I'm trying to "add a device."

I'm not seeing any text on which to click in the sync window. What does it look like?

The way to add a device in the new Sync version that current Firefox releases use is simply to connect to the Sync account by using the same Firefox account on the other devices/computers.
You can currently no longer pair a device.

There free upgrade, is 36 dollars (they lie a lot lately)..(free upgrade fee???) then there's the required data plan for the free upgrade etc. do you want to use the phone for phone calls ?? there's a free fee for that too...
So this is how I'm here poking around.
Verizon I have a mobile hotspot.. it used at times in Monterey, CA . by Lori.
My company gave me a Verizon Smart phone (removed). this is primarily for work. there plan.
I've been told I can use it at will, but it's still not to me a personal line.
With at&t I have 3 lines shared minutes etc, and home internet though uverse (at&t)
So I have a mixed bag I'd like to clear up to one low easily managed service.
I'd rather not incur additional cost trying to switch out all the phones etc
Like to keep current phone numbers.
The home internet (uverse) double my rate last month (end of promo) to 42 a month. not happy about that and am canceling that asap and returning there modem. I don't need much more than reading e-mail and such for my desktop computer, and netbook I use at wifi when needed (free hotspots etc).
my wireless (cell phones) 3 lines 1400 minutes runs 130 a month. I'm not using that much anymore as the company phones picking up all the business calls now.. (they drop the cellular reimbursement money from my paycheck).
the 1400 plan I had unlimited email no data free friends family (a list) grandfathered.
One phone is a Pantech breeze III (p2030) (removed) (think it's locked)
#2 phone AT&T Z221 (removed) (think it's locked)
my phone #3 is a sony-ericsson C905 (unlocked) bit it's having problems (slider open disconnect calls sometimes and static. Ok using Bluetooth closed slider) (removed).
So let me know if you can come up with a way to save me time and of course money.
I personally think I could share data off my existing account for my desktop here, as I'm mainly interested in doing e-mail on my home computer.

Trying to add mindsensors device to palette

I'm trying to add new category to the function palette' and need to use "Tools->Advanced menu to do it. The problem is that the "tools" menu I get (Labview 2010 for education ) contains only few options and "Advanced" is not one of them. How can I get the full menu ? This is The Tools menu I get In previous versions There were much more itemsin this menu, including the "Advanced" option.

Found the answer in another question which was answered in the forum. The solution to the problem is to change the mode of labview from "labview for Education" to "Labview"

If you want to use the Edit Palette Set tool in LVLM, you will need to first switch into the normal LabVIEW mode. You can do this by going to Tools:Choose Environment, and selecting LabVIEW. This will give you the full set of LabVIEW menu options.
I tried it and it realy gave me the full list of items in the "Tools" menu' including the "Advanced" menu.

Cannot add another device as Account Owner

I am trying to add another device to add my boyfriend onto my plan. Whenever I try to do this, I get a screen telling me that it is not authorized because I am not an Account Manager. However, on my My Verizon page it says that I am an Account Owner, supposedly a higher designation than Account Manager. So why can I not add a device to my own plan?

Just for the asking Have you Called Customer service and talked to a Rep. you might give that a try Customer service opens at 7:30am unless those Hours have Changed have them look over your Account with you they may ask to check your Credit even if is in Good standing and once that is done see if the Rep will go to your My Verizon just to make sure nothing is hanging up..

Thanks but that doesn't give me the information I need. I am putting an email on my ipod for people to contact me for iMessage and FaceTime but when I put the email in, it gives me an error saying that the email cannot be veirified because it is already in use. My Apple ID can be varified, just not the email that they will contact me with.

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

Trying to sync 2nd computer, but "Add a device" seems to take me to directions, not to the screens where I enter data. Help?

My main computer is a MacBook, using OS X, and I've had Sync for some time. My office system is a PC, which also worked fine with Sync. IT installed a new PC and I'd like to have it Sync with my data, but when I click on "Add a device" I'm taken to a screen with directions (which in fact don't completely match the screens I pull up going through preferences), but not to anywhere that I actually can add data to link with the Sync files. I'm going in circles trying to do this -- very frustrating. It also appears that I need a password (I have the sync code), but I don't know what it is -- and I've been unable to recover it. Help!

If you are getting an 'device not accessible' error it is indeed because the ipad serials are not on your re-sellers portal.
I have today had the same issue on numerous ipads when trying to add them with serial numbers on the DEP portal.
Your apple re-seller will have to register the ipad serials on their side of the portal and you then should be able to add the ipads via the orders section of DEP.
I shall be testing this tomorrow so will post an update...:)

Trying to add a DAQ device to NI-DAQ without hardware

I am developing software for a DAQCard1200 on Windows 2000. I develop most of my software on a system without the actual hardware installed. Since the NI-DAQ dll will error on load under Microsoft C++ unless you have a device configued, I used to configure a device manualy on the development system under NI-DAQ.
I am trying to use the latest version of NI-DAQ (6.9). I cannot seem to add a DAQ device unless I actually have the hardware installed.
How can I work around this to add a device without the hardware or how can I get the dll to load without a device configured?

I am not sure how to add any DAQ devices to MAX. When I right click Devices & Interfaces, I only get a list of SCXI, PXI and VXI devices/chassis. Is there another way of adding devices or expanding the list?

CSM 4.1 Authorization error when trying to add a new device

                   Hi, i just finished installing a new CSM 4.1 and i set it up to use the local windows user accounts for its administration. So when i login to the CSM i use the same username/password as the one used to login to the underlying Windows OS.
                    When i am trying to add a new device in CSM i get an error saying that i do not have enough rights to do that. Any ideea why this happens?

You seem a little grumpy. Yes, it has acurred to me that no one knows the solution. And no, I have not called tech support yet as I have been distracted lately and spending an hour on the phone trouble shooting is an hour I could be studying. Its much easier to "bump" this thread and hope someone with a suggest will chime in.
Anyway, please dont just tell me to delete something without giving me an idea of what Im deleting. I have a feeling that this login.keychain deletion will cause me to loose the information already stored. Is this the truth?

Trying to add a Backup device to Webex servers on site

We have WebEx local servers (inside and outside) version 2.5.1.132.B-AE I am trying to add a backup for our meetings and even recordings.
We have Call Manager and Unity (CUCM) backups going to a network share using FTP. However with CUCM you can state a drive\folder to back up to.
There is no option in WebEx for this, it wants a URL instead.
Does anyone have an idea , how to back these servers up in my configuration?

Hi Mate - CWMS uses different storage method for backups than the CUCM/CUC etc. You need NFS storage for CWMS as thats the only supported storage method.

Before You Begin
Make sure that you configure your Unix access privileges so that your system can store user-generated content and system backups.
On Linux-based storage systems, this depends on the configuration of your read/write permissions for anonymous users for a specific directory to be used for your Network File System (NFS). (See Connect a Linux Client to the NFS Share.)
On Windows-based storage systems, this depends on the Network Access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users setting. In addition, you must provide the Everyone user group read and write permissions for the NFS. (See m_ConfiguringNFSShare.ditamap.)

If you have linux server just Google setting up NFS for linux. Once setup create the rights as mentioned above and configure the NFS mount in the CWMS and you should be good to go.

You'll have to log in to your iTunes account. On the Account Information page click on the 'Deauthorize All' button. You will have to re-authorize all the computers you presently want to associate with the iTunes account. (See screen shot below.)
In the future, to avoid having to deauthorize all and then re-authorize, select 'Deauthorize This Computer…' from the 'Store' menu on the computer you no longer want to use with the iTunes account.
