I'm not getting arabic characters in my form

We have windows 2000 and arabic charcters are not coming properly in the forms.

We too are using the same Character Set, but did not face any such problem. We have Win98 in the client side. I heard that there are some problems on Windows 2000.
Try the same on Win98.

Not getting the Exception_.toString in Forms

I hope someone can help me.
I have a java jar file. The jar file executes properly from the command prompt. The functionality in this java method is to call a HELLO WORLD service of a hosted webservice. So on its own the jar works fine, I know this because I get a successful response from the service.
Now I followed steps from this link
http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/forms/webservicefromforms/ws_10_1_3_from_forms.html to import this webservice jar into Forms and call the methods exposed from the jar.
Now I have two methods a simple multiply(a, b) which accepts two numbers and returns back the value. This works fine.
I have a second method callWebservice() where I call the webservice method and return a successful message.
When I call this method from Forms, I must be getting an error because it goes into the exception

2. WHEN ORA_JAVA.EXCEPTION_THROWN then
3. SHOW_MESSAGE('VAL_ALERT','444');
4. SHOW_MESSAGE('VAL_ALERT',Exception_.toString(ex));.................
I get the alert on line 3, but I don't get the next alert Exception_.toString().
Any help? please....

You did not mention what Forms version you are using so I will assume 10.1.2 based on your comments.
The server side jre/jdk has nothing to do with the client. Forms 10.1.2.3 is certified to use JRE 1.6.0 on the client side. You cannot update the server side jdk beyond 1.4.2 as it can damage the installation. As mentioned, the server side jdk has nothing to do with client side anyway.
The only restrictions to using JRE 1.6 on the client is that you are using 10.1.2.3 and IE7 or IE8. You could also use FF3. Refer to the certification matrix for Forms 10.1.2 to see the details:

Have you tried running the query in a SqlPlus session? The query you are providing doesn't seem to be correct. At least, you are missing a "WHERE" after the first HR_OPERATING_UNITS.

Can not get print preview of Adobe forms

Hi Gurus,
I am not able to see the print preview of adobe forms, and when i click on print preview, i get this error code..
Exception SYSTEM_ERROR
Message ID: FPRUNX Message number: 001
I don't see any logs from SM21, and so I don't think this some code error... I configured ADS as per the document, and all the configuration tests are passed except this print preview...
Any suggestions?

E61 mismapped, Arabic characters appearing in cert...

I have an unlocked Nokia e61. At some point, it must of had arabic language loaded. I have the phone language set to english. All is well, except for certain keys. When I press them I get either mismapped characters (e.g. + gets me =, the $ get me ')
On other keys - the lowest row - I start to get arabic characters. For example, @ and ? give me arabic (I don't even know how to get them on a PC keyboard).
While in a message, I have gone to Options > Writing Language. 3 languages appear: Arabic, English, and Francais. I select English, but it does not change anything.
How do I remove the arabic? How do I get the mismapped characters remapped?

Output not getting displayed in Forms

Hi,
I have created a sample VC application using BAPI_BANK_GETDETAIL BAPI.
I am passing bank key and bank Country as inputs to the Bapi using the input form and this bapi returns
Bank Details and Address Details. I am trying to display the address details into a form...
The data service is working fine.
But When I deploy, after entering the input fields and submitting the corresponding address details are not getting displyed in the output form.
I am not able to understand the problem with forms... If the output is in the form of a table it is working fine.. But for forms it is not working... I tried with so many other BAPIS..it is the same case for output forms...
Request you to kindly ket me of if you have any idea for the above mentioned problem.

I am not getting if I am missing anything here... Beacuse is it very straight forward, but still it is not working..

Adobe field values not getting displayed in UWL workitem

Hi,
We filled a ISR Adobe form and submitted it and generated the corresponding notification number.
On clickng the 'display and print form', the form is gettin displayed properly.
But on checking the form at the approvers UWL, the field values are not getting properly filled.
The form is getting properly displayed at R/3 through IQS22 and also the data values are properly attached to the notification number( checked through ISR_PROCESS_EVENT ).

