I"m not able to scan a single negative with my CanoScan 5600F scanner that I just bought.
I'm trying to scan an old black and white negative. Unfortunately, it is not in a strip of six as seems to be indicated in the manual, although it doesn't say specifically it HAS to be a strip of six.
I opened MP Navigator Ex. Following are the settings I used:
Film
Film type: Black and white negative film
Resolution 4800 dpi. I also used 1200 dpi
I put the negative on the far end of the film holder.
I clicked on scan and got the following message at both resolutions:
Cannot scan for these reasons:
-The original may not be set correctly
-The Protective Sheet may be put in place
-The lamp may not be warming up
(it needs a few minutes for adjusting lamp on low temperature)
Scanner driver will be closed
Code: 2,178,0
I've scanned negatives with another scanner some years ago and never had this trouble. Any suggestions?

The same problem occurred on my iPad. Everything has current updates. Created new document the previous day and now unable to open. Hope there is a immediate solution. The reason I don't like software changes is the priority for reliable software nearly 99.99% of the time. Who knew? The reason I chose this software because hoping it also had the 99.99% reliability.

Not able to scan on windows 8 x64 with acrobat 10.1.4
I am not able to scan on windows 8 pro x64 rtm (from MSDN) with acrobat 10.1.4.
My combined printer/scanner model is HP Laserjet Pro 400 color MFP M475dw.
My scanner driver "WIA-HP LJ300-400 M375-M475 scan" works fine in Windows Paint, but when trying to scan with Acrobat it only shows a "Wrong parameter" message. When I try again or to close Acrobat a "operation not allowed because scanning is in progress" error message comes.
Is acrobat 10.1.4 ment to be windows 8 x64 compatible (like the sales rep told me)?
Is there a solution to this problem?As Acrobat X up through 10.1.4 wasn't intended for a Windows 8 "beta" a possible solution is to use what ever comes along that has been designed for Windows 8.
Keep in mind Acrobat 9.2 worked with Windows 7 until the first round of Win 7 updates. Full functionality came with Acrobat X (the 10.1 update provided PDFMaker compatiblility with some Office 2010 x64 applications).

i am using HP PSC 1410 all-in-one printer. i am able to print using the same but not able to scan. i have HP PHOTOSMART STUDIO software installed on my Mac. i also gave a call to HP service centre but even they could not help me out!
when i click on application>image capture, it says no image capture device is connected. but when i go to system preferences>print and fax, it shows my printer!!
can anyone help me out??Hi, I had a similar problem and literally tried everything to fix it. The solution for me was using an external USB hub and not connecting direct to my computer. Not sure why. Hope it works for you.

I subscribed to iTunes iMatch and when I attempted to add my computer and upload my songs it instantly crashed iTunes. This has occured every time. I am perfectly pleased with the way things were and just wanted to try iMatch... now I just want to know how to get a refund from apple since I was not able to upload a single song.

Can I have in one iphone 5 music from more than one itunes accounts? My daughter and I have our music in the same pc. She and I have iTunes accounts. I have not been able to load in my ophone with my itunes acct music that she purchased in her account. I have not been able to do this. Thanks
iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

On MIGO, you need to change the default value mvmt type value to 103 before you enter the PO number to be able to do 103.
Once this defualt value is set, you can enter the PO and item number in the document number fields and proceed with 103.
But you cannot change the mvmt type for already entered items from 101-103 or vice versa.
I think the 101-103 and 103-101 mvmt type conversion message is standard error message -

well i have to be honest, but i don't know if it the vista you use has any significance for this. but you can try.
okay follow:
1: click "start" on the status line on the buttom of your screen.
2: then click on "all Programs" and find "Accessories" and find the "command prompt"
3: Right click with your mouse "command prompt" and click on "run as administrator"
(as you has click'd on "run as administrator", "command prompt" should appear.)
4: when it appears you need to type this "netsh windsock reset"
5: wait for your computer to registrer the command you gave it, and restart your computer.
then erverything should be pretty much as good or better then new. -
I have a apple ipod touch but recently I restored all the settings, as well as the applications. But now I am not able to add songs to it. There is blank screen that shows the symbol like to connect to itunes first. I'm not able to use that... Please help
The iPod's firmware is corrupt. You'll need to restore it again in iTunes. If necessary, place the iPod in recovery mode for iTunes to recognize the device. Use the instructions in this Apple support document to walk you through the process of placing the iPod Touch into recovery mode.

There is no other way to get this sorted than to re-install windows. It may be some corrupt windows file that causes this error.
TIP- If you do not want to erase all the data on your PC reinstall windows on another empty drive thus making your computer run on dual OS's. -
