I need to delete files from my iMac hard drive, but not from my other devices (that are sync. to iCloud). How do I do this?? My Mac is a 24-inch Mid 2007 running on Mountain Lion. Thanks for your help.

I have recently recieved messages indicating that my start up disc is almost full. Consequently I need to remove some files from my hard drive. I've backed up my hard drive onto a NAS system & onto an external harddrive. The problem now, is that whenever I try to delete a file, a message comes up saying that if I remove this file from my hard disc it will remove it from all my other devices that are syn. to it. How do I remove a file (movies) from my iMac but not from other devices.

You're right - this question has nothing to do with iSync!
You're best bet would be to buy yourself an external Firewire or USB 2.0 hard-disk. There's no way you'll get 150gb onto an 80gb drive - certainly not in an instantly accessible way.
Your new Mac would've had the Migration Assistant appear during the initial OS install. This allows you to connect your new and old Mac together via a Firewire cable and automatically transfer your important files from old Mac to new.
Once you've all the files off your old Mac, re-format it and re-install the OS that came with it. If you boot up the Mac from the OS install DVD, there is an option to re-format the HD and install the OS.

There's no need to go to the store if you don't want to. You can purchase and download the new version from the Parallels web site. In fact if you want to try it out, I believe you can do the download and get a two week trial version. Later you can purchase the serial number to make it official.
I cannot be certain about your data, but I did not lose anything when I updated to Lion and faced a similar situation.

If I delete photos on my Iphone or Ipad, are they also deleted from Icloud and other devices which are synced with Icloud?

I have a number of photos on my Ipad and/or Iphone, and I have synced them with Icloud (my IMac is also synced with Icloud). I know that I can choose to synch directly with my IMac instead of with Icloud, but I would like to know what happens to the photos if I delete them from my Ipad/Iphone? I want to delete photos and movies to make more room on the devices.
I have not selected automatic syncing with Icloud for my photos.
I assume that the photos remain in Icloud until I go to Icloud to delete, but does anyone know how that is supposed to work?

Remember that you should not store photos on iCloud. It's time and capacity limited. It holds up to 1,000 photos for no more than 30 days. So, import no. 1001 and the first one is dumped. Leave them untouched and they will be deleted from iCloud after 30 days.
You can't delete individual photos from iCloud (only reset the whole thing) so trashing from a device will not trash from iCloud.

I've been hesitant to update my itunes for fear of losing syncing ability with my older ipods. Any help would be appreciated.

The reason I had not done it was because I thought I had read somewhere that firewire support had been stopped being supported in itunes so I was still on itunes7. Certainly a lot of changes, first thing I noticed is it seems to load up the ole 20gb brick superfast and somehow seems to sync the song faster.

I have a passcode for my iPhone, but I don't have the application Find my iPhone. Can I retrieve my photos, notes, reminders and all other data in my iPhone, I mean, if I bought another one, and connect it to my computer and go to iTunes then restore backup, cause I backup my iPhone last Oct 10, 2013, will I recover all the details in my iPhone that was stolen? Tried all available software updates - all up to date apparently but still no joy. OS X Lion shows the LX5 as a supported file format. I dont want to have to upgrade to Mountain Lion just to see if this solves the problem. Any ideas please.

Since when did this happen? Directly after you upgraded to Aperture 3.3.2?
If it happened directly after the upgrade the problem may be, that the raw support for your camera got lost. For some posters it helped to register the raw support again, see this post by Alan Roseman:

If this does not help, you may need to reinstall Lion to bring back the raw support.
But if the problem occured independent of a new installation, ypu may have a problem with your camera or the card you are using. Have you tried to use a different card or to reformat the card in the camera?

What application is set to open PDF files? If you CNTRL click on the file and open with Preview does the problem occur?
If not change the default application to open PDF files to Preview.
You can do this by highlighting the file and either use CMD i or Get Info , this will open a window with the info on the file with an option to change the application that opens the file.
That's all I can think of.

Thank you for clarifying. Your question is in your browser, not in iTunes. Each download link is different, and it has nothing to do with the File menu. You can save media files by secondary-clicking on the link to the media file and selecting Save File to "[your downloads folder".

I'm not quite sure I understand your question, but I'll give it a try.
To get to the page where you make the "always deny" setting change, simply click on this link: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l
After the page comes up, you can do the following:
If all you want to do is deny sites from storing Flash content/information on your PC, then you're done. Simply exit the page by clicking on your home page, then close out the browser. When you re-open it, the new setting will be applied.
If you want to allow sites to store Flash information or cookies on your PC, do the following:
