you can't install logic pro x on a iOS device....you said laptop so i guess you mean OS X not iOS ....you can't have 16mb ram/memory but probably 16gb....but to your question...
NO DO NOT UPDATE, logic pro x is working better on mavericks then on yosemite!

You need Snow Leopard before you can go to Lion...

I am trying to update my itunes to the latest version, but it says the itunes server could not be updated and i need to connect to the internet when I amlready am connected. How do I get the latest version of itunes so i can sync my iphone with itunes without losing all my songs?
We were able to fix our machine! I just could not make sense of the error message, so we were trying non-Microsoft, non-Apple solutions.
Our Solution: Install MalWareBytes, and run a Quick Scan.
Even thought both Microsoft anti-virus and Defender were running on our Windows 8 machine, MalWareBytes found about 100 problems. As I looked over the types of problem and locations, I found several that referenced the exact directory referenced in this message. The machine had to be restarted for MalWareBytes to complete the cleaning, but iTunes installed afterwards with no problems.

it's been a while that Im unable to copy music from itunes to my iphone. I updated my device to the latest version of IOS 5.1.1 and made sure no jailbreak is installed but still not working. please assist.
Assuming you are not manually managing your music, verify the following:
You are using the latest version of iTunes
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize this computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings
When everything looks correct, sync your phone. -
Sorry for the long description, have been trying to update my Acrobat Pro XI to the latest version, when using the update tool I get an error that suggests for me to uninstall Acrobat and reinstall it, have done that 2 times, don't want to do it again. Why am I having this issue? I used to have PDF pro and got rid of it in favor of Acrobat, now I am starting to think this was not such a good move...
Any ideas?
Thanks,The uninstall is a last resort. Just download the update from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and manually do the update. For AA XI, you can go directly to 11.0.07 (not the case for earlier versions). Be sure you are logged in as the administrator and have anti-virus disabled.

Trying to find URL for iCal version downloads.
Need to verify correct version of iCal for recent upgrade to OS 10.6.8.
Current version of iCal is 4.0.4.
Would prefer web address for downloads and not just a: "You've got the right version" "You need to download to" type of response to thread entry.
Reason: iCal is spazing and duplicating current entrys on iPhone 4S iOS 6.3, and Quadrupeling and more current entrys as well as notifying me of calendar events that occurred seven years ago (random years) on my laptop running OS 10.6.8.
Thinking that an update to iCal might be cure to refresh iCloud web address syncing and correct crazy notifications and doubling and tripling.. of iCal entrys.

However Snow Leopard is not compatible with iCloud, so if you are somehow managing to make iCal sync with it it's a fudge and likely not to be reliable. Also, if you are syncing with iCloud you must avoid also trying to sync using iTunes - mixing two syncing methods is a quick way to problems.
If your Mac is capable of upgrading to Lion or Mountain LIon that would give you proper access to iCloud and a higher version of iCal.

When did this problem first occur? Directly after you upgraded to Yosemite and iPhoto 9.6? Or after a crash?
If this happened directly after the upgrade, look into the iPhoto library package, but do not change anything there - be very careful.
A healthy iPhoto Library should look like this, when you ctrl-click it in the Finder and use the commend "Show Package Contents".
First of all - does the iPhoto Library show the correct "fan of Pictures" icon?
Is there an additional folder "Old Masters" in addition to your folder "Masters"?
When you select the file "Info.plist", does the preview show correctly iPhoto Library 9.6?

If it is not showing iPhoto but Aperture, try to trick iPhoto in opening the library by setting the File extension of the iPhoto Library to "photolibrary"
But if you are seeing a folder "Old Masters" in your library, you are having a bad library corruption. Then look into that folder, if it contains any photos and post back. -

Take it to an Apple Store and have it checked out. You could have a hardware issue there if the SIM is not being recognized.

I currently have iPhoto 8.1.2 on my macbook pro and am trying to update to the latest version. I have had to work backward, but I can only get back to 9.1, which will not install because it says I need at least 9.0 to install it. Is 9.0 available? Will I need to go back even further? Thanks
Upgrading from iPhoto 8 to iPhoto 9 requires a purchase. There are two ways to get to iPhoto 9:
1 - purchase a copy of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com or eBay.com.
2 - if your MBP meets the requirements upgrade you system for free to Mavericks. Then you can purchase the latest iPhoto version, 9.5.1, from the App Store.

I my macbook pro will not recognize my iphone. I had the AppleStore, re-install my original software a month or two ago, but since they did this, my computer cannot recognize my Iphone it is telling me that I also need to download the new version of Itunes, but keeps telling me my system isn't running the correct software. This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.
