I'm running FF 3.6.17 and when I try to log into my Blackboard page, I get an error message, "no user is currently logged in." I have noticed that some have had compatibility problems with earlier versions of FF and Blackboard, but what gives?
This recently upgraded version of Blackboard is also giving me problems with IE, and even Google Chrome. Regardless of which Windows OS I try. On these others, however, I can log in, I just can't edit.
Blackboard tech support has been blundering with this issue for two and half weeks now. But to no avail. So, I'm wondering if going back to an earlier version of FF would help.

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard version in Windows 8.1 and when I try to create a .pdf file, I receive the following error message "Acrobat could not open "file name.log" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged. You probably have run out of space, I would delete (or move to an external drive) things that aren't being used as much.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with updating iTunes. You may want try downloading the latest iTunes update directly from the Apple site. When you are installing it, be sure you are logged in as an administrator:

After I turn on my browser, I can use the buttons and change the url for about 10 seconds. Then, the browser freezes for 10 seconds and I cannot cahnge the url or save bookmarks. It is periodic about every ten seconds.

When I log in to my email account, I get the message "You have undefined emails " and I can't login to my inbox. This didn't happen until I installed Firefox 4.
I have the same problem as luiszamarreno. I tried using the following to update:
sudo apt-get --purge remove adobe-flashplugin flashplugin-nonfree; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove; sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove; sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
Now I have the "flashplugin-nonfree" v. 10.01.218+really9.0.283.0ubuntu1 and it still doesn't work for the Facebook plugin. I get the notice it has crashed and needs to be updated. I also get a notice to update on the plugins page under tools --> addons. When I try that, it goes to the Adobe Web site, which I have seen on Ubuntu support sites that I do not want to upgrade from there.
Does anybody have an answer to this? -

ThanksI have exactly the same problem. I also have the same problem on other web sites, for example when opening a few of the description pages on e-Bay. It appears to be inconsistent as if there is some sort of timing issue as on a few odd occasions I have managed to open Yahoo.
This started about 3 weeks ago when I was running 3.6.21 and the problem persists after I updated to 3.6.22.
I am concerned at the lack of response from Mozilla/Firefox as this seems to be a well established problem with several hundred problems reported - but no solution.
Perhaps the easiest solution is for the users to turn our backs on Firefox and use Opera or Google Chrome instead. -
