I'm having trouble doing really basic editing

Ok, first I don't have final cut pro on my laptop at the moment, there is no way I can obtain this in the next two hours. I'm trying to do a paid job with imovie.
This is what I'm trying to do:
I have two camera angles of the same show (video files are already uploaded into my 'events' on imovie). I want to switch between the two angles WHILE having a separate audio file synced perfectly with the video (for a music video). is there way to put one video file on top of another in the project view or no? any help is greatly greatly appreciated. As far as I could figure out, this operation is impossible in imovie.

In iMovie/Preferences, make sure Advanced Tools are enabled.
The action you are describing is called a Cutaway. Drag the second clip onto the first clip at the frame you want this to start. In the Popup, select "Cutaway".

Having trouble downloading the basic content

havingh trouble with downloading the basic content of main stage 3 at the end of the download it keeps saying something about Internet connection i tryed two different Internet places. my house and the apple stores as well did the same thing.

It definitely wasn't a space issue for me. I have about 600 gigs of free space. I finally got everything installed, it just took many, many tries. The good thing is that whatever was downloaded appeared to stay downloaded. I didn't have to start from scratch every time.
But now I'm having other issues. After playing for a few minutes, I get distortion, even in clean settings, along with intermmitent popping and some of the accompanying CPU spikes I've seen referenced in other places on these forums.
I'm hoping the noise issues are related to my troublesome US-800 and that when Santa brings my MOTU Audio Express, all will be better.

Having trouble making background image editable in template

Hello this is my first time so here goes...
I would like to make a template from a page I have created,
the trouble is the background image is url background image placed
in css with text over the image, the problem I have is on further
pages I would like to keep same divs
but would like the freedom to change text and bground image.
I have tried to make text an editable region which works and
bground image make attribute editable but I do not really
understand how this works any ideas would be much appreciated here

Having trouble getting multi camera edit to work in cs5

I have been follow Premiere pro cs5 classroom in a book trying to get a mutlicam to work. I nest the clips and never get the multi camera screen it shows the multi cam is enabled but only has one camera checked. I have tried highlight all or only one or none before nesting still no edit screen. What am I doing wrong? any ideas

I am having trouble doing a calculation in a form

I have created a form in Acrobat X (standard) which has four columns. First column is to select a quantity (ie select either 1,2,3,4) from a drop down box; second column to be selected from a dropdown box (ie 10,11 - this represents weeks required); third column is the price of the item so just a text field; and, the fourth column is the total column where I am doing the calculation. It does not appear to be calculating the amounts in the dropdown boxes that have been selected when I preview this. Could someone please help me to get my total column to calculate?

Column 4 contains the calculations, and also the total due, so I have used the simplified field notation and used the name of the field in column one * name of field in column 2 * amount of the field text in column 3 to give a total amount in colum 4.
This worked when all the columns were just field text, but now I have changed columns 1 and 2 to dropdown boxes..

I keep trying to OCR a 32,000 pg PDF but after like an hour or so it freezes and restarts my comp. it is a brand new computer and it has a bit of high capacity. What is the maximum size PDF that I can OCR?

Ok, so last time I asked about uploading my iweb to a web site that I own and it was answered with a video that a teacher made for other teachers at her school. Well I finally tried it out and umm kinda didnt work out for me. So this is what I did.
Made my web page, publish to a folder, typed the url I want it to got to in the url line, went to my FTP program (its yummy ftp, not sure if thats the problem) and grabbed both files and uploaded them to my folder on the ftp site, went to my url www.uopaintball.com, nothing Any ideas ?????

It is better to only copy files with important data to that new profile and not the full profile folder to the new computer

Having trouble setting up Distributed Processing / Qmaster

Hey Guys,
I was able to (at one point) use Compressor 3 via Final Cut Pro Studio with Qadministrator to allow Distributed processing either via managed clusters or QuickCluster - both worked on both macs (a 2007 2.6Ghz Core 2 Duo iMac and a 2009 3.06Ghz Core 2 Duo iMac).
I just upgraded to Final Cut Pro X and Compressor 4. As far as I can tell, the Qmaster settings now reside in the Compressor application itself, so I tried setting it up as best as I could using both the QuickCluster and managed cluster options (very similar to when using the older Qmaster) but no dice. I can see my controller's cluster from the secondary iMac, but it always displays submissions as "Not Available" and it does not help with processing. I've tried everything I can think of - I tried using FCS Remover for the older version of Final Cut, I tried looking around via terminal to see if there are any residual files & settings prior to the FCPX install, I've tried following as many instructions as I could find (including apple's official documentation on Compressor 4 on setting up a cluster) but NOTHING seems to work. I'm at a loss!!
Unfortunately, any documentation or refrences to issues with Qmaster / Distributed processing is related to older versions of Compressor and whatnot.
Can anyone help or have any suggestions? I have no idea how to get this working and I am having trouble finding anything useful online during my research
Perhaps someone is familiar and can help me set it up correctly? I'm verrrry new to Final Cut in general, so I appologize in advance if i'm a bit slow but i'll try to keep up!

In spite of all Apple's hype I'm not sure distributed processing is actually working.
First I ran in to the problem with permisions on the /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support folder. There's some info about that in this discussion. You'll need to fix it on each computer you're trying to use as a node.

Then I finally found some decent documentation on Compressor 4 here

However no matter what I tried I could not get the compression to spread across more than one computer. I tried managed clusters, quick clusters, and even "this computer plus". I was testing on a mac pro, a mac mini, and a macbook air. I could disable the mac pro and the processing would move to the mini, disable the mini and it would move the the macbook air. No matter what I do though it won't run on multiple machines.
I'm also having trouble doing any kind of compositing in FCPX and getting it to compress properly. I see this error

The master password protects saved passwords in Thunderbird and has nothing to do with connecting to your providers server. You need to work with your email provider if you have forgotten your email password. Go to their email help site and look for a link to reset your password.
