I'm disgusted with Verizon right now and want out
I can't believe what Verizon has done to me over the last couple of months. It can't even be legal. I've had Verizon cell phones for 12 years.
A couple of months ago, I casually called out of curiosity to see how much it would cost to upgrade my phone. The guy I spoke to, "Kyle," told me if I were to upgrade my Omnia to an Omnia 2, it would cost $70 after an instant rebate and credit I had on my account for a 1 year extension. I was only casually interested, but he convinced me, and I verbally agreed to a 1 year extension, (My contract was up) for sixty nine dollars and change. I should have paid it then, but asked him to just bill my account. Everything was very very clear, and if it wasn't how he explained it to me, I certainly wouldn't have agreed to it.
My next bill, I got charged $289 for the phone. I couldn't believe it... I spent 3 hours (no exaggeration) talking to different customer service guys trying to get this fixed. They looked in the computer and said there were no notes about the conversation and all said "Sorry, nothing we can do." I asked to talk to supervisors, and they said they would call me back, and never did. Importantly, I was also promised an "instant rebate," and not only didn't get it, but didnt get a mail in either!!
I was back on the phone the next day, pleading my case to customer service again, for my entire lunch hour, and the best suggestion, at least from the ones that didn't put me on hold indefinitely, was that I could upgrade to the 2 year contract and they would credit my account $125. So, the verbal contract that I agreed to on the phone was enough to lock me in for a year, but the price they agreed to bill me was not legally binding apparently. I tried to tell them I never agreed to pay that price, and certainly wouldn't have!! Nobody cared. I told them I wanted out, and I wanted to send back the phone, which I didn't need, and had only casual interest in. I was ignored.
Stressed out of my mind, and only wanting what was clearly promised to me on the phone, or to simply nullify the contract, I called again that night, and a much friendlier cust service guy told me the same, that I had to upgrade to 2 years, and that they would send me a mail in rebate, and it would knock the price down. Defeated, I agreed. I recieved a rebate with an "Invalid purchase date" and am screwed out of that as well. Here I am with a phone I was ILLEGALLY baited into buying, never wanted for 2 years, and have no recourse whatsoever.
And of course, now the Droid X comes out... That would have been worth 2 years, but I'm screwed because of a lie, baited with a false price, which was a mistake on their part that I became responsible for against my will ,jerked around for many hours on the phone, and topped off with an invalid rebate. I am beyond disgusted.. Again, 12 years of patronage, and this is what I get..

Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. These are user-to-user support forums, so in almost all cases the only people who will reply to your posts are, like me, your fellow users.
As to whether you can work with Apple via email on this issue I can't say for sure, but you can contact them via this web page:

and see if they can help. It's mostly going to be an issue of you being able to prove to them that you are the account owner.

I currently have a basic phone but I would like to switch to a smart phone. I don't have an upgrade right now and none of the other phones on the plan have an upgrade either (4 phones in total, 2 smart phones and 2 basic). I upgrade to ios7 today and now when I try to speak out a messae in messages or use siri niether works siri says it cannot take request right now, and messages just clocks and never types out the message, what happened? Has anyone else had this issue today?
What you are experiencing is 100% related to Malware.

Hey there i downloaded apps using another apple id than the one am using right now and i need to update the apps they keep asking me for the old one that i dont have any more what to do please
Apps are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them.
Go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and re-set th password for the old one.
Then, log into the app store with it and update the apps purchased with that ID. -
On flight right now and laptops just died... Pls help
I am on a flight right now and was in the middle of watching a tv show in iTunes. Then all of a sudden it froze on me. I put the screen down and waited a few mins. Nothing happened. Then I restarted it by holding the power button down. As it started to restart the only screen that came up was the white screen with the apple logo on, then the logo flickered between that and a circle with a line through it. Pls help I have a long flight ahead of me!!
It looks to me like my HD has died.
Sounds like that's a good possibility. It may be a long flight.
One thing you might try while you're on the plane, just in case that's not it: try to start up in Single User Mode and run fsck:

I connected my external hard drive to my new imac to put all of the information from my macbook onto it. I have been working on the macbook now and want to reconnect the external hard drive so my imac is updated with the work. How is that done? or is it possible?
As I said, I don't use Time Machine, so it'd be best to wait for an "expert" answer, but, with my very limited knowledge, I'd say: probably not - so, for now, I'd suggest you read up on Time Machine:

I understand that iTunes 10.7 is available, but when I try to download, I still show 10.6. etc. Is this just a matter of the servers being overloaded with requests right now ? TIA
There are intermittent issues reported with iTunes reporting that the update is available, but ASU not showing it as an option to install. (Got that a bit with the last 10.6.x version, too.)
If that's what is going on, I'd try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

My regular computer (which has i-tunes installed on it) is broken right now and I plugged my ipod into my temporary Chromebook to charge it. Now the ipod is telling me to Eject before disconnecting and I don't know how.

If you are in a country where you can re-download music and it's still in the store then see if it appears under the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
