  • Help needed in Export to Excel

    Hi All,
    I needed some clarifications/suggestions on using the export to excel.
    1) When I click on export to excel, a <div> tag also gets exported. I came to know that this is becuse of selecting the "Enable Partail Page Refresh" to Yes. Now, I have pagination in my reports and I also need to export to CSV/Excel. Is there no way where in I can use PPR as well as export the report without the DIV tag?
    2) I have a number column to which I have given APEX inbuilt hyperlinks. When I do an export the columns where I have given these links do not get Exported. Any way to overcome this? I cant give links in SQL query as then all number formatting would be lost.
    3) In my report display I have colspan = "2" for some alternate rows. In my excel output I obtain these correctly but without colspan. Is it possible to merge the cells in excel output wherever there is colspan="2"? Or am I asking too much?
    Any suggestions would be welcome. Please let me know what can be done to solve this.

    Hi
    One solution which I've used before is to have a separate page for the export. Have a report on that page that uses the same query as the actual report (including any filters based on page items) and set the report to use the Export: CSV template. The Export link on the original page needs to be removed and replaced with a link to the new page. When you click the new link, the page opens as a download file automatically.
    This way, you don't need to worry about pagination and you can use different fields on your export.

  • Need to export indesign as single spread pdf(in javascript)

    Need to export pdf as individual single spread pdf file in indesign javascript scripting.
    I can get whole spread as single pdf file through : app.pdfExportPreferences.exportReaderSpreads = true;
    but my need is to export every spread as individual single pdf (like single page pdf file).

    Write a script that sets "Export as Spreads" and then export per two pages.
    (Post-thought)
    Perhaps it's easier (way easier) to just export as spreads, then use Acrobat to "Extract Pages As Separate Files" -- a basic function.

  • How to export "Managed by" field of Distribution and Security groups and import with new values? (Exchange 2010, AD 2003)

    My Active Directory environment is 2003 functional level and we have Exchange 2010.
    I am trying to find out the best way to do a mass edit for the "Managed by" values of our security and distribution groups.
    I know we can export the "managed by" field by csvde but I am not sure this is the correct way to do it. Also in the case that there are multiple users assigned to be managing a distribution group it only shows one value. Also powershell from Exchange
    2010 can be used with "get-distribution" but as our AD environment is 2003 is this correct also?
    Finally once the data is exported to csv can it be edited to then reimport and udpate the existing group managed by fields with new values?
    Not really sure that the best way to go about this is.
    Summary - We have 2003 AD with Exchange 2010 and I am trying to export a list of all our Distribution/Security groups showing the group name and managedby values so we can edit and update the
    existing managedby values with new ones. In some cases we have multiple users as the owners.
    Appreciate any advice on how this can be best achieved. Thank you.

    Hi,
    We can use the following command in Exchange 2010 to export "Managed by" field of Distribution and Security groups:
    Get-DistributionGroup | Select-object Name,@{label="ManagedBy";expression={[string]::join(“;”,$_.managedby)}},Primarysmtpaddress | Export-Csv
    C:\export.csv
    After you changed the Managed by field in export.csv and saved it as a new file named import.csv, we can run the following command to set with new value:
    Import-Csv C:\import.csv | Foreach-Object{ Set-DistributionGroup –Identity $_.Name –ManagedBy $_.ManagedBy}
    Hope it works.
    Thanks,

  • Incorrect Report duration in CAS Exchange 2010 Reports

    Hi ,
    We are facing issues in our Exchange 2010 reports where Reports are coming blank. We had an DWH aggregation issue in the past with the Exchange dataset. With the help of Microsoft we had caught up the aggregation manually. Post that the Exchange reports are
    coming blank.
    What could be done to fix the issue.
    Regards,
    Jesty

    First go to the event viewer, Application, Operations Manager and look if errors related to the Exchange Reports are raised. Verify that you enable rules.

