I have shut off all of the things I did not want any longer! Please help me with my i-pod, and changing my password and help me to find ways to completely 'reboot' my i-pod!!

Need help turning off WPA!! on MI424WR-GEN3I
Hi,
I cant seem to turn of WPA on the router. I have it on WPA/WPA2 resulting in speeds of 56MBps. Simple fix to turn off WPA but I am not sure how to.
Anyone with ideas please?The OP needs to use WEP to connect some legacy equipment to his network which aparently won't support WPA2 encryption.
My suggestion still is to purchase/ beg an older G only router and set it up as an AP and then connect only the cameras and DVR to it either using WiFi or Ethernet.
PROS:
1. This will give you the WEP security you need.
2. By having the cameras and DVR connected on this AP you won't slow down N capable devices which can connect to your primary network.
3. Devices connected to your primary network will be protected by WPA2, but there is a big but
CON:
1. By having an AP using only WEP someone can easily gain access to your network. The best thing you can do to prevent this is double NAT the second router behind your primary which will result in any devices connected to it being in their own subnet with no access to the primary network. This however may result in it being much more difficult acessing the cameras remotely.
2. If you choose not to double NAT then enable every security feature you can on the second router which will delay and discourage script kiddies but not stop a real hacker intent to gain access:
a.Long as possible and secure WiFI encryption on WEP.
b. very secure administrative password.
c. Block administrative access by WiFi
d. Allow only certain IPs to administer the router
e. Block remote access to router
f. Give only the MAC addresses of devices that you want to be able to use the second router access by WiFi.
g, Monitor the system logs so you can tell if your router is under attack -
Need help turning off find my phone
I Purchased an iphone4 from a couple and later found out that in order to install apps that I need their account password. I texted them and they said they didn't remember it. They said to contact apple and give them the info they used when they purchased and registered the phone. They gave me the info but where/how do I use the info to turn it off so I can delete the account. I have the phone activated and am using it but want certain apps and want to add my music library but can't. Thanks in advance for your help
You will not be able to use this iPhone if you don't get them to sign out of their Apple ID with the appropriate Password. If they forgot their Apple ID and Password they can go online and correct things but they will need to answer their Security Questions and also may need to receive information on their Recovery email Address. This can all be done relatively quickly, but they will need to cooperate.

Hey everyone. I have an iPhone, but something weird happened. The touch screen stopped responding, but the buttons are all working. So I tried to turn it off, but the 'slide to power off' bar came up. Problem is, I can't slide anything because my touch screen isn't responding. Anyone know a way to restart your phone without having to slide the bar? And my battery is full, so it would take too long to wait for the battery to run out.
Hold the lock button and the home button at the same time for about 7 seconds or so and it should reboot the phone. Take the phone to the Apple store to get it checked out if this problem continues. Thanks.

Need help turning off autoupdate without Internet access for Reader 9
Does anyone know how to disable the auto-update for Adobe Reader 9.0?
The only article I have seen explains how to disable the update for 7.0 or 8.0 (both change a registry key bUpdater to 0, which does not exist for 9.0).
Anyone have an idea?
Thanks!The only way I know to disable it is to go to Help>Check for updates.... Let it do it's thing then click the "preferences" button and deselect "Automatically check for Adobe updates."

I'm new to iphone and need help turning off pandora, pls help !
I have used pandora forever on previous phones ,I know it should not be this complicated.
Double click the home button to show the recently opened apps bar. Slide to the left to show more apps if you don't see Pandora. When you find it, press on the app until it giggles and touch the white on red "-" at the upper left corner of the icon to close Pandora.

I got my artwork and saved it to my Desktop
Opened up Microsoft Paint and clicked on "File" and "Open" and found it to get it on the screen to resize it
Clicked "resize" and a box for changing it opened up
Checked the box "Pixels" and "Unchecked maintain aspect ratio"
Set Horizontal for 640 and Vertical for 480
Clicked on "OK" and went back to "File" and did a "Save As" and chose JPEG Picture
It came up "File Already Existed" and clicked "OK" (really did not care about the original artwork I found because wrong size)
Went to iTunes and on the movie right clicked on "Get Info", clicked on "Details", then "Artwork"
Go to the little box on the top left that shows your old artwork and click on it to get the little blue border to appear around it and hit "Delete" to make it gone
Click on "Add Artwork" and find it where you put the one from above on your Desktop and hit "Open" and OK and your new artwork is now there and all good.
Sounds like a lot of steps to follow but after around 5 or so you will fly through it. This worked perfect on my iPhone 6 Plus and I have artwork on my Home Videos now. -
Why don't I see the airplay icon in my settings? I have the ios7 installed now my netflix won't work as need to turn off mirroring..... And the airplay device is not installed.... Anyone help on this?.
Reboot your router. The icon only shows when connected to wifi and Apple TV or similar device. Same thing happened with my phone and the icon appeared in control center after router reboot.

My iPhone 4 screen stopped working. The phone is still on but the screen is not working at all, it is juts black. I was told restoring my phone might solve this problem so i plugged it into iTunes. When I click on the restore iPhone button a message popped up saying I needed to turn off 'find my iPhone' in phone settings for the restore to be go ahead. Problem is I cant access my phone!
I went onto my cloud account to see if i could do it from here but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Any ideas?From your iCloud account, you can go to Find My Phone and remove the iPhone from your devices list which will release it, or you could do a remote erase of the iPhone from iCloud.

when downloading large files such as videos of a television season do you need to turn off autolock to prevent download from halting? And if so, if the download will take a significant amount of time (not sure how much offhand) how do you prevent burn in from prolonged screen image?
Among the alternatives not mentioned... Using a TiVo DVR, rather than the X1; a Roamio Plus or Pro would solve both the concern over the quality of the DVR, as well as providing the MoCA bridge capability the poster so desperately wanted the X1 DVR to provide. (Although the TiVo's support only MoCA 1.1.) Just get a third-party MoCA adapter for the distant location. Why the hang-up on having a device provided by Comcast? This seems especially ironic given the opinions expressed regarding payments over time to Comcast. If a MoCA 2.0 bridge was the requirement, they don't exist outside providers. So couldn't the poster have simply requested a replacement XB3 from the local office and configured it down to only providing MoCA bridging -- and perhaps as a wireless access point? Comcast would bill him the monthly rate for the extra device, but such is the state of MoCA 2.0. Much of the OP sounds like frustration over devices providing capabilities the poster *thinks* they should have.
