I'm looking for a bluetooth remote for iPad's iBooks app

I'm looking for a bluetooth remote that will allow me to flip the pages of a book in the iBooks app.
Does anybody know of such a thing? I have found remotes for the iPad, but they seem obscure as to what it can accomplish. I need something more than something that plays iTunes remotely. I have a specific need.
Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Yubz Magnum really has great sound. They come in four colors too.

  • Looking for a bluetooth headphone for my Macbook Air and Ipad Mini, I am not looking for a headphone that needs a transmitter to be connected to the source rather a headphone that can be connected directly via bluetooth to the source device

I am desperately looking for a bluetooth headphone that would be compatible to my Macbook air and Ipad mini both. I am more of looking for a headphone that does not need a transmitter device to be connected to the source (in this case Macbook Air and Ipad Mini) and headphone acting as a receiver, rather need a headphone that would be connected directly via bluetooth to the source, it would be great if multiple apple devices be connected simultaneously. Please suggest some good headphones.

Hey sorry for the late reply, I was busy to figure out alternatives as harman kardon was a difficult affair to find and acquire, but the good news is I managed to get hold of alternative.
Sony I assume recently launched a Bluetooth headphone DR-BTN200 which is compatible to my MacBook Air , iPad mini and android phone galaxy s2 with ease, the sound quality is pretty good as compared to other brands of Bluetooth headphones I checked compatible or incompatible to apple devices alike, this is definitely what I was looking for, costed me 7990 INR, this is highly recommended for ppl who are confused, I carried my devices to the store and checked before I bought a pair and pretty much happy,
The best part of this is its battery backup, I have used this hours for 3-5 days but this has not drain even then, but I do keep this charging once in 2-3 days just to keep this ready otherwise it does not even ask for it neither the quality of sound drops after 2-3 days of use.
This is over the ear headphone which is very soft but it's get sweaty around the ear I guess that's bound to happen.
Do get back to me for any other details, would be glad to share with all :)

  • Looking for non-Bluetooth Headset for phone use only

    Hello,
Does anyone know of an after-market HEADSET for the iPhone with the following characteristics:
    a. headband fits over-the-head with a single ear piece and microphone
    b. connects with wire into the iPhone Headphone Jack. This is NOT bluetooth.
    c. to be used only for listening and talking on phone calls. Not intended for listening to iPod music.
Any information would be most appreciated.

  • Need suggestion for USB Bluetooth Adapter for HP Z230 Workstation

I've just purchased an HP Z230 Workstation, with an I7 processor.  I need to equip it with Bluetooth capability so that I can connect the computer to an old Palm Tungsten T2.
There are gobs of USB 4.0 Bluetooth adapters / dongles on the market, but reading buyer's comments, they all seem to have some type of problem with compatibility or installation issues on something.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a USB Bluetooth adapter that has worked well with the Z230?
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • How do I turn on SMB Sharing so I can access my Time Capsule remotely via iPad w/FileBrowser app?

I know I can share the time capsule, but I don't want to have to have my computer on, I just want to enable sharing and then access the files via File Browser on my iPad and Stream my movies and music stored at home.

Are you saying that your new Extreme no longer needs for you to enter the terminal script to enable TM backups to an AirDisk?
Yes, exactly that ... although since it is the Mac that runs Time Machine & uses its own system preferences, I don't think it is the new Extreme itself that makes the difference but instead some update to the OS (10.5.5, maybe?). As I understand it, so many users expected that in this respect an Extreme with a USB-connected drive would be the functional equivalent of a Time Capsule that Apple updated the code to support it, even without setting a hidden system preference for Time Machine to show (& use) "unsupported" drives.
IOW, I suspect the key is no longer necessary for anyone running up-to-date system software. If you want to check this, you can use the "defaults" terminal command to do so. For background info, see the Mac OS X Manual Page For defaults(1) for its purpose & options, but briefly its three major modes are "read," "write" & "delete." Using the "read" option as I did in my earlier post should tell you if the preference key/value pair exists & if so, how it is set. If you replace "read" in that command with "delete" it will delete the 'show unsupported' key:
    <pre> defaults delete com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes</pre>
You can also leave the key in place but set it to ignore the volumes:
    <pre> defaults write com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 0</pre>
All I know for sure is that I never entered any 'defaults write' command for this on either of my Macs that run Leopard, & both do show the volumes attached to the Extreme in the Time Machine "Choose Disk" system preference -- but only after the volumes are mounted on those Macs in the Finder.

  • Recommendations for a bluetooth mouse?

    Hello,
I've been looking for a Bluetooth mouse for a few weeks now to go along with my Macbook and after coming on here and reading some of the troubles that come along with them, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? I've never used an Apple mouse before, never really understood how the one click deal without the "right-click" worked, so i've been looking at other brands mostly. Would you even recommend the Bluetooth mice as opposed to a wireless one with a USB connector? Thanks!

