G S - Lost of paid applications plus freezing issue!
Got my iPhone 3G S earlier today. Hooked it up to activated! So far all is good!
The bad news is that applications that i paid for did not transfer over on my new iPhone3G S !!!! So was the case with applications the were free. The free ones are not an issue - it's the ones that I paid for that are the issue!! To download them again I need to again pay for them!!!!! Ahhh! Why?
Also my iPhone 3G S has a tendency to freeze!!! Yes, I powered off / on... it helped but the problem resurface!!
HelP! What can i do???Well following the suggestion mention here, i re-connected my "old"iPhone - syncing it with the hope that whatever applications I already had would get transferred to "backup". Blah-blah once my "old" iphone finished I than connected my "new"iPhone 3G S... blah-blah, checked application tab to make sure I indeed had my applications-which I indeed had. Long story short, I now have all of my applications transferred into my "New"iPhone!
THe bottom line is making sure you backup your files, as mention earlier. -
Whats the difference between the iOS Paid Applications contract and the iAd Network Contract
I'm a developer for iOS Apps and I am interested in setting up the iAd Network on my apps. I went into itunes connect to look at the required contracts and saw that there is a contract required for Canadian Developers (i'm in Canada). I looked at the contract and it seems to be the same as the contract required to sell iOS Paid Applications. My question is, is there any difference between the two Canadian contracts and do I need to fill the iAd Network Canadian Contract out again even though one has already been done.

Eliminating the auto sync action when adding new entry in calendar on my BB Curve 8330
Hi everyone,
I am using my Yahoo e-mail as my primary profile for my Calendar (CICAL) and Messaging (CMIME) as my Default Services. I do a daily sync with my Outlook 2003 calendar, notes, contacts, etc, via USB but I do not sync my BB calendar with my Yahoo calendar (I don't even use Yahoo calendar for that matter). Every time I edit an entry on my BB calendar I see the arrows on the top right corner flashing. I guess this means my Curve is trying to sync the changes to some other application, perhaps Yahoo calendar. How do I turn this feature off? I would like to minimize the amount of wireless transmission from my BB and I feel that this is an unnecessary activity since I'm not wirelessly syncing my calendar to anything else.

Go to Solution.Right I agree. The BlackBerry will alays display those arrows when it's sending/receiving data. The only way it won't is if you turn the radio off.

Windows 7 Disatster - lost iTunes and Applications
Evening all,
I have done something really stupid. I installed Windows 7 onto our desktop computer and of course it wiped everything clean. Good news, I did back up my music, photos, and other files onto an external drive. Bad news, lost the library information and I have been trying to get other information back slowly. With help from discussion members my library has been salvaged. Thanks
Now my new question,
When Synching my iPod touch, I have the manual setting on because I don't want iTunes to completely re-write my touch (that is the prompt that I get when I click the manual option off, so I cancel). According to my new desktop iTunes, I have 44 paid applications, but there are currently 80 paid applications on my iPod touch (some of them were major purchases).
I would like to somehow get the applications onto my computer since several applications have personal information that I don't want to lose (exercise routines, calories for meals, banking information, high scores, etc...).
When I go to Transfer my purchases in iTunes from the Ipod or iTunes, the sync starts to save/sync but quits after about 8 second. Nothing transfers. Am I missing a step or a setting?
Failing this, how do I get my paid applications back from the iTunes store, if I let iTunes completely re-write my Ipod touch. I have found that the instructions need to be very simple because I am the type of person who wipes their computer clean with an OS install.

PS. I also can't get my touch to show up as an addtional hard drive on my computer. Is this a concern?Unlike music and movies applications can be re-downloaded so you won't have to pay twice.

Lost user account applications/settings
A friend partitioned the hard drive and create 2 separate user accounts. An application was not working on my account (Account 1) and I was also not able to access pictures and music on the second user account (Account 2). I logged into the second user account (Account 2) and dragged and dropped the entired user into the shared folder, figuring this would give my user account access (Account 1) to everything. Instead now I have lost all settings, applications, etc. on the second user account (Account 2). What have I done? How can I fix it?
G4 Power Book 17" Mac OS X (10.4)Log back into the second user account and open the Users folder. From here, rename the folder with the house icon to something else. Next, open the Shared folder and hold down the Option key while dragging your old folder back to the top level of the Users folder. Select the copy you left in the Shared folder and choose Get Info from the File menu. Under Ownership & Permissions, set all three access settings to Read & Write.

Have new nano shuffle for couch to 5K. Weeks 1 and 2 worked well but week although can be seen downloaded on MY COMPUTER doesn't play and message is 'connect to itunes to sync music' Tried to sync other podcasts but message is cannot be synced because all the pocastsfor syncing no longer exists. Any solutions please before I chuck it in the bin. Urrggghhh!

Stop the auto backup - guide needed
I have the iphone 3g and itunes 7.7 and whenever i dock the phone it backs up. I know I can click the x but whether or not to back up should be an option and not automatic. If the phone was backed up 1 hour ago and i dock again - it backs up again. There has to be a way to change the frequency of the backups but I cannot find it. Can someone please advise?

The Backup Assistant application is useful for most, but I understand what you mean and am prepared to help you. It is actually not possible to turn off the auto-sync for Backup Assistant, but what you can do is change the settings so it backs up less frequently. The default setting is once a day. You are able to change that time frame. You would go to your Media Center, then to Backup Assistant, then Settings. You will then be able to change the sync settings for the Backup Assistant. When i want to download an app from the store fro my i pad to iphone or otherwise and make the automatic sync, the download do not satrs in the other device, i have all my icloud account well instalated in the devices and also the settings to do the auto sync. My devices are an iphone 5 and i pad 2 with wi fi but with out 3g. Also all my mails and notes and contacts are well in the icloud and my music works well in the imatch, so i don't see where is the problem.
