Hi guys
I don't know what settings I pressed
but now when I want to log in to my MacBook, it tells me I have to type my username and password.
My username has an emoji on it and I cannot type it at all!!!
So I can't access my MacBook. any idea how I can reboot the whole Mac or how I can get into my Mac????

I need desperate help with Itunes for the SLVR

I have a set playlist for Itunes to take songs from and put onto my phone when it is connected. That playlist has 56 songs, but when I click autofill, it only puts 31 songs down. As I add more songs to the playlist however, it only takes certain ones. For example, for every 7 songs I download into the playlist, it only takes 2 or 3. The phone has tons of space but I don't know, need desperate help, thanks in advance.

i know i have the same problem the only one thing i have noticed that is consistant along with this problem is that songs that will not go on it are all of them have a higher bit rate than songs that do go on the phone but thats the only real thing i can notice so if someone can show me how to lower the bit rate if its possible that might be the miracle cure

I'm still having problems with my iPod. If you read my latest post you'll know the problem. Something about the required file cannot be found so the iPod cannot be updated, music gets updated but my photos wont. It charges like normal, but I don't like that message! I need some directions on how to fix it! I uninstalled then reinstalled iTunes, I restored my iPod....twice. And this mysterious file that apparently doesn't exist has not been loaded after I've reset everything! Help please! I want my photos on my iPod!

I think its your photos causing it. TO test this, with the ipod connected goto edit>preferences>ipod tab>photo sub tab and change it for not, UNCHECK "Sync Photos".
When its don't doing its thing, disconnect it then connect it again to the PC and see if you still get the message

I NEED DESPERATE HELP! ADWARE THAT DOES NOT GO AWAY NO MATTER WHAT I TRY

So I was downloading something to my computer and, of course, I got stuck with that Only Search thing and no matter what I try it DOES NOT GO AWAY. I tried turning off my extensions, I tried switching networks, I tried resetting safari. Deleting my history. Every. Single. Thing.
And nothing works.
Pleas please PLEASE someone help me with getting rid of this I HATE having an adware.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

New to dreamweaver and need desperate help!!

Just downloaded adobe dreamweaver cs5.5, I wanted to try it out because I hear some many decent things about the ease of using this app to design website....I can not for the life of me figure out how to import my existing website into dreamweaver!!! Can anyone help please?

Have you looked at the Help files? To work with Dreamweaver, you need to define your site and set up the details of your remote server. Messed Up BAD need DESPERATE HELP

My computer died a week ago, I rebuilt it and put in Final Cut Pro. My movie which is on a Lacie Drive worked great till tonight when it said I ran out of memory (my new HD has 250 gigs unused and my Lacie has over 25 gigs unused). Anyway in SYSTEM SETTINGS I set a new place for my work. Now I can't open any of my Lacie Drive files which contain my movie.
I think I have to reset the SYSTEM SETTINGS to where they were originally but I don't remember where they were.
What do I do? I have so much work to do on this movie and I'm at a loss. It's driving me liteally insane!

Good Lord, the different between memory AND hard drive storage...
We're talking basic computer... no VERY basic computer knowledge here.
Print this... hold it in your hand. OK got it?
Now,
Close all the programs, everything.
Click the Apple up there on the left.
A box will come up.
Look in the box. (The box will have a GREAT BIG Mac OSX in the middle.
Under that it will say Version _________ (should say 10.4 - and another number, something like probably 8, 9 or 10.
Under that will be PROCESSOR... and then
MEMORY if it reads any less than 2 GB you don't have enough. If it reads 4 or more... you have about enough....
This is the RAM - Random Access Memory, what the computer uses to run all of the programs. What Final Cut Pro uses to run itself, capture video, edit video, display video and render video.
When Final Cut Pro has enough RAM memory to do all of these things, it will quietly perform its duties and give you nice video just as you asked for.
When Final Cut Pro does not have enough RAM it will send you a message "OUT OF MEMORY". What this mans is, Final Cut Pro can not complete the request you made of it without having more memory. Either your machine is maxed out on memory, in which case you cannot do everything you asked Final Cut Pro to do in one request... or you are a cheapskate and need to buy more memory for your computer.
No offense, all our computers have told us we are cheapskates many times over the years.. Final Cut Pro requires lots of memory. Editing Video requires lots more memory. If you will note the bottom of my reply you will note I have 4 Gigs of memory in my G5. Often that is not enough to do everything I want to do in real time. I have decided not to reward my box with more memory but to endure the messages and save my money for a new Intel box....
Bottom line is: More memory is a choice. You'll always need more.
Forgot to explain the difference:
Hard drive space is simply storage.. like a drawer in your desk.. when it gets full you empty it.. if it's not full you can stuff more stuff in it. Do not let your system drive get more than 85 to 90 percent full. That's the drive with with OSX and FCP on it. it will run slow.. maybe even run less than slow...
Same with your scratch disk.. that's the disk you capture video and audio to. It should never be the same as the system disk. Bad news, bad stuff, bad decision, bad, bad, bad....