First, have you set a breakpoint in this code and made sure that you are getting data into lt_image_bin? That would seem to be the first place to start.
Then the question is how are you trying to pass the image into the Adobe Form? Are you passing an XSTRING context attribute into the form interface? Have you marked that part of the interface as an image? Are you setting the MIME Type parameter of the form interface as well. You really haven't posted any details about what you are doing on the Adobe Form side.

Download list not getting updated

Whenever I download anything, it gets downloaded with bar properly showing up, but after the download it just gets wiped off from the list. The download list do not gets updated and the last entry is stuck on May 21st.
There are other problems as well. I do not get any suggestions while filling forms. Firefox do not suggests me passwords anymore, though I can see passwords through preferences -> security -> show passwords.

You need to add the development system in the Development system tab, the test system under the Quality Assurance and the production system under the Production system of your logical component which is currently being used by your maintenance cycle and once again generate the CTS project and accordingly adjust the tasklist manually.

Arabic characters are not getting displayed in oracle pdf output

I am trying to print arabic characters in report output but junk characters are getting displayed in output.
Using 10g report builder, added the arabic labels in report layout.
Followed below steps:
1. Set NLS_LANG=ARABIC_United Arab Emirates.AR8MSWIN1256
2.Set REPORTS_PATH to the system font directoy such as C:\SYSROOT\Fonts
3.transferred the arialbd.ttf to $ORACLE_HOME/guicommon/tk/admin/AFM
4.Open uifont.ali under$ORACLE_HOME/guicommon/tk/admin, set the font alias
entries at [PDF:Subset] section.
[PDF:Subset]
Arial...Bold.. = "arialbd.ttf"
5. open datap462.ppd under $ORACLE_HOME/guicommon/tk/admin/ppd, set the font information like

6.added following entries:

Data Integrator: Arabic characters are not correctly displayed

Hi,
I'm trying to load Arabic text via an UTF8 flat file into an Oracle database.
I've read several topics and set the correct code page settings (also during install) for the datastore and flat file.
Already in flat file preview (see attached screenshot), the wrong characters are displayed. The characters as they are displayed, are inserted in the database. So I think that if I get the flat file preview correctly, the text is inserted correctly into the database.
On the other hand: When i copy the contents of the flat file, via a bodi job, to another flat file, the target flat file does contain the correct characters (when opened in a utf8 file reader).
I tried several solutions and also went through the Code Page help topic on the BODI site.
Does anyone know a solution to my problem or know this is a BODI bug or something?
I'm using Designer version 11.5.3.9 (I went through fix notes of versions after 11.5.3.9, but saw nothing mentioned about my problem). The Oracle database does support arabic characters as I can insert them via e.g. SQL Developer.

I indeed saw a kind of this solution somewhere else. What I did not is restarting the computer, since it is a shared server. Maybe that was why it didn't solve my problem.
Before I restart an additional question: I need to convert some files with Turkish characters as well.
Have you got a value which I can put in NLS_LANG, which supports these characters and Arabic characters both at the same time?

Arabic characters not displaying in Forms

Problem :
I have a xml in the unix server machine and I try to read that xml file through a dba job which is using simple utl_file functionality.
To read the file and put in a table of column CLOB.
I'm checking it from front end Oracle 10g form 's text item , I'm getting junk characters like ???????
I tried to check whether the data stored in db is correct by running below program to generate message to the text file

May I assume since you're using ASP that you're on Windows? The only way I'm aware to be able to display Arabic characters on Windows would be to set your Windows language to Arabic. This will be somewhere in the Control Panel, but without knowing what version of Windows you're on, it's hard to be more specific.
In general, SQL*Plus is not a wonderful tool for viewing non-English data.

I have Oracle 8i ,I am able to insert and view arabic characters properly from asp and asp.net application but whenever i tried to run sql scripts to fetch arabic data it displays only reverse'?'sign in place of all characters .....
Is there any particular setting to be ..... If yes please also mention the steps.
