I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 - when I run the creative cloud installer does not work

I can download and run the installer, but it gets to the end and then just closes and nothing happens.
Is there a way to fix this so that I can install & run CC on my computer?

    I received no error message. The application was just trying to find applications unsuccessfully.
    I am using MAC OS 10.10.1
    I tried to uninstall the application  but it seems that a kind of deamon is still installed thus providing me to reinstall properly. Do you know where are the elements to remove in order to get my machine just like before ?
    Otherwise I would have to reinstall everything and this would be a pain.

    Dave: I did the Microsoft Update two days before this happened, and rebooted as required.  I just created a new restore point and lauched Creative Cloud.  Now I get the famous white screen:
    It just sits and spins (been 10 minutes now). 
    Fortunately, I saved away this command (which I've had to use 4 or 5 times already):
    del %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\opm.db
    Unfortunately now, I get this (even after closing the above window):
    The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
    So I killed everything that said "Adobe" in the task manager and this time, the command succeeded.
    Fortunately, the current apps seem to still work.  I can't seem to find the "Creative Cloud" app in the applications on my system, but I launched Photoshop CC, told it to look for updates, and got a list of the 5 prgorams that need updates in the Adobe Application manager:
    I will proceed with the updates, holding my breath.

    Just re-installed a fresh copy of CS6 Photoshop on my Yosemite Mac Book Pro and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and therefore cannot verify my copy.  What should I do?
    I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager may be damaged and that I should install a new version of AAM.  But after downloading a fresh copy of AAM and doing the install, the program (AAM) still will not install.  It is like an infinite loop!
    Please, someone help!

    I'm sorry but I am not on Creative Cloud.  I'm still on CS6 and it was the Adobe Application Manager that wasn't working and I could not install the update to this application.  My AAM version is:  8.0.0160
    The link you provided was the update that I wanted to install but it does not work.  A window shows up during that install that says:
    We've encountered the following issues.
    Installer failed to initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
    and then the link to the Adobe Support Advisor which leads to a "Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" page.

    I have the same problem, they never told me that, just that the newest version of Java "locks" up streaming quotes.

    This can happen when the video player (Flash plugin) has the focus.
    In that case the plugin consumes all the key presses.
    You will have to click with the mouse elsewhere on the page or in the user interface to make keyboard shortcuts work.

  • Having issues running the creative cloud installer.

    I have downloaded the installer for the creative cloud. When I try to open the program the following message appears:
    I am running Windows 8.1 and I have already tried to download it, used the adobe creative cloud clean up tool, and cannot find anything that is running. I have also tried to find any other file that I could uninstall and could not find anything in my Programs list.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    restart your computer and before doing anything else check task manager for adobe programs running and shut them down.  then install.

  • I am trying to download yosemite and each time I touch the download button it does not work.  How do I continue?

    I currently have os 10.6.8 and have attempted to download Yosemite.  The first time i went to the Apple Store and attempted the download, it began to download, but I was not sure it was working and stopped the download.  When I went back to attempt the download, I would get the download button, but it would not start the download when I struck the download key.  I have tried at least 10 times with no results.  I have a macbook pro after 2007.

    The requirments say:
    Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, and iPad Wi-Fi + 4G.Requires iOS 5.0 or later.
    No mention of iPod touch

  • How can I stop the fan from running continuously on my iMac?  I have tried resetting the SMC and this did not work.

    I have a 27 in. iMac OS X, Version 10.7.5, Intel Core i5 and have a problem with the very loud and annoying fan running continuously.  The fan starts up immediately upon powering up and stays on all the time.  I have researched this on the internet and have tried resetting the SMC unsuccessfully.  Should I try fan control software?

    To reset the SMC means to reset the power management settings for your Mac. To do this, follow these simple steps.
    1) Shutdown your Mac by going to the Apple Logo in the upper left hand corner of the screen and selecting "Shut Down" from the drop down menu.
    2) Turn your machine back on while continuing to hold down the power button.
    3) After the initial boot chime, your power indicator light should flash three times.
    4) Your screen will remain black and you will hear the boot chime again. At this point, you may release the power button and allow your Mac to boot up normally. 
    All the best with getting your Mac Mini to run smoothly.

  • Firefox does not start in Windows Vista. It can be seen in the task manager that the process is running. But nothing happens. After deleting the process it still does not work.

    Are there any issues with Firefox 10 and Vista? IE works.

  • Stopping a running application by using the Lomboz Plug-in does not work

    I am working with BeaWebLogic Server 8.1 and Eclipse 3.0.1 plus Lomboz 3.0.1.
    Problem: The deployment of web applications using the Lomboz plugin works fine but the undeployment fails.
    Undeployment means stopping an aplication. The undeploy command of Lomboz has no effect on the Bea Server. That means the application is still running.
    What is the problem? Should I add something to the build.xml or undeploy.xml ?

  • Although I've updated Firefox to 6.0 it is not recognized by any other website as that. It is recognized as an old version, 3.5. The 6.0 installation does not show a failure. Please help me work through this. I'm running Windows XP

    I am unable to use Google+ or many of my games as they say that I need to update Firefox. I doggedly have done so many times, to 6.0, yet I still cannot access Google+ or some sites as they say I'm using an old version of FF. Something is going wrong with the installation, even though I get no error messages.

    Well, it says I already have the most recent version. However Google Plus still says my version is out of date.
    A friend suggested I back up my bookmarks, then try uninstalling & reinstalling Firefox the traditional way, and rebooting my system afterwards.
    I'm going to try that to see if there is some kind of other issue going on between Google Plus and all of the websites that say my browser is out of date (ie. version 3.5) when it is not.

    I just adquired a license to use Photoshop & Lightroom CC.
    Unfortunatley, when I start the CREATIVE CLOUD INSTALLER, the installation bar reach maybe 70% and then everything desappear and nothing results installed on my iMac
    I checked DESKTOP and APPLICATIONS directory... but, no Adobe CC there:(

    Yes, as Shootistbond007 said, this is a user's forum. Adobe staff does come on here to help out once in a while, but for the most part it's just us users.
    Where is says "member" on my icon it will have an orange box that says "staff." There is also the MVP badge for "Most Valuable Participants" which is orange too.
