I'm restoring my iPhone right now, need help ASAP
So I've had a corrupt file that's been taking up 7GB in my 'other' stuff on my iPhone 5 so I'm finally restoring it right now, but I'm guessing the backup data with have saved whatever that corrupt file is in it.
So 3 questions: • If I don't want to backup now but for some reason decide I want to in a say a day or so what would I do?
• Can I restore my phone from my iCloud backup, if so how?
• After restoring my iPhone will it create new backup data that will wipe over the already existing data with the corrupt file in it or what?
Thanks for any help/advice, I'm in the middle of doing this so need help asap if anyone can help.
1. make a backup any time you want.
2. Yes, if you have a iCloud backup
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
3.Yes on computer it will replace the old backup. (I suggest you manually delete the backup first)
iTunes > Preferences... > Devices > select backup and click the Delete button.

IPhone wifi issues need HELP ASAP
Hi, my iPhone's wifi is super slow. I tried out the speed test app on both my iMac and iPhone and I got 10.18 Mbps download and 3.08 Mbps upload; on my iPhone I got 0.98 Mbps download and 0.15 Mbps upload. I tested them from the same spot and got these results using speediest.net . Why is it dramatically slower on my phone? Is there a way to make the wifi faster on my phone?? No i only have 1 but the speed on my mac is dramatically faster then my phone and i tested both on the same network and the same spot and iphone was super slow. Yes i already reset my network settings and still got under 1Mbps. Any other suggestions i should try?

my phone was not working only the restore button was available so i restored it and they told me i have to update my iphone 5s as well. i waited till the end the update software was downloaded successfully but then the iphone restarted by itself and now its not working. the iphone screen is shown the picture when you first time open the phone to connect it to an itunes. i connected it by it not working, i restart everything still not working:( i need help asap please. thankyou
it seems like apple's activation servers have gone down under the weight of the overwhelming amount of activation requests. you will be able to activate your phone once the servers are able to catch up with the activation requests.

Got this iphone from my Ghananian friend.He forgot the email and password used to active the 4s iphone currently running on iOS 7.He did a restore using iTunes and now needs to be activated.Any idea?
The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

iOS 7 has an antitheft feature. A stolen phone can NEVER be used again, except by the original owner or with the authorization of the original owner. If you bought a stolen phone that was your mistake; get your money back. While it's possible that the seller "forgot" their password, that is an easily corrected problem. In most countries knowingly possessing stolen property is a crime. Even if you don't know it is stolen, it can be taken from you and returned to the rightful owner.
If it really wasn't stolen, and it was an honest mistake on the part of the seller, the seller can easily correct the mistake and authorize your activation of the phone. -
Pls i tried to update my iphone, but the itones can restore my iphone and now its not coming up again, it can restore and its just displaying itunes logo and USB cable, pls i need your assistance and advice.

The iTunes logo on the phone means that it is in what's called recovery mode. Take a look at this article to find out more about recovery mode, and how to fix it:

If you forgot your own Apple ID, click here and use Apple's iForgot service, or contact their Account Security team.
If you're being asked for someone else's Apple ID, either the device's original owner needs to contact Apple, or the person who set the lock needs to remove it.

If you want to solve your problems, unjailbreak. And don't do it again, because jailbreaking causes problems as you read about in that article. You can try Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Restart the device.
Restore as New.
Might also be a good idea to contact the carrier just to verify there are no account issues. -
i had recently followed orders to restore my iPhone 3gs (iOS 6.1) from a question on apple support. However it was working fine before that, it's just that my phone didn't have signal. So it said to restore my iPhone and now it says that the Activation server is temporarily unavailable and when i plugged it into my mac, it said that i ddn't have a sim card installed. What can I do to fix this besides bring it to the store? it also bugs me because this answer was supposed to work but it just messed my phone up even more.