  • Need to export OBIEE report in native excel format

    Dear All,
    Apologies if this issue has been discussed earlier in this forum. I am posting this afresh since I could not find a proper thread pertaining to this problem.
    Here is a snapshot of my issue:-
    While exporting a report in excel this exports this in mhtml format instead of native excel. As a result, the generated files are way bigger than expected and every day we are receiving multiple complaints from the end users. We tried to fix this by changing the messages files as mentioned in few blogs but could not make this work. Our current reporting system is on 11.1.1.6.
    In some of the online blogs I read that this issue is supposed to be resolved in 11.1.1.7. Can any one please confirm if this is indeed the case? Also, if any one can advise of any other resolutions it would be really helpful.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Vbez1,
    Thanks for your response.
    The way we are working at the moment is :-
    1. Ask users to download in .csv if they just need raw data
    2. While storing/sending the .xls files we have asked them to save the file as a excel workbook
    However no workaround could be achieved for the reports sent as excels by agents(clogging spaced in user's mailboxes) or actual download volume of the formatted excel reports (excel taking an awfully long time to open the files).
    As you mentioned, I heard that this issue was fixed on 11.1.1.7. Since this version is released for more than a quarter now, I wondered if someone out there can confirm that this has happened really.

  • FR Report export to CSV file

    Hi,
    I need to export FR Report to CSV file. This is should be done on adhoc basis. For this I have created a command line scheduler. Can we export the report to external directory in CSV format rather than in HTML or pdf?
    There is concept Bursting to CSV? Whether this export the data CSV file? How to use this one?
    Thanks in advance...
    Thanks,
    Naveen Suram

    I'm not sure there might be a third party tool which could help you export AUTOMATICALLY (or maybe even writing a MAXL report script)?
    You can export to xls from Hyperion, but I don't believe it can be automatic or scheduled.
    You have to be careful as the xls files that are created by exporting aren't really Microsoft Excel files, they are some kind of email storage containers incl. binary encoded html files as attachment. Those files are basically saved emails containing html attachments, but not plain, the attachments are binary encoded.
    (I did this investigation to see if OpenOffice could open the attachments in a more readable way, but unfortunately not).

    Hi Adrian,
    Why don't you try any another software for opening CSV files then Notepad ? According to my experience, you can use these softwares to open an CSV files and they are:-
    Microsoft Excel
    Open Office Calc
    Google Docs
    Also there is an additional tool available known as CSV viewer. You may try this, download it from here http://www.csvviewer.com/
    I've never used Notepad for opening CSV files, because sometimes it contains some symbols which are not not at all compatibile with Notepad.

  • PL/SQL report export to csv

    Hi,
    If you create a pl/sql report there is no option to create a csv. I need that functionality on my page anyway. Is there a way of programming this? Perhaps there is a export_to_csv api?

    i will create my page based on a collection. Its a sort of summary report, but with an unknown number of columns.
    Collection 'Dealers'
    ....................DealerA Dealer B Dealer C Dealer D
    region1..............1..............4........... 7............2
    region2............. 9........................... 5............3
    the regions are rows, the number of dealers is unknown. Thats why I need to use a pl/sql report, with htp. prints (htp.tabledata etc)

  • Report output Export to CSV issue

    Hi Experts,
    I have a Bex Query. After running the report when I export the report in CSV format using "Export to CSV" from the report output screen, the data
    is being dumped in different columns And when i try to convert that particular CSV file to Excel as we can only select one single column for delimiting the values using a separator into different cells the data in the other column is being truncated.
    Kindly suggest me how to resolve this.

    Hi,
    (If anything else on the BW side doesn't help).
    Not so long ago I had a similiar problem all data (originally taken from several columns) were in one column - solved it with the help of VB coding.
    Sth like this could help you.
    Regards, Leszek
        Dim tekst As String
        last_row = Selection.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeLastCell).Row
        Range("A1:Z" & last_row).Select
        Cells.Select
        Selection.NumberFormat = "@"
        For wiersz = 1 To last_row
             Cells(wiersz, 1).Select
             tekst = Selection.Value
             Cells(wiersz, 1).Value = Left(tekst, 21)
             Cells(wiersz, 2).Value = Right(Left(tekst, 27), 6)
             Cells(wiersz, 3).Value = Right(Left(tekst, 37), 10)

