you should deactivate (help>deactivate) that installation on the old workstation. then download and install on your new work station using your serial number. (ie, make sure you can find your serial number - if you need help with this, let us know.)

you mean? unregister it how? if you switched to a non apple device you may need to unregister your number from the imessage server. if you mean uregister it as not in your name the new cusotmer can restore the device in itunes and set it up as new and it should register it to the new customer if not have them call apple and they can register it to the new cusotmer. if your talking about it being tied to your cellular carrier account that should be taken up with the carrier.

Are both using the same email address for Contacts?
Settings---> Mail, Contacts, Calendars---> Accounts (select the account that you have Contacts clicked on)
Then on the MBP, make sure that the Contacts is using the same email address. Idk where to go for that at the moment.
This doesn't have to be your AppleID. But they both have to match.

For a legal transfer of ownership, the original owner must:
• remove all related versions of the software from their machine including the licensing file.
• provide you with all disks, books, and supporting material
• provide you with the serial number that came with the software
Be very careful they are not selling you either an upgrade version (where you need a previous version) or they have not upgraded the software themselves and are leaving the upgraded version on their machine. In this latter case, they can not sell the software as it is the basis for their current (upgrade) version.

Do you mean change wireless carriers? Then contact the current wireless carrier.
Do you mean use a different Apple ID? iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account - Support and do the same thing in Settings > iCloud, Message and Facetime.

First of all are you getting any sort of error to stop you from installing it? PSE 6 mostly didn't have activation, so if you haven't tried, do so.

Contact Apple Support at 1-800-MYAPPLE and request the Account Security team. They can send a text message to your new device that is using the old phone number, and can unregister your phone number from your Apple ID/iMessage.

If you want to get rid of the iPod, simply Restore it.
Don't uninstall anything.
