I'm not allowed to pay my bill online because I'm a new customer

I switched my eight year old account from AT&T a few months ago, to Verizon. Very unhappy with the payment options. I got a call saying "Pay now or else" and I happily pressed "2" to "Make a payment now"* … after going through the system, my call was dropped. This happened again. Finally I came online and found a number to call and worked my way through the system only to be told "You cannot make payments online or automatically until you have been a customer for six months" … WHAT? I've been a customer of AT&T for EIGHT YEARS? You, Verizon, didn't make me from scratch - I brought my number over from an existing account! You have my name, address, existing phone number, social security number … what more do you need? BLOOD? It's outrageous that I was told "go to a local Verizon store to make a payment" … the nearest store if 15 miles away. So I had to drive 15 miles there, and 15 miles back home to make a payment -- to an account I chose to save money over AT&T. Well, there goes my savings, to gasoline and time!
This blows. Frankly, it blows. This is what is wrong with customer service, or lack thereof.
And when I got the store? No human needed: kiosks. Freaking kiosks! I'm outraged and frankly, when my contract is over, I'm switching back to AT&T or going to someone else. And I know that no one at Verizon cares about that -- all you phone companies are too large and really don't care about customers at all. That's why you have rules like this, which make our lives more difficult for no good reason.
* And I wouldn't even be getting these calls if I'd been allowed to sign up for autopay right away, which is how my AT&T account worked for EIGHT YEARS WITHOUT INCIDENT.

MillieM I've been a Customer with Verizon since 2003 and when they switch there payment system a Few years back to were you pay at the Kiosk at the C. Stores I wasn't in love with it either but it grew on me and learned to get along with it, going 15 miles these days to and from is kind of costly because of Gas but I guess it could be worse.. Ann154 had a good suggestion you might try that.. or call customer service and see if they'd assist in paying your bill through your checking account or use a credit card my mom & I have used both on occasion but mostly I use the Kiosk..

Had the same problem. Here's how I sorted it out, not including yelling at my PC or ranting in my own thread (that's optional): First you want to delete your saved payment option. If you try this and it does not delete, log out and back in. It should be gone. Now re-enter your payment option (credit card number or whatever you are using) and if it asks if you want to save the data for future use, make sure you give it a nickname that doesn't include any special characters. Hope this works for you!

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPad but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPad with it.

American express website does not allow me to pay my bill online

I am running firefox 3.5.13 on windows XP SP2. The previous release of Firefox worked fine. When I go to the american express web site and try to do the online bill paying routine it fails to work. It will show my account info as expected but when I hit the "Pay Bill" icon the next page that comes up is blank. It has "headers" or banners at the top and bottom from american express but nothing in between. At the bottom left of my display, the text reads "done" indicating the page had loaded apparently. I have disabled all plugins and extensions, cleared cookies and cache. What is wrong with this and how do I fix it? The page works as expected if I use IE but I do not care for IE.

There is an "idea exchange" on these forums, however it's not clear to me how much attention Verizon pays to it. You might want to post a helpful suggestion there.

Note that online bill pay does not always result in a paper check. For major payees like Verizon, most bill pay systems use an electronic check. Not only does this save the payee the cost of processing the check, it eliminates the paper processing and postage costs for the bank. In short, you're not costing Verizon much, if anything by using bank bill pay. In fact, you may even be saving them a little money as the fees on credit card transactions are probably higher than the cost of accepting electronic bill pay.

Will not allow me to change billing address

I have have tried to change my billing information but I keep getting this same responce.... "There was a problem saving. Please try again.
Address line 1, postal code, country code or Address line 1, city name, State Province, country code are required."
when I try to buy a song I get the initial "the billing information does not match my zip code information of my bank"
I checked my credit card and my bank, both have my latest address but for some reason Itunes does not see this or allow me to change it.
can anyone help me with how I can get my address changed
somehow I think I will have to call them to find out why it wont allow me.

Ugh, I am having the same error. I moved two months ago and have already updated the new address with my credit card.
I have tried updating my address in iTunes and on Apple.com. I get the same error. I have emailed iTunes support. I have called Apple customer service and I tried the online chat with customer service. No one can help and they all keep pointing the finger at someone else. I am getting the run around and it's driving me crazy.

Not allow to save the billing document in the back date if FI period closed

We have a requirment in which end user should not be able to create the billing document if the billing date lies in FI posting period which has been closed.
As of now the users are being able to create the billing documents even if the Billing date lies in the closed posting period but the sccounting document does not gets generated.
Now we want to block the billing document creation as well.
Please provide some pointers to the above scenaio. Thanks..

if not , here is the solution.
go to the program RV60AFZZ. This is the exit for billing.
In that there is a form called
FORM userexit_number_range USING us_range_intern.
in the form you have to write the code.
variables to pass for the function module.
DATA: lv_buper LIKE t009b-poper,
        lv_gjahr LIKE t009b-bdatj.
CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT'
      EXPORTING
        i_date               = syst-datum
        i_periv              = 'V3'
     IMPORTING
       e_buper              = lv_buper
       e_gjahr              = lv_gjahr
in lv_buper you will get the last posting period which is open ie the posting period month.
based on lv_buper you get , you can write your validations.
You have to remember that the posting period which u get is based on the fiscal year.

Yesterday I tried ordering from walmart.com and selected and edited my order with ease. When I clicked on "Check out now and Place Order" I was re=cycled back to the same order page and could not finish my order. I then tried with Safari and completed my order with no problems. This has happened on other websites occasionally, and I need to know if it is something in Firefox or my Add-ons that I need to adjust to keep this from happening. How come version 3.6.3 will not allow me to access my online banking while version 3.6.2 can when they are both exactly the same setup?

I have two computers. Both had Fire Fox 3.6.2. I then upgraded one to 3.6.3. I then tried to access my online banking and I was unable to with the Version 3.6.3. I then went to my other computer and I had no problems accessing it with the one that has 3.6.2. On the computer with 3.6.2 that was upgraded i did not change anything. It has the same add-on, settings, etc. This happens to some other sites as well. I have read and looked through all the help files and nothing helped. I've done everything except uninstall Fire Fox and reinstall 3.6.2 (if i can find it) to see if that will work. I really don't want to do that but if i must then i shall.

Since upgrading firefox my tiscali (through Talk talk) email account will not allow me access to my emails saying 'You have undefined new mails in your inbox' and will not open the page. it works on Internet Explorer.

It thinks there is no information there! If I revert to 3.6 how long will security be maintained. At the moment I am opening Mozilla for web browsing but IE for my email account. I am not very PC literate so need simple answers.

Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

I backed up my phone to set it to get the lastest iOS version and it won't allow me to restore my phone and it is stuck on recovery.
What is the exact wording of any error message you received?
i honestly dont know , but it included the numbers 1011 on it. So i redownloaded itunes to make sure it was updated and restarted my computer and it still won't remove itself from recovery mode.
