Worked fine, until the next update. Is there a glitch in the system? Does someone know of some proprietory block (I think it is related to Quicktime)? Also, once I re-downloaded everything, cleaned everything up, and deleted duplicate files, I closed down my computer. When I re-started it, iTunes was "brand new" -- all of my music, organization, tagging, etc. was gone and had to start over. Idea?
Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

Have not heard of that but here is what I would do - test after each step to see if the problem is solved
1. Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
2. If that does not work - back up to iTunes and restore to factory settings
3. Check to see if the problem is resolved before restoring from backup -

I guess you could try but I don't believe Apple can help with activation lock issues. They may, however, be able to determine if the Apple ID belongs to one of you and reset the password for you if you can prove your identity.
You might want to try calling Apple by going to https://expresslane.apple.com; click 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID'. In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. Perhaps they can help determine if it's your ID and reset the password for you (and they probably have more expertise in doing this than the Apple store). -

then i uninstall - reinstall - shut down - system restore - do everything the tutorials told me ... turned out completely a wasted time BLUE SCREEN still poppin' whenever i open itunes store! dunno what to do. -

Username and password are not apparently an Apple Care issue they refer you to iTunes support (email) to resolve this issue with iTunes and Netflix account

When using Airplay mirroring between macbook pro and apple tv I cannot see video, only hear the audio. Worked fine before. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?
I have the exact same problem. The picture is very slow, incredibly pixelated... and renders my apple tv virtually useless until this problem gets resolved. I currently have an apple tv 3, ipad retina, iphone 4s, and a 2011 macbook air. I use the apple tv almost exclusively for mirrored content. And this is definitely causing quite a problem for me.
I had been able to use this for presentations as well- but until this problem gets resolved - I may have to look for a backup solution/product. And I imagine that I'm not alone in this... Please get this resolved quickly! -
Im still having problems een with the latest update 10.5.2 64 bit for windows 7 this is the message below. This is the same error messagege I get when trying to update from 10.5.1 I have uninstalled several times and nothing seems to cure it. Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

I purchased a new iphone 4 last week and it has been working fine until yesterday the screen was freezing. Today I have restored factory settings and restored settings from a back up from a previous iphone 3G. The restore has not fixed the freezing issue. Any thoughts?

Has anyone experienced the loss of audio when using Apple TV when it has been working fine?
I can't get any audio through my reciever when using Apple TV. It's been working fine until a week ago. I've check my reciever, unplug the TV, and Apple TV as described but nothing. I switch to my Direct TV input and I can get audio when not using ATV. I've tried most everything I've read on blogs but nothing. One of those "pull your hair out" issues. I have some information for you that can help you troubleshoot this issue:
If you can see video but can't hear sound
If Apple TV is connected to a receiver, make sure the receiver is turned on.
Make sure the input setting you've selected on your receiver matches the input you have your audio cables connected to. See the documentation that came with your receiver for more information.
Make sure the volume on your TV or receiver is turned up and isn't muted.
Check whether you can hear sound while playing video only. Also, check whether you can hear audio feedback while clicking through menu options.
If you're connected to the HDMI port on your TV and Apple TV, make sure your TV supports audio through its HDMI port. The HDMI ports on some older TVs support only video.
If you are using HDMI audio, try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable.
If you're connected to the HDMI port on your TV and Apple TV, make sure your TV is setup to receive audio from HDMI. For some TV's this is automatic, but for others there is a choice between digital and analog (for HDMI audio, choose digital). Read more about HDMI audio.
Try the other audio outputs on Apple TV to see if they work.
If possible, try using different audio cables.

I've upgraded to OS 10.8.2 and my Bowers and Wilkins MM-1 Speakers were working fine until today, and now they won't play any sound at all, even though iTunes shows the audio is playing. I've tried both the headphone jack and the USB port. Please help! I don't want to have to be stuck using my internal speakers!

Thanks. I haven't mixed down the audio or checked the number of tracks in Prefs. Good points.
As far as a mixdown goes, I'll definitely give it a try, though I wonder whether or not the tracks will be recognized during mix down recording - given that you can't hear either of those segments in playback. Just have to try.
Re the preferred number of allowed tracks - I'll go check as soon as I send this off, but I'm not sure that applies in this case, since the two Channels containing the segments that are pinked out are not in additional tracks. I should have mentioned that other audio clips and segments on the same Channels in the SAME tracks ARE heard in playback. As are two additional track in the 2nd Sequence. It's only when the two sequences are joined that the pink tinted segments can't be heard. Within the sequence the same audio cuts playback as they should. Thanks again &

iphone 4S - Windows Vista - 64 Bit (and photoshop elements 9.0) is not recognizing my iphone as a camera - therefore I cannot download pictures from my iphone. iTunes works fine with the iPhone, but I do not see it in "My Computer" when connected via USB. my itunes was working fine until i tried downloading the most current version of itunes, now when i try to get on my itunes library, it wont boot up and has error codes, error 7, and( windows error 126). it also says that MSVCR80.dll is missing from my computer,please re install itunes. but when I try to re install it it will not install on my computer.

hi my itunes crashes everytime i try to excess the itunes store,it seems to work fine until that point,ive uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and also tried it with my fire wall off but all to no avail. i am using a new computer which isnt authorized yet if that makes any difference. any help would be greatly appreciated
Windows 8 or Windows RT? iTunes won't run on Windows RT. It should run on Windows 8. Use the appropriate installer from an account with administrator privileges.

Reset the PRAM
Reinstall the operating system from the dvd (you will not loose your data) -
ITunes worked fine on my Windows 7 machine. Had to rebuild the machine but all the data remains. Downloaded a new version of iTunes and cannot figure out how to load all of my music currently on my hard drive. Tried moving "iTunes Library" file. Did not work. Never had trouble like this before.