Someone has been able to get into my Game Center account and has hacked me, I've changed my password and everything but he still finds away to get into my account, he changes my bio and stuff and I don't know what to do, I need desperate help :(

Have you given your information to anyone?   Family, friend?
Did you have another device with Game Center on it?   Did you give a new owner of a device any passwords?
Do you share apple account with a family member?
Do you have a rescue email set up in your Apple account, with security questions?
I suggest you set up a new email account, write everything down and keep it in a safe place.
New email account and password. Not so easy that it can be hacked.
In your iTunes account on the computer. Login and change security questions, password and rescue email.
Again, make sure your password is not easy to guess.   Same with security questions.
Write it all down and keep it somewhere safe.
I recommend a password keeper called Enpass.   You can store 10 cards with user names, passwords, notes and account numbers in the free version.
Then you only have to remember one complicated password to open Enpass and retrieve your information.
If all else fails, contact apple support.

Need Desperate Help Regarding iPhone 4 Sync Issue (PC, Win7)

I'll attempt to make this question as concise and fully informative as possible. I have an iPhone 4 Jailbroken running firmware v4.3.3. I typically sync my phone with my PC on a normal basis until this past October I bought a new SSD and had to re-install iTunes on my C drive. As you know, a re-install means that any re-sync with a fresh iTunes install means that the phone will basically wiped clean. Since the new iTunes install I have regularly been "Backing Up" the iPhone,(but never synced it) however this is not a "Sync" of course, but I figure it still beneficial to do. I believe I have the following options and/or issues to deal with:
1) Is there any way to "reverse-sync" the iPhone to the PC, instead of the other way around? I kept the old iTunes operating files but I am not sure which ones I'd need to copy over to which folder to make a "current" sync happen, or to "fool" iTunes into thinking nothing has changed since the fresh install.
2) I realize a "restore" will erase the jailbreak, but what if I choose "Restore From Backup", will that also erase or reset the jailbreak?
3) I am mainly concerned with calendar appointments, my apps with invaluable information, and notes. Everything else such as music I can simply re-sync if I have to.
In essence, I am trying to do a up-to-date sync with the new iTunes install and loose as little data and information as possible (or none at all). I have apps installed such as iFile that hold many files within the folder tree structure of the phone that I cannot afford to loose. I'd be willing to make backup copies of all these files if there is a viable solution for me, which Im hoping somebody can recommend to me.
If there is a special app or PC app that I need to make things run smoother or achieve my goal I am more than happy to install whatever it takes. Thank you for any responses, they are most appreciated.

No!!!!! iTunes Store content (apps, music, media) is synced to and from iTunes - it's not in the backup. If you never synced your phone with this computer before, the first sync is unidirectional from the computer to phone. If there's nothing in the iTunes library now, what's in your phone will get deleted. In this case, you have to first "Transfer Purchases" To do this:
1. Be sure that automatic syncing on connection is disabled in iTunes Prefs > Devices > Disable.....
2. Connect phone with iTunes open.
3. Right-click the device tab on left border of iTunes window.
4. Select "Transfer Purchases." Note that any music/media on the phone that was not originally obtained from the iTunes Store will not transfer to the computer.
It's now safe to sync the phone. Note that when you select "Sync" on the iTunes page, the phone is typically backed up as well, if you didn't set it up to backup to iCloud instead.

Need desperate help on hook

Please would somebody help me. I bought a Mackie 402 pro mixer. I have a T.C.Electronics Vocal Prism Plus (for singing and background effects) that has a left and right output and a SPDIF in and out jacks. I have a Denon 3202 tuner/amp (that I use VCR- in and out jacks) that I use to boost the singing and etc. I want to hookup up my mixer into the Creative labs Sound Blaster X-Fi fatility card on my computer that only has a line in and a line out. I want to be able to mix from my mixer but at the same time use the Denon to amplipy the sound. I would appreciate anybodys help. I am new to mixing and I really don't even know what buttons to push or what to mute and etc. I am sure there is someone that can help me.

