I need to change the email address in my account

I can't see where to change the email address in my account. The address listed is one that I no longer have access to and every time I try to change it, it tells me that the address I change it to is not available.
Where can I change the email address?

What do you mean? - the address you use for login or the @icloud.com email address created when you opened your iCloud account?

If your login is an @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com address you cannot change it. If it is a non-Apple email address you can change it, but please be careful to follow the procedure outlined here:
Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Create a new email address, for example at Yahoo or Gmail, or anywhere convenient (or you can use an existing address as long as it has never been associated with an Apple ID).
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support.
EMAIL ADDRESS
Once you have created an iCloud account and chosen an @icloud.com address to go with it you can't change the address (short of creating an entirely new account).
However, all is not lost. You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

When you say "account," do you mean your iTunes library, because your iTunes library is what is on your computer? Your iTunes library does not have an email address. An account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID (which is an email address) and you use it as your user name to sign in to the iTunes Store, to make purchases. Changing your Apple ID will not make songs disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you had an Apple ID and used it to make song purchases from the iTunes Store, and then started using a different Apple ID, you should be able to re-download the songs purchased with the old Apple ID. In iTunes, sign in to the iTunes Store using your OLD Apple ID (and password). That may not be your current email address, but Apple uses it as your user name, so it does not matter.
On the iTunes Store Home screen, click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS. This takes you do the Purchased screen, where you can re-download previous song purchases (for that Apple ID) at no cost.
NOTE: If those song purchases are from more than a few years ago, you may also need to authorize your computer to play (and sync) songs for your old Apple ID.
For songs that were not purchased from the iTunes Store, if they are also gone, you cannot get them back unless you have a backup (or they are still loaded on your old iPod).

If your primary email address for your Apple ID does not end in @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com
Note: If your Apple ID and your primary email address are currently the same, changing the primary email address will also change your Apple ID. If your Apple ID and your primary email address are different, changing your primary email address will not change your Apple ID.
Follow these steps to change the primary email address for your Apple ID:
Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com), click "Manage your Apple ID," and sign in.
With the Name, ID, and Email Address drawer selected, click Edit next to Apple ID and Primary Email Address.
Enter your new email address.
Ensure that the email address you enter:
Is one that you regularly use since this will be the primary email for your account
Is a valid email address
Is not already associated with another Apple ID you have
Is not an address that ends in @mac.com. @me.com, or @icloud.com
You will be asked to verify the email address to confirm that you can access it and that it belongs to you. When you receive the verification email, click the Verify Now link and sign in using your Apple ID and password to complete the confirmation.

To change your Apple ID, follow these steps:

If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID. If you are unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the guidelines for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.

Enter the email address you want to use, then click Save Changes. Apple will send a verification email to that address.

I don't want to change my Apple ID, I just need to change the e-mail address that is attached to my icloud account. I changed the Apple ID to my new e-mail, but icloud still has the old address.

I haven't renewed my domain (gladwynlewis.com), neither can I renew it, because someone else has picked it up. Because the apple store has unique restrictions not allowing me to use the same email address for the login, I had to use the other email.
I want to change my email back to************ for the iTunes access, how do I do that? And please understand I cannot renew my domain name, so reverting back to my original email is now impossible. Please help, because I cannot download anything from my iTunes account, my devices are locked to that account, and I cannot change anything!!

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove your email addresses from your post (it's not a good idea to post personal info on any public forum).
You can change the primary email address on an account by logging into it via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, by tapping on it the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on and iOS device and logging into, or via http://appleid.apple.com

If you have a new email address then create a new mail account for that email address.
In Thunderbird:
File > New > select 'Existing mail account'
or
Menu Icon > New Messages > select 'Existing mail account'

If you have the same email address but want to change the server it uses.
If you currently have an IMAP mail account and you are wanting to close it, you would need to get a copy of any emails into Local Folders first.
Synchronise the folder for offline use, then in offline mode get a copy of emails into Local Folders.
If you have a pop mail account, the emails are already on your computer.
To change the server, but not email address:
you will need to know your server settings first.
Thenright click on mail account name in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'
select the Server sEttings for the account
or Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings for the account

When I go into my account settings and try to change my old hotmail address to my current Yahoo! address, it tells me "That email address is already used as an Apple ID." Yeah, I know that. I set up the account that I'd really, really, like to have together, but it won't let me go further. End of activity! If you remember the old ID and password you can log into the App Store with them and update iPhoto. Use the new ID and password for everything else. The downside is remembering both.

Here is what you need to do.
Cancel the subscription under B, purchase a new subscription under A.
If you do not want to use email B, you can leave it as it is. It can also be disabled and after doing that it cannot use B ever again.