I have the original wireless mouse (one "button") and a Logitech MX 1000 which is not Bluetooth but uses it's own wireless connection to a USB base station. The separate base station probably leaves this out of what you would be interested in for a laptop. However, my comments:
Both Mice work reliably and are accurate pointing devices. The original mouse uses the red laser. The Logitech mouse uses an infrared laser so its working is not obvious from the light of the mouse, although there is a combination activity/battery level LED that let's you know its working.
The Apple mouse is small, about the size of a bar of soap. The Logitech is a large lumpy affair that is molded to the shape of your right hand and fills it up. Some hate the small size of the Apple mouse. Some hate the large size of the Logitech mouse.
The apple mouse has one "button" (no discernable button, but you push on it and it clicks). The Logitech mouse has two buttons on top, a rocker button (3 switches) under the thumb, a scroll wheel, and a 4 way button run around the scroll where for a whopping 9 buttons plus wheel up/down/button of control.
The Apple mouse runs 2 to 3 months before needing to swap its 2 AA batteries. The Logitech mouse recharges itself in its cradle, which it needs about every 2 or 3 weeks depending on use.
My opinion is that mouse choices are very personal things. Some would pick solely on size/confort. Both are reliable. For gaming one-button mouse doesn't cut it, or leaves you at a severe disadvantage depending on the game. The infrared mice are more accurate based on product specs. The Apple mouse is an elegant lump of plastic sitting on your desk. The Logitech mouse is a big lump of Borg technology looking like a kid's toy sitting on your desk.
    Hope that helps.

  • How SUN Bluetooth Inplementation for Desktops programming?

    Hi everyone
I did read some things about JRS-82 that SUN watches, but it's true that api is only to J2ME?
I am looking for a Bluetooth implementation for Desktops, and i found Bluecove.
I would like to continue to code in "SUN Vision" and not to use thirds libraries for my project. It's Bluecove a library watched by Sun?
Can I use JRS-82 for desktops? It's easy to use JAVA COMM api to bluetooth app?
    What you tell me?
    Thanks very much.

We can start applications in a particular screen, since Snow Leopard, similar to what Linux has been able to do for some time; however, these screens are not really desktops, since we can't dedicate certain shortcuts/icons to only appear on certain screens.
Thanks, Eric.  Perhaps I wasn't clear in the above.  I realize we can start applications in certain desktops, but that is NOT what I'm after.
What I would like is the icons (i.e., shortcuts, directories, files) that appear on the desktop, to be different for each desktop.  Such that if I go to Desktop 2, I can place all my game icons/shortcuts there.  Then if I switch to Desktop 3, I might have all my Office programs there, but not my games.  Does that make sense?
Eventually I might also want my Dock to have different icons based on what desktop I'm using, but I figure that's even more difficult.

  • How to use Blackberry as a bluetooth remote?

Hi, I recently purchased a Blackberry Curve 8900. My previous phone, a Sony Ericsson w880i had the function to serve as a bluetooth remote for my Macbook. I used this along with the Apple wireless keyboard when my Macbook was connected to my TV and I wanted to close the lid. I was just curious if the Blackberry had the capability to do the same, it would be perfectly suited as it has the scroll ball.
Does anyone know if this is possible? And if so, how do I go about it?
    Thanks.

I was just curious if the Blackberry had the capability to do the same
If this doesn't work, then the answer is no:

    Thank you.

Have tried the following earphone without success, all purchase through Apple Store, guess will have to source somewhere else.

  • Is there a bluetooth adaptor for an old iPod classic (160 GB) that also works like a radio remote?

Is there a bluetooth adapter for an old iPod classic (160 GB) that also works like a radio remote?  I have a bluetooth headset and I want to listen to FM radio on my iPod.
Or is there a better way than to use an adapter in order to listen to  the radio on an iPod with a bluetooth headset?
    TIA!

Have you updated your iPod and iTunes sofware?
most cases, iTunes can play these high quality songs, which is meant for newer mobile devices like  iPhones, iPod Touch, nano and iPad, which the older iPod cant play, but only playable with iPod classic sofware version 2.0.4
most likely it is an incompatible song format, read this Apple support article.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1334?viewlocale=en_USet
If  your iPod software is version 1.1.2, then you have to use lower quality format.
Can you select the problematic song, and Advance -> create iPod version

  • Looking for a bluetooth device

I'm looking for a bluetooth device that will operate in a similar way to the headphones that come with the iPhone. I guess what it is is a stereo bluetooth headset that plays music but switches over to the phone when a call comes in. Most of what I've seen has either been one or the other, not both. I recently saw something called the JayBird that operates with all the iPods but I'm not sure if it would work with the iPhone. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Okay so do we know if any Bluetooth stereo headset works at all with an adapter? If so, does anyone have a product that they can recommend? Also, the function to switch between music and a call automatically is important.

  • Looking for installation manual for Airport / Bluetooth in Mac Mini (PPC)

    Hi,
Last year I purchased a Mac Mini as an additional Mac. At the time, Wireless, and bluetooth were not available as a complete package from resellers. I bought the Airport / Bluetooth kit for the Mac Mini and want to install it.
I have been searching for the Manual to download. Can anyone help me.
BTW, I have a technical background, and have designed/built logic and RF electronics. But I want a guide, so as I do not assume.
    Thank you,

Welcome to the Apple discussion forums.
Video showing how to take the mini apart can be found at http://eshop.macsales.com/tech_center/index.cfm?page=Video/directory.html Note installation of the wireless/bluetooth isn't addressed, but getting into the box is shown.
A memory replacement that does show the airport/bluetooth cards is at http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/82.13.0.html
