I'm using Aurora versioon of Firefox. It won't print & says I need to install a printer but it's already installed.
I'm using Aurora version of Firefox (v. 5.02a). I try to print but it won't and says I need to install a printer. I say OK but it then fails. I already have my printer installed and it works fine with all browsers but Aurora. This problem happened about the time I was offered to upgrade to v 6.02a. I tried upgrading but the upgrade failed and I lost all my many tabs that I keep open for research for my writing. I must be able to print and wonder what I should do (and why 6.0a2 didn't work!).
That 5.0a2 version is old as Firefox 5.0 has been on the Beta channel for some time now and is due for release on June 21 next week (despite what some sites wrongly claim).
Firefox 6.0a2 has been getting developed on the Aurora channl for a few weeks now.
You should update to recent Firefox 5.0 beta 7 at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel/ or update when 5.0 is released.

Are you using AdBlock Pro or another ad-blocking or anti-tracking technology? If so, you should try disabling it.

Did you try downloading the movie from iTunes on your iPad? I know it takes longer but I'd try that.
Also try to reset all settings.
Settings > General > Reset. Reset all settings. -
My add-ons still appear to be installed and working, but I can't install more, or uninstall, or configure them.
Try forcing Firefox to rebuild the list of installed add-ons.
# Open the profile folder, for details of how to access it see the [[profiles]] article.
# Close Firefox, then delete extensions.sqlite (you can also delete extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.rdf if they exist)
When you restart Firefox the list of installed add-ons should be rebuilt.
If that did not work, you may have an add-on that is causing the problem, try the options in the [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.
If you type '''about:addons''' into the location bar does that bring up the list of add-ons? I have seen a blank add-ons list if Mr Tech Toolkit add-on is installed, accessing the add-ons manager by typing about:addons in the location bar is a workaround with that add-on installed. The author of that add-on is working on an update. -

Just brought the MacPro and first time using iTune and Yes I authorized the computer. But for a few purchased songs, only 30 seconds of the song plays and for one song off an album, a pop comes up saying I need to authorized the computer, but I do this and it says it is authorized already. I click on the song to play it and this process repeat (saying it is not authorized, then saying it is already authorized)
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

After downloading an upgrade to firefox 4 the computer shut down and restarted, but firefox wouldn't open, saying I needed to shut down and re-start the computer first. Which I did again. Same result. So I tried to repair the file but it told me to reboot. Which I did again. Then I tried to uninstall it, but it wouldn't saying I needed to reboot. Which I did again. Then I tried to download firefox 3 but it wouldn't saying I needed to reboot. Which I did again. Now I've lost my browser! How do I get firefox working please?
It seems strange to reply to my own problem, but I'm doing it in the hope it might help someone who's in a fix, as I was. First, let me say that the problem of Firefox 4 being jammed may not have been the fault of firefox; it might have been this cranky vista operating system... but if you're introducing a browser for use on a cranky system, you need to tailor it to that system.... After I posted this problem, I tried a system restore to just before the firefox 4 download, which re-introduced firefox 3.6 on my programs, but it was still jammed and blocked. .... Then a friend recommended a free download: Revo Uninstaller, which will force uninstalling if necessary; and after an initial protest, Revo got to work and removed all the firefox files.... Then I re-downloaded firefox 3.6... and amazingly: it works! Even my tabs and bookmarks have been preserved, although I don't know how!.... For the future: if mozilla can't overcome this problem before they force firefox 4 on their users, then if it jams again, I have been advised to go to Google Chrome- which I don't want to do.... So, do, please, Firefox, give us a fully workable and user friendly system before you force us to go over to it [Firefox 4, that is]. Thank you so much, in anticipation.

Every morning when I turn on my computer and start Firefox I get a notice that I need to update Firefox. When I click to do so it just keeps running saying "Connecting".
I do have a Print Screen of it and would send it if you want.If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Do a clean (re-)install:
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox. -

To change your password you will need to open System Preferences, then open Users & Groups, click on Change Password. Change your password to a temporary one, then when you have finished you do the same procedure to change it back, by typing in the temp password then leaving the new password blank. I read your suggestions for going to the XP Tools menu, going to Advanced, going to Options ... and all my settings are just like what you show in your suggestions. But I keep getting messages saying I should download the latest Firefox update, and it doesn't download automatically, and I have no way of manually downloading it. I've tried numerous times but it simply won't download. When I click on Install Now, all I get is a green line running horizontally in a track, but it never stops and never actually downloads anything. One time I got as far as a downloading an installer, but then the installer didn't do anything. I couldn't get it to open. In the past, Firefox updates have always downloaded automatically on my computer. I'm starting to worry that maybe this so-called update is not really from Firefox at all, although it says it is.

Go up to the Apple menu and see if you can force quit the process. If not, hold the power button down for 5-10 seconds and it will shut down your MBP. -
None of the flash games will work on FF, I have even uninstalled FF and reinstalled it, I have disabled QuickTime, I have uninstalled Adobe flash and reinstalled it and still NOTHING! Flash works fine on Seamonkey though
Check that plugin scanning is turned on (it should be by default). If it is turned off Firefox will not search the Windows registry for details of plugins that it can use.

If it was set to false, re-start Firefox to see if the Flash plugin is now available.
Also make sure that you have installed the version of Flash used by Firefox. You should have it because SeaMonkey is using it, but if the Flash plugin is in SeaMonkey's own plugins folder Firefox may not be able to see it.
Download the latest plugin from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/?installer=Flash_Player_10.2_for_Windows_-_Other_Browsers and run it to install the version of Flash used by Firefox, this will install it in the default location so that Firefox should be able to find it. -

no matter which theme I choose from igoogle it won't load on firefox. it loads ok on IE and chrome. I also have no colour on gmail at all
I was having an issue with gmail after upgrading to FF4. Trying to load gmail, FF kept asking to save a file of type application/binary. The file itself was a .part file. Not sure what all this was about, but I deleted all gmail related cookies and gmail loaded and ran fine after that.
