I'm trying to install on my Gateway Windows 8 but no screen appears nor can I find the disk icon. I disabled the anti virus and I have a dvd super multi driver. Help.

Hi, Are you able to browse the PSE 11 DVD on your Windows ?
If yes, then you can browse that and you will find Install executable file with which you can initiate the installer.

Trying to install Adobe Photoshop elements 8 (that I bought a while ago and never installed) on my MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo, OS 10.6.8.
When I insert the PS Elements Disk, a PSE page came up with Read me etc which I read. I clicked on the blue PSE folder and a window with Bootstrapper.dmg came up. I clicked on that and a window opened asking me to type in my administrator passsword to allow Setp to make changes, which I did, twice... and then nothing happened...
Is there something else I am suppose to do? OH, another mounted drive appeared in Finder with a long name... "EFBB...........". When I opened it, it had an assets folder and two .js files (whatever they are)...
What more do I have to do?

I think I figued it out... But why installations instructions didn't come up when I inserted the disk was very annoying. And because they didn't, Adobe should post th installations instructions somewhere on their support site. Not here now, which is also annoying.

As I said in your other thread, PSE 4 has not been compatible with OS X since around 10.4. It will not install in 10.8. PSE 6 is the oldest version you can use. PSE 4 is a PPC application and 10.8 requires intel software.

I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 from the Adobe Store and was sent the file to download. I was given the choice to download Akamai Download Manager or alternate download method. Which one should I choose? I have already been provided the serial number for the program..
Advice would be greatly appreciated..

There seem to be fewer problems without the download manager, but if you have a very slow internet connection it may work better with it.

I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on my new MacBook Air, but have no cd drive. Is there a way to download this without a cd drive?

Trials of almost all software are available for download from the manufacturer's website. That's one of the reasons that the MacBook Air has no DVD drive.
Invariably the website trials are more up to date than the physical disk so you often don't have to install updates after the initial install.
Visit the website and follow the links. Or just use Google to find it.

I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.
The first error message comes up saying "The installation process has encountered an error while installing Shared technologies. Please restart your system and try again."
I have tried restarting and still didn't work.
It prompts me to download Adobe support advisor which I did and it has an error message to download Adobe Applications manager.
The Adobe applications manager will also not install.
Please help me install my photoshop program.

I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on a Windows 7 Home Premium stysem and I'm getting an error everytime I click the "Enlgish" button. The error message reads: "Error opening installation file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable." This was a Christmas present... please help!

I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 to a second computer but it is telling me that it is already saved to a 2nd. This is incorrect, when i installed to the 1st computer i later had a technical failure and the computer needed to be shut down and then rebooted. I think when this happened the programme could have been lost and is now why it thinks its been used twice. Please can you advise me on what best action to take? As i need to use this programme on 2 different computers. Many thanks

You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues such as you describe.

I would like to say that your customer Service is the absolute worst I have ever spoken to... I am having trouble re-installing my photoshop elements 4.0 on my computer. I just used it yesterday and went to re-install it today because my computer had to be restored to factory settings. I waited 10 min and the phone hung up on me. I called back and waited 30 min and then hung up because it was taking so long. Then called back, complained to the first rep, he transferred me to another rep who transferred me and I waited 52 min for a CSR to tell me that I need to go to forums.com. This is terrible..what is there job if they are just referring people to a forum. I would love to download 12.0 at some point but I do not have the funds at this time and the 4.0 will get the job done, but it will not let me download. I need this asap for my job. I am wasting valuable time from my job and kids w/ computer problems.

Installing Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on multiple computers: invalid serial number

I need to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on my new computer in place of my old one. However, when trying to use the original installation disk, the serial number I enter comes up as 'invalid'. Is this because I've already used it once? If so, is there any way to still install Photoshop Elements 10 for the second time?

Problems installing Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 - Rollback action issue.

Im having problems installing Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.
The problem is right at the end of installation, it says status is registering and then immediately does an action rollback.
The message "The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again."
I have also created a new administrator account and after rebooting tried to install it but with the same result. It appears to get to the end of the program install but falls over just before the Organiser install. There are no error messages. AV and surplus programs have been stopped. Desktop clean up run. XP machine well within required spec.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. Antivirus and security software all turned off. I have tried all the solutions in the troubleshoot section but still having the same problem.
