Why do we need to upload meta data through IDX2

Why do we need to uplaod the meta data through idx2 ,if we won't do that what will be the impact on oue scenario.

The IDOC msg comes as a data stream from ECC to PI. PI uses the metadata in IDX2 to convert the IDOC msg to IDOC-XML msg...

If you don't load IDX2, When the 1st IDOC is received, the metadata is automatically loaded.
For subsequent changes in ECC, (If new Z-fields are added in ECC), they are not reflected in PI, if you don't perform IDX2. Hence, IDOC msg to IDOC-XML convertion will have some problems.. Data will get into wrong fields... It is recommended to Perform IDX2 to aviod such issues..

For example: /domains/KBaldwin.uk/public_html/

I've just had to teach myself Dreamweaver in order to edit my
website, as I was let down by my webmaster. However, now that I've
made thse changes I need to upload them to the live site. Can

I am Nagesh, and presently working on a BADI(NOTIF_EVENT_POST) for sending emails when a new Notification is created through QM01 Transaction Code, and its working very very fine. But now an additional requirement has come up, where i need to upload an Standard Format Word Document into SAP and then attach this file to the Mail to which the converted PDF Smartform file has been attached and then send both files in single mail to concerned Vendor. So I tried to upload the .Doc file into SAP by using OAER TCode with following Parameters
Class name              :            PICTURES
Class type               :            OT
Object key               :            CAPA.
I exactly dont know whether this is the right format or not, please help me, if this is possible or not.
And also I uploaded the same doc file from application server to Presentation Server using Tcode CG3Z, to a ditectory which exists in SAP (Checked in AL11 Tcode). So the nhow to read that complete file to send the same as attachemnts without making any changes .

Need to load the data through excel for plan data through IP?

Hi all,
The user needs to load the data through the excel and click on the save button so that the data is saved in the cube through integrated planning.
The objects used are
customer, material, plant, calendarmonth sales qty, gross billing!!

If you are using bPS you can get the details in Wiki also for the same.

I have requirement to upload Business partner through IDOC. I am using below message type and IDOC type.
1:- Message Type :- CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M
2:- Basic Type :- CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M02
Could you please tell me what configuration I need to do for this? Like creating partner profile, port etc
Also I need to extend this IDOC segment to take care of my Z fields.
After extending the IDOC segment do I need to write code in order to update this Z filed or it will be take care and also how to extend existing IDOC.
If any one have has done this before then please share the logic.

Upload a doc into SAP and then FAX it

Hi
I'm looking for a method of uploading a doc into SAP and then FAX it to a customer.
What currently happens is this:
1. SAP creates a document, which is saved to a UNIX directory as a text file.
2. An external process takes this file, uses the info and creates a new file with alot more info than SAP has. This new file is saved to another UNIX directory.
3. This is where I'm stuck. I would like SAP to upload this new text file (or files) and fax each one.
The filename will contain a document number that SAP can then use to check customer master and obtain correct FAX number.
Can anyone provide a few pointers?

Hi Stephen,
Your SAPConnect config basically sends a SAPOffice message to your fax server, so to send your unix file in the same way you need an ABAP to create a SAPoffice message.
The steps in your program will be something like;
Read the unix file (OPEN DATASET, TRANSFER etc)
Format the data if necessary
Use a function module like SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to create the message
Provided you maintain the correct recipient parameters SAPconnect should process this to the fax server.
An alternative is to create a spool then pass this to SAPoffice, the approach is similar but the FMs needed will be different.

I am trying to get more info on how to bulk upload employee documentation through SAP Archive Link' OpenText Enterprise Scan into the categories in OAWD. Once the documents are in Enterprise Scan the Administrator needs to link these to the categories in SAP. This is a manual process - is there a way to bulk upload these documentation to the right categories? Since these documents vary I am not sure that OCR will be a help.

How do I allow users to upload personal files through our website?
I am trying to allow the visitors the ability to upload images for a future contest we will be hosting. I am trying to build a submit form with personal fields (already got this done) along with a field they can upload 1 or 2 images. I want the form to send me an email with details along with image files. I have a BC webbasic+ account and I am using Muse for my web editing.

You could apply a "file attachment" field within the web form. If needing more than 1 file attachment you'll need to access your form code and hard-code the additional field.
The form will collect the file(s) and will be held within the case details under "related files". You can also assign a workflow to recieve notifications however only 1 file will appear in each email. To see the other files you'll need to access your order details.