  • Dynamic file name for report export to csv

    If "Enable CSV output" = "YES" for a report region titled "Invoices", the default file name is "Invoices.csv". If I have a parameter, Pn_MONTH, for the month (e.g. Jan 2010, Feb 2010, etc.) and the report only shows data for that month, I would like to have the resulting file named "Invoices_Jan_2010.csv".
    I've tried setting the Report Export Filename to "Invoices_&Pn_MONTH..csv" and setting the region title to be "Invoices_&Pn_MONTH." but the resulting file name is coming up as "Invoices_.csv"'. I even tried "Invoices_:Pn_MONTH.csv" just to be sure but that makes it "Invoices_:Pn_MONTH.csv"'.
    How can I get this to work?

    This same method works for generating dynamic column headings from other page items, but I've never tried it for the download file name.That's the problem. The parameter P_MONTH is itself a page item and this is not consistent with other dynamic substitution. Looking at the page source, the export link is
    f?p=102:9:8985946323211742:FLOW_EXCEL_OUTPUT_R2805111921107129_en-uswhere presumably "FLOW_EXCEL_OUTPUT_R2805111921107129_en-us" is an application process and "2805111921107129" is the internal id of the region. The filename is not part of the link.

  • Crystal report 8.5 export to csv and rtf format not working with office 2013

    Hi Experts,
    Crystal report version 8.5 hangs and eventually crash when i export my report to csv or rtf format on windows 7 with office 2013 installed, code is written in VB 6 although the same scenario is working with office 2010 installed.
    i debugged the code and found the application hangs at function Report.Export(False).
    below is the code snippet
           .PDFExportAllPages = True 'ePDFExportAllPages
           .PDFFirstPageNumber = ePDFFirstPageNumber
           .PDFLastPageNumber = ePDFLastPageNumber
           .RTFExportAllPages = True 'eRTFExportAllPages
           .RTFFirstPageNumber = eRTFFirstPageNumber
           .RTFLastPageNumber = eRTFLastPageNumber
           .UseReportDateFormat = eUseReportDateFormat
           .UseReportNumberFormat = eUseReportNumberFormat
           .UseReportNumberFormat = eUseReportNumberFormat
           .XMLAllowMultipleFiles = eXMLAllowMultipleFiles
           .XMLFileName = eXMLFileName
           Report.Export (False) ----Application hangs here and eventually crash
    Looking forward for your help, as it is very urgent

    Mohit

    Hi Mohit
    CR 8.5, being about 15 years old, does not support Windows 7. I am surprised this works for you with MS Office 2010 and to be honest, I'd consider my self lucky there. The fact that is does not work with office 2013... well, like I said, lucky with Office 2010 and your luck ran out with Office 2013.
    Your option; rewrite the app in VS 2010 / 2012 / 2013 and use the CR Assemblies for VS .NET from SAP Crystal Reports, Developer Version for Visual Studio .NET. The CR Java SDK would be another option.

  • Show user entered date when ssrs report exported to csv format

    Hi All,
    How can I show date range parameter entered by user when ssrs report is exported to csv format.
    my csv output should look like this....
    Date : 01/01/2015 TO 01/31/2015 (user selected dates)
    ID,EmpFirstName,EmpLastName,Location
    1,Tom,Garry,NY
    2,John,Graham,NJ
    3,Ron,Lorrie,CA
    Thanks,
    RH
    sql

    Hi RH,
    You can add two textbox at the top outside the tablix and using expression to get the parameter value use have selected to display in the textbox as blew:
    TextBox1: =Parameters!Date.Value
    TextBox2: =Parameters!To.Value
    For Multiple value parameter you can use the expression like : =Join(Parameters!Date.Value,",")
    You can rename the two textbox' name in the properties as "Date" and "To"  then the two textboxs will display like belkow in the CSV report:
    Date                 TO
    01/01/2015      01/31/2015
    ID   EmpFirstName    EmpLastName   Location
    1      Tom                  Garry                  NY
    2      John                 Graham               NJ
    3      Ron                   Lorrie                 CA
    If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.
