Thanks for the follow up.
From what you wrote, you have Premiere Elements 10. Is that on Windows 7 64 bit or other. For now I will assume Windows 7 64 bit. If version 10 is on Windows 7 or 8 64 bit it is a 64 bit application running in the 64 bit system which makes it possible for full use of the 64 bit resources. That is good news especially when you are trying to take a large project to completion.
You set up the project preset in the new project dialog to match the properties of your source media. That setting directs the program to establish the right space in the Edit Mode Monitor for editing purposes. That project preset also directs the program as to what disc menu set (s, w, or hd) will be available to you in the disc menu section. The project preset also has more subtle effects on the project settings.
What is you plan for exporting your Timeline, export to file saved to the computer hard drive or burn to disc DVD or Blu-ray? Keep in mind that the setting for the project preset do not prohibit variations in the export choice under most conditions. If you post a description of your source media and how you would like to export it, I will offer some very specific guidelines on that.
If you do go the purchased book route, please try for one which is specific to your version 10. There has been a marked change in interface starting with version 11. Often principles remain the same from version to version, but features do not. And, I always write "It is very frustrating to be armed with principles when you cannot find a feature."
I suggest that you start with the Premiere Elements 10 Help PDF and then decide what next.

Yes, apparently I was in Private Browsing mode. I guess FireFox came up in that mode when I started it for the first time. Changed to Remember History mode, Import was then usable and I was able to import my Internet Explorer favorites. Thanks TonyE...

Datastore Export "Advanced" Options Button grayed out

Hello,
We're trying to export a job from a Development repository to a QA repository using the DataServices Designer from BusinessObjects DataServices 4.2 SP1. When we get to the Datasotre Export Options screen, I need to get to the advanced options, but the "Advanced" button is grayed out. Is there some setting to make this button available? Or is there perhaps a permission that I can assign to make it available?
We're using MSSQL 2012 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.

Hi Mary Moon,
You can change the owner of the table or the connection properties of the datastore using advance button but I am not sure if this is really required to be enabled in case of SQL Server. Technical Manual does not say anything specific related to databases. I assume that since we are passing the connection details while exporting and the only thing might change is the Owner of a table which can be done manually as well.

If those boxes are grayed out then it's because FME didn't
recognize the codec used, try to convert the mpeg to an avi or mov.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

Note that the rescue email address is not on the "Name, ID and Email Address" page -- you need to click on "Password and Security" on the left side. Even after you do that, it may or may not be available. What is "Adobe XI" - Reader, or Acrobat?
But either way, 'Save as Adobe PDF' is a Word function, independent of what Adobe software you have installed.

Please note it did say at the store's discretion, but people have actually been able to return it to the on-line store. (I only saw a couple who tried.)
And given the outcry, I would think Apple might have other Apple stores join in. Just in case, though, if you can, you might bring it in today.
If it's an ARS, my guess is they can stick to their 14 day return. Apple cannot force them to do it. SO if it's not bought directly from Apple, and it's past the 14 day deal, I'd bring it in to the store today if you have one. When I gave people the cnet.com site, I gave it so people could read it and know only Apple had made the decision for Apple. And I suggested to some that an Apple reseller would probably stick with their own return policy.
Because Arnie had just bought his, he should be able to return it to Apple or an ARS because an ARS has to have some kind of full refund or at least return for credit within 7 or 14 days of purchase.

I think I figured out how to fix it-
I found that if I only delete a small amount at the beginning and at the end of the section that I want to remove - and then highlight that section - Then (and only then) does the "Delete and Move" function work to remove the unwanted section and automatically close the gap between the surrounding sections. I was trying to select a whole section and could only delete it - and then manually move it.
Problem solved.

Loop appears to be "broken" in QuickTime Player Pro and 10.7.4.
It's been fixed in 10.8 and also works in QuickTime 10, 10.1 and 10.2.
Use 10.1 on your machine if you need to loop your playback.

That refers to iMovie, not iPhoto, and photos in Events can certainly be shared to Email.
What email option have you selected? IPhoto? Or some other one?

If you mean iCloud is grayed out in settings, go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Accounts (near the bottom) and set this to Allow Changes.
