Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Thank you for your query, I will do my best to help!
I grasp that you uninstalled the Intel graphic driver and the catalyst control. You reinstalled the Intel driver and now you can view and hear videos on the Internet but you are unable to set the resolution as high as previously.
When I checked the specifications for your notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.

Please try this process.
1. Download the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers and save them but do not install them yet
2, Delete the chipset driver and install the updated one.
3. restart your notebook
4.Delete the Intel driver and install the updated one
5. restart your notebook
6. Delete the AMD driver and install the updated driver.
You should now have a Catalyst Control Center.
This should now allow you to use the higher graphic card which should support the higher resolution.

It would be nice if you told others the steps you've tried and/or how you used to have your setup.
Anyway have you tried tapping MORE this will then bring you to
the selection-list of Audiobooks, Genres, Compilations & Composers.
Selecting Genres gives you a list of all your music split into genres which was set within the Music downloaded via iTunes or uploaded from CD or which you may have set yourself.
Then you just select the Genre you want:
If certent songs are not correctly gategorised you may need to go into iTunes and reselect via Get-info
>Info>Genre and change it there. That way you should end up with all songs of Jazz or other in 1 place.

Unmount the TC disk and manually mount it in Finder..
Use Go, Connect to Server.
Type in the network name or IP address thusly.
AFP://TCname.local (TCname is the actual network name of the TC.. this is not the same as its name unless you use correct SMB naming.. so simply fix the name or find its network name. local is domain).
or
AFP://10.0.1.1 (That is default IP, type in your TC ip which should only be used if static)
When you do the above it will request a password, type in your TC disk access password.
You should be able to copy files to the TC now.. but please remember the TC is not a great place to store files and Time Machine cannot back it up.

If you get the error "Backup not successful" and you've tried deleting the last backup and trying to back up manually without luck, try the following test: Go to...
Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap your device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options. Turn off all apps from backup and then do a manual backup. If that doesn't work, then this post will not help. If the backup works, then go back to the app list and turn some on and try another backup. If successful, keep repeating these steps. If it fails at some point, then try to zero in on the one app that seems to make the backup fail. (I had this problem and found one app failing, probably due to a corrupt data file.)
This process will take time, but if a backup works with no app data being used but clearly fails with the original settings, then somewhere in the mix of apps is a "bad" one.

yes, you can locate and copy a file from your HD to a USB key using UNIX commands. If you know the exact name of the file which you’re trying to locate, try this:
find / -iname filename -print
This command will search your entire internal disk for the particular filename. If you know that it’s within a particular user account, then you can save search time with this variation:
find /Users/username -iname filename -print
Either variation of this command will print all files found which have the given filename. Presuming that you’re able to identify the correct file, you can copy it to a USB key using the command
cp -p filename_returned_by_find /Volumes/USB_volume
If you’re not sure which volume name your USB key has, this command will show you what the possibilities are:
ls /Volumes

IPhoto videos corrupted... Tried multiple suggestions but nothing working. Pls help.

My videos in iPhoto '11 (9.2.1) Library on Mac are corrupted and I cannot rectify using iPhoto library manager. When I click on the thumbnail it says "The movie contains an invalid data reference". When I rebuild the library launching iphoto pressing in control +command and selecting all the options, the video image disappears in the rebuilt library. Can anyone help? I have my baby videos and would be devasted to see them lost...

Viewer window blank, but all scopes reading video information

This is a problem that I've just started having with Color. Granted, it's the first time I've used it since I had a new logic board and new video card installed, so I'm up for any explanation.
I am importing HDV files from FCP into Color, and everything shows up correctly except for the video in the viewer. There's nothing there. All scopes respond to the correct video data, but no video.
I've trashed prefs and tried several different render codecs, but no joy.
I've seen a few similar posts, but no satisfactory answers.
I appreciate any constructive suggestions.

SO - weird. I changed my monitor color profile back to the default (not DC P3 D55 neutral), and when color crashed (yeah ... still happens) it was working again after a relaunch! So apparently there is some sort of viewer space mapping that is going on in color (big fat guess here - just trying to sound like I know what I'm talking about for a minute) and I managed to choke it. Scopes were working fine all along, but not the display viewer. Hunh. Go figure. Learn something new every day - so:
change your monitor color preferences to a default color profile in the Apple System preferences and it should work again (I know a few others on CreativeCow have had this problem as well).
