I'm using windows 7 with a hp deskjet 3059A e Printer All-in-One J611n not scanning pc not found

My Deskjet 3059A e printer all-in-one J611n was working fine til my pc crashed. Now I can't get it to scan. Says computer not found & it is switched on to my pc via usb cable.... Help

I read your post about the scanning problems and I am here to help you out.
I would first suggest you restart the computer completely, and power reset the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Now with both the printer and PC powered on, run the Print and Scan Doctor from your computer and send me a screen shot of the results or write me back with the detailed results.
Try scanning from the HP Software on your computer, and also scan from the printer to your PC. Tell me if either ways worked and what happened!

    Then you might check at any of the other university book stores or software stores or any computer store in town for the 64-bit version.
    If you want to use the 32-bit version from the school (you probably get it for free or very cheap) then you could purchase Parallels and run it as a virtual machine concurrently with OS X. There are some caveats:
    1. You have to purchase Parallels (there may be an academic discount.) List is $79.95.
    2. Your computer needs minimally 4 GBs of RAM, but realistically 8 GBs would be better.
    3. Parallels creates a pseudo-drive on your hard drive. It could easily require 50 GBs of disk space.
    Accommodating these might be more costly than buying 64-bit Windows 7. And, if you look online you may find them with an academic discount (or may be able to order it through the school.)

    Welcome to the forums!
    I read about how you're attempting to install your Deskjet F2210 on your Windows 7 system and receive Fatal Error codes. I will do my best to help and make some suggestions for you to try. 
    To being, try a standard copy from the unit to see if it will copy. If copies work, continue troubleshooting. If not, let me know what happened when you made a copy.
    Next:
    Perform a Level 3 uninstall.
    There are 2 ways you can run the uninstall:
    From Original installation CD:
    1. Insert CD into drive, and then cancel the installer
    2. Click Start and open 'Computer', and then right click on the CD drive and open
    3. Open folder Util
    4. Open folder CCC
    5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
    6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
    7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
    8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
    9. Download the full feature software and drivers: HP Deskjet F2200/F2224 All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Driver
    10. Run the download to reinstall the printer
    If software was downloaded and extracted to your system:
    1. Click Start and type %temp% in the run field
    2. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356) (If there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)
    3. Open folder Util
    4. Open folder CCC
    5. If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
    6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
    7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
    8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that you are wondering if their is a driver for Windows 10 for your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage K209. I am happy to take a look for you!  As far as I can tell, the only software items available, are the ones you already mentioned. The HP Print and Scan Doctor, and the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.     Does anyone have recommendations for a printer/all-in-one that will work with Mavericks? Monochrome (b&w) laser printer/all-in-one preferred. This is for a small office (5-8 people). Frequent pdf printing and 30+ page documents.
    Right now I'm looking at Brother MFC-7860DW (might need something with a larger capacity), Brother MFC-8710DW, Epson WorkForce WF-M1030 (again, may need something w/ larger capacity), and Canon Laser imageCLASS MF4770n or Canon Laser imageCLASS MF4890dw. Also have looked at Canon imageCLASS MF6160dw but reviews are iffy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

    Welcome to the HP Forums.
    I see that you are having an issue with the printer printing off a test page before printing.
    If you are shutting the printer off at the end of the day, please don't.  Turning the printer on and off will result in it printing off a test page.  If you are concerned about the printer wasting power and this is why you are shutting down, the unit actually has a built in sleep/stand by mode that will kick in when the printer is not being used.
    Once a print job is sent to the printer it will then wake up and do the task at hand.
    Also, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.

    Please help me to fix my HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 All in One Printer. Before it is ok to use it, but after a couple of months when I dont have an ink I didnt use it. As of today I have an important papers to scan but when I try to plugged in the outlet my printer power is off but the two lights in fit to page are on and also the attention light is on.     If you've followed all the troubleshooting then I'd suggest contacting HP Phone Support as you may require a replacement.

    Hello everybody,
    got a problem. I bought a new printer. It is a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2545 All-in-One Printer.
    Everything is running pretty good. But when I use the copy function it is not scanning the whole page so I miss maybe 1-2 cm. I can see how the slide stops 1-2cm before the A4 mark.
    When I just print something no problem. The printer is able to print the whole page. So it is not the printer I guess.
    When I scan something over the PC it is no problem it is scanning till the A4 mark.
    The problem just occures during copy.

    I would suggest trying the troubleshooting steps in the guide I've posted below for you (except for changing the cartridges if that is not necessary). If you are still unable to print in proper A4 format, the printer hardware may have an issue and I'd recommend calling HP technical support to see about a replacement unit.

    Bought a brand new one in October but then discovered the paperwork and CD included was for the 2540 model and not the 2545 one which I have.  Couldn't take it back to the store (in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) where I purchased as I have misplaced receipt! Have spent ages online trying to see if I can download the software or get the right CD but to no avail.  So posting this message as a last resort to see if anyone can please help.  As I can't do any scanning in the meantime  :-(

    Hello there! Welcome to the forums @Belinda1 !
    The drivers are the same for the Deskjet Ink Advantage 2545 and the 2540 models, so you can install the full feature driver (if available for your operating system), and should be able to scan successfully.
