I need help installing drivers...

I recently bought this computer used from a large corporation.  They removed the hard drive, but left the rest of the computer intact.  I put in a new hard drive and installed Windows 7 on the computer.  My problem now is I need to install the drivers for the computer, as it has none installed.  I went to the HP driver download site and they only have drivers for windows 8.1.  I still used my other computer to download the driver and then used a flash drive to install to my computer.  It would not install as it is the wrong os.  How can I install drivers on the computer?  Please, help.  thank you.

Hi: See if some of the W7 x64 drivers from this model work on yours.  Do not use any of the BIOS or firmware files. http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-700-200-Desktop-PC-series/5399651/model/6667346 It has a similar hardware configuration but not exactly the same. Let me know what devices are left that still need drivers.

  • MSI K8T Neo2 FIR, need help installing drivers

    Hi there,
I need help with installing drivers. Here’s my setup:
    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+
    Mainbord: MSI K8T Neo2 FIR (VIA K8T800Pro)
OS:  Windows XP Professional, SP2 installed
    ATI Radeon 9600 Pro
I updated per MSI Live Monitor, but when I run ‘dxdiag’, I says I have to update the ‘VIA standard host bridge’. I don’t know what this is or where it can be found. It could be I saved the updated drivers in the wrong file (F:\ Program Files\...) where F is my primary harddisk and the drivers should be saved in F:\Windows\ System 32.
Also, my hardware setup tells me there are two videocards 'installed': a Radeon 9600  Pro and a radeon 9600 Pro (secundary). Do I need to de-install the secundary one?
Here’s a piece of my most recent dxdiag:

Help would be very much appriciated, thnx!

The two vis.cards issue is normal, it sees the primary output (VGA) as a device and the TV-out a separate device.
Go to device manager to see if there's any device on ur rig that doesn't have drivers.
Did u install the 4-in1 drivers, get the latest version from the MSI support site.
    good luck.

  • T60- Need help installing drivers

I have a T60, I believe I accidently deleted some important drivers so that my screen will work properly. After the system boots, the last thing I see is the Windows XP screen. Then nothing. I am able to press the ThinkVantage key right away and use the support through that browser, I downloaded the current ATI graphics drivers, but am unable to install them as the instructions are for computers that are working properly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as the last thing I want to do is a full system restore.
    Thanks!!!!

    Try these drivers:

Good luck and keep us posted.

  • Need help installing drivers

I have a KT4A Ultra FISR motherboard and I just downloaded Broadcom 5702 LAN Drivers and the audio drivers.
Unlike the VIA 4 in 1 drivers download, which had an setup installer icon, the LAN and the Audio driver downloads do not. How do I install those two drivers?

for sound: double click on cm45xp.exe then extract files into your specified folder.
then go to device manager, find the yellow device with question mark, select it and right click with mouse on it. select update driver and folow instruction, asnwer with i will choice drivers to install, then point to the folder where files from archive was extracted.(your specified folder)
for broadcom: extract files from BCM4401_NP01.zip to specified folder. then repeat some procudere but point to the sub folder depend of your OS which you are using.
if you are unsure which yellow device is for sound which for one, delete it both from device manager then select computer and click "scan for hardware changes" (or reboot PC) then hardware detection wizard should popup, for "multimedia controller" load your sound drivers, for "ethernet controller" load your broadcom drivers.

  • HT2305 I have a new computer with Windows 8 OS.  Do I need to install drivers so that my Ipod Nano will sync with this new computer:

My daughter gave me a new Ipod (Nano) for Christmas.  I had no problem download my songs from my old Ipod (Shuffle) to the new one.  However - since I do not buy songs on a regular basis, I did not buy a new song until 4/29/13.  Now for information...sometime in March my old laptop died, completely.  I had to go buy a new one - which I did and this new one has Windows 8 Operating System on it (which I hate, btw).
Now, when I bout a song on Tuesday, the song did not go to my new Ipod.   I tried everything and finally had to talk to a tech - who was very kind in helping me and we did get all my songs from Itunes to this new computer.  I thought the song I bought would then go on the Ipod - but it did not.  I had already hung up from the tech - since we had been talking on the phone for about an hour.  He informed me that he was giving me a "courtesy break" because it has been over 90 days since my new Ipod was purchased ---- just my darn luck!
Anyway, I have figured out on my own that the new Ipod Nano is not synced with the new laptop with Windows 8.  I have been trying for the last 2 hours to get it to do so and in doing so, found out that Windows 8 is not mentioned in any of the help forums.  So...my question is:  Do I need to install drivers on the computer or what?  I will not be purchasing anymore music from Itunes until I get this matter resolved.  Any help will be apreciated. Thank you.

    Hello,
Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.
Your computer comes with Win 8 pre-installed but one of the steps to install/run Windows 8.1 is having updated drivers for Windows 8.1
Please, go to Control Panel -> System (or Start -> type winver and open) and verify what is your current version - if it is Windows 8 or 8.1
    Windows 8 is version  6.2.x
    Windows 8.1 is version  6.3.x
If Windows 8 in place, then , please read this article and enroll in the steps:
    http://www8.hp.com/us/en/pdf/instruct_update_win8.1_EN_tcm_245_1508074.pdf
Update to the latest drivers prior and post installation respectively for win 8/8.1 :

  • Need help installing Snow Leopard.

Need help installing Snow Leopard on a 2009 iMac. Hard drive is only choice for location and message says hard drive can't be used because it is used for Time Machine backups. Ultimate goal is to upgrade to OS 10.6.8.

Check to see if you have a file called backup.backupdb
If you do that means at some time in the past Time Machine was configure to backup to that drive
If that is not where you want your backup to to go, and it should not be stored there any way, then delete it and the install should work then.

I need help need help installing snow leopard on mac mini 10.5.8 intel based so if u kno how pls message me thanks

You need to purchase the upgrade disk (it is a DVD). Then just put it in and run the installer. When it was first released it was $29 USD, do not know if the price has changed or not.
The usual precautions about backing up your data apply. In fact I would recommend either making a Disk Image of your current boot drive or using something like Carbon Copy Cloner to copy it to an external drive. I upgraded 5 machines from Leopard to Snow Leopard without any issues, but better to be safe than sorry.
