It's more likely a failed Erase Free Space, which creates a huge temporary file; that's why it looks like you have no more available drive space. You can recover from this. See these links

is your movie in your backup folder a Quicktime movie? Then probably only have the Quicktime wrapper in your backup folder, but not the referenced media in the file fork of the movie. If you see the full quality movie in iPhoto in QuickTime player, don't drag it from the browser to the Desktop, but use "File > Reveal in Finder > Original File" to show the movie in your iPhoto Library. Select the Movie when it is revealed and ctrl-click it to open it in Quicktime Player.
Export it from Quicktime Player with "Export to" and share it to iTunes. This way it will be converted to a .mp4 movie that embeds the missing resources.
You can drag the converted movie from iTunes to the Desktop or share it using to Media Browser to other applications.

My computer crashed and I have to get my data from my old drive to another computer, to ensure I get all my data what do I need to get. I have and ipad and an iphone. I need to get apps, contacts, pictures, etc. Is there a way to do this? It was a vista pc and the new is win 7. I can grab the backup files, and music, but what about my apps? I do not want to sync on the new pc since the apps aren't there. Were are the app files located in itunes? Can I just copy them to the new computer?
You can transfer itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back. -
Hi, Im using an iPhone 4 8gb and recently updated my software using my computer to iOS 6.1.3 and some of the tabs are now grayed out and cant function (specific reference to "Show My Caller ID - On/Off tab"). is there a way to fix this or can i downgrade back to my default software?

Thanks for your response, I forgot to add that the five 3uk sims we have in use, I have tried all of them none of them are recongnised non of them have pin codes, I even purchased four more sims Tmobile (original carrier) Vodaphone, 3 and giffgaff. -
Just bought an Airport extreem for my windows xp. Need Airport Utility v5.5.3. When I go to apple downloads it comes back page not available, try later. Whats up. Is there another way to get this utility so I can get started?

I was updating to the IOS 8 thru ITunes on my 4S when it came unplugged from the computer (dumb dog). Now the phone just has an image of plugging in to the ITunes icon and when I plug it in it says its in recovery mode and needs to be restored to original settings and I will lose all of my contacts/photos/etc. Is there a way to reverse this and just get my 'old' phone back with all of my stuff? I only have the free ICloud storage so I know most of my stuff will be lost. Yes I know..,hindsight is 20/20 on buying the backup. Help please!
In short. No, you cannot unsync. If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there. Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer. -

I have the box with all the information SN etc.. Is there a way to disable this device? Block it from my Yahoo email? Locate it? Any ideas?If you activated "Find My Mac" in iCloud before the loss, maybe. Otherwise no.

I recieved a new MacBook Pro for Christmas, and my Fiance purchased the new Microsoft office along with a few other things. This morning, I did a time capsule restore to get my documents and photos from my old Macbook, but I apparently did a full restore instead and ended up losing everything that was loaded onto my new computer in the process. Is there any way to undo a time capsule restore?
Did you do a backup of the new MBP before you restored? If not there is really no way to go backwards.. although you might find your old setup is still there.. create a new user, with full admin rights.. and then log out and log back in again.. if the new software has disappeared then the restore has completely overwritten the existing files.. you will need to start over.. fresh clean install of the OS and start again.

Help please! Can't save a Livecyle 7 form in Acrobat 9
I've created a form for the first time using Livecycle 7. Little did I know this wasn't the latest version...
I've since discovered that within the organisation others users of the form have acrobat 8 and 9.
The users with version 9 are unable to save the form. Is there a way I can get around this?

With earlier levels of Firefox, I could bookmark all the tabs in a window in a single operation, and then recover them all, or just selected ones.
I don't seem to have this in Firefox 4 and i find this really a pity.

I synced my data and all my bookmarks disappeared is there a way to undo the sync and get them back?
I believed that my laptop and desktop were set up to sync my laptop's data to my desktop. The desktop had no bookmarks on it, when I hit the sync button on my laptop all my bookmarks disappeared. It appears that the desktop replaced the laptop's data instead...
Is there a way to get them back?Restore the bookmarks from a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder that still has them.

My husband originally bought the Scrabble app for his iPhone. I downloaded it onto my iPad and used it, successfully, for 1 day. Since then, when I try to open it, it starts to load and then shuts down and goes back to the main screen. PLEASE, someone, help me with this problem.
Try closing the Scrabble app via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Scrabble app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Scrabble app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If neither of the above fix it then you could try deleting it and re-sync or re-download it via the Purchased tab. -
The times this happened was on facebook: there is no pictures, only words, but the words are all smashed to the left. The other time was on grooveshark. When I refreshed/reloaded everything disappeared and now when I go to that website it shows no music just about 3 words pushed to the left.

I need some help with the music app in ios 7...
In ios 6, I could choose an artist from the "srtists" view and it would show me all his albums as a list. Now, in ios 7, when I choose an artist, it shows me every song underneath every album, making it impossible to see al the albums at once! Is there anyway to minimize this view so I could see only the albums' titles as a list?
It is VERY annoying. I would very much appreciate any help on this!

This is all about the experience and accessibility. I don't even mind if the new desing is beautiful or not, but if I find myself, like you, avoiding looking for my music, my experience becomes frustrating. I have about 35 albums of a single artist and I used to love going over them and choose the right thing for me, especially being on the road a lot, and now I have to think twice about even entering his name.
I really hope Apple will take those kind of things into consideration when they issue updates for ios 7, and maybe also give us back the goole search which was embeded into the spotlight search (which is really not that big of a request).
And for your 4s - get the new iphone, it's MUCH better