It was suggested that I remove the footage and format the HD in the camera. Sooooooo what about the footage on the camera which could not be replaced.

This program allows you to import both HD and SD files so I connected the SR11 to the PC and imported both formats into the PC in separate folders on the Desktop for easy locating. All appeared OK in the PC so I then formatted the SR11 erasing everything including stills (very important) on the card and HD and checked the camera to be sure it was clean. I then exported the HD files back into the camera and then checked to be sure all was there and then disconnected the USB cable from the PC. This took forever because I had 40+ Gigs of data on the camera which had to go both ways, import and export.
I forgot to turn iMovie off on the iMac but as soon as I plugged the camera USB cable into the iMac the import window popped open and walla, all the HD footage was there so I spent the rest of the evening importing it into the iMac as MOV files. The SD footage was already in the iMac because iMovie saw it initially when I tried to import everything. The still files were copied to the iMac via the network.
I will say that this was the first time the iMovie Import window had ever opened on its own. Just like the instructions say.
I reformatted the SR11's HD and I am now ready to start afresh.
KEEP THAT PC in the closet you just never know when it might come in handy!

Ok so i woke up this morning and my home button was not working, and a message kept popping up saying this accesorry is not optimised with this iphone, when theres nothing in it.
so i get home and charge my iphone,when i turn it on it says i need to plug it into itunes and do a restore,
so i did, i lost most of my apps, all my contacts, but it did fix the homebutton problem, however the accessory error message keeps popping up and now mysound is not working because of it.. any ideas?

All iTunes content on your iPhone - all music, movies, tv shows, and 3rd party apps should be in your iTunes library. All apps will or should be with Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes which should be selected for a number of reasons. With this selected, after downloading an app with your iPhone the app will be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so.
Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer so contacts should be available on your computer as well. Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for contact info which can be lost or stolen.
Check the dock connector port on your iPhone closely for any dirt, lint, or foreign material and it doesn't take much. If none, this error message can also indicate water or moisture damage to the dock connector port or some hardware damage with the pins in the port.

Need desperate help removing residue

I need a quick and easy way to remove residue from the top cover of my MacBook Pro. I put a bunch of stickers a while back and now that I removed them the residue is still intact. I have tried everything from rubbing alcohol,blow dryers,peanut butter, lemon oil, vegetable oil, and warm water. nothing works. I can't go out and buy anything at the moment but any ideas ?

Basically i have an XML file, for example something like this:

I know how to read the file by elements (I'm using XMLLight) but now what I need to do is to modify the file without rewriting it from scratch. Say for example I want to change the "name" value in the file. How could I do it? Any code example would be most useful!!

Need desperate help removing open zone

Hi. I used to be on BT Open Zone. I have now moved to a house where they are using Sky as their broadband connection. At first, I connected to their network, no problems. Then it stopped working. The house I am at now have never used open zone.
It now shows my connection as BTOpenZone rather than sky. I have gone into the network properties, and the only listed network is sky. Since I have moved to this location, should I remove everything to do with open zone, such as the control panel? I assume i no longer need this?
Any advise on what I should do/remove, and how to do this would be great.

Need desperate help on importing Sony SR11 footage

I am having a real problem importing ALL SR11 footage into my new iMac. I have a lot of footage on my Sony. First I connect it to my iMac via USB, turn on the Sony, select USB Connect, it connects and iPhoto opens, not iMovie9 so I manually close iPhoto and open iMovie. Previously iMovie did open and showed some of the movie clips but not the recent video I just shot. I checked the Sony and the 48 clips I need are there and they play perfectly in the camera. The "NO NAME" icon is on the desktop and if I open it, there are 44GB of 60GB on the drive. There are several folders and a list of 287 MTS files in the STREAM folder which I guess are the video files.
I tried the archive and the files are on my Desktop now. And of course the same thing happens here too.
What am I doing wrong? And I also tried a new USB cable.

Don't use Readers and Writers for files, use InputStreams and OutputStreams, otherwise your data is being converted on both send and receive and this may not be symmetrical. As you want the original data, just send it!.
