I no longer have iTunes library.xml on my PC but I have all of my songs. How do I download them to my iPhone - it won't allow me to drag and drop though my PC recognizes the device.

My PC has all of my iTunes and it recognizes my iPhone 4 device but I cannot drag and drop the songs. How do I copy the songs to my new iPhone without having to re-purchase everything? Unfortunately, It appears I no longer have iTunes Music Library.xml on my PC.

My husband and I are using the same iTunes account on all mac & pc computers, but the libraries are different on each machine. We always manually manage our music (no auto sync). iTunes is up to date on the PCs. My husband uses our joint iTunes account on his pc, but once again, has a different collection in his library from those on the other machines. He can't load any music from his PC to his iphone 4. I can load music from my mac library to my iphone 4s, but cannot load from my pc library to my iphone 4s. How can I switch my main library that it syncs with from the mac to the pc?

I finally updated my iPad 2 (16 GB; Wi-Fi) with the new iOS 7 update (7.0.3), and now it won't let me drag-and-drop items from my iTunes library anymore. It starts to, it seems. iTunes says "Preparing to sync" and then that just disappears, and nothing else happens.
Just the other night, I drag-and-dropped some songs onto my iPad (since my iPhone wasn't allowing me to, so I added them to my iPad instead; I'm getting a new iPod touch soon anyways, so this is only temporary), and it worked just fine. This was before I updated my iOS 7 (iTunes was already at 11.1).

Checked my storage space; I have plenty for these six videos I want to add on here...
I have had this iPad set on "manually manage" since I bought it. It has never known any different. I've manually synced movies from my old MacBook (backlight dead, and it's not worth the money I'd have to pay to replace it, since this is the second-to-last MacBook Apple made, so it isn't worth much anymore; and this MacBook still has Mac OSX 10.5, so iTunes 11 won't even work with it, so I haven't synced anything from it in MONTHS...), and to my last PC laptop (charging port is broken, so it won't charge even though it works fine when the battery is full; unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to ordering the new part yet). I've only added three songs from this "new PC" that I'm borrowing. To my knowledge, it doesn't matter how many different libraries you "sync" to a "manually managed" device, right? Besides, I just synced music from this third library last week!!
What I just don't understand is why it let me the other day, and now it won't.
And before I updated tonight, my PC didn't even recognize my iPad. So I pretty much HAD to install that iOS 7 update that had been in my Settings since it came out.
What is going on? I'm kind of sick of this...the only option it seems is to just completely sync to this one computer, but I'll lose pretty much everything except the few songs I put on here, and my videos. I have pictures and apps and notes/documents that I DO NOT want to lose.
Any suggestions?

ITunes won't allow me to drag and drop songs into playlists

Running OS X 10.6.8 and iTunes 10.4 (80).
I cannot drag and drop songs within iTunes to create playlists or move songswithin playlists.
Here's what I've already tried:
-Reset iTunes Store cahce
-Log out & in of iTunes Store
-Quit & Restart itunes
-Rebuilt iTunes library (by moving iTunes Library.xml file and getting rid of .itl file)
-Checked info on iTunes folders so that permissions are both read & write
-Restart computer
-dug through a discussion of this problem on MacRumors and none of those solutions worked.
Getting frustrated and hate that I have to dig around in discussions and wait for the community to figure this out instead of Apple answering and solving the problem when their software doesn't work.
Has anyone figured out how to fix this? Aaaarrgh!

I don't want iCloud and Home Sharing doesn't work for me...

I first connected the Touch to my desktop and it allows me to drag and drop mp3 files from my old Classic, which is backed up to a directory. Unfortunately, that computer has gone down before I got a chance to fill the Touch. I have the files on another computer but when I connect the Touch to it, it doesn't allow me to drag and drop the files. I have iCloud set on both systems and I have manual management check marked. I have a heirarchical embedded folder structure under \Documents. Usually, as I drag the file to be moved over the various folders, they will blink twice, then expand/open to reveal contents (in Finder). Now, when the file to be moved is held (hovering) over the destination folder, it will not blink or expand, so there's no place to drop the file. If I release the mouse button, the file image disappears, showing that it is "going back to the place it came from", a.k.a. was not moved. This just started happening. I noticed it after upgrading to Mavericks. Is this a bug or could anything else be causing this?

As of today, Apple Support discovered during a remote support session with me that the same thing happens on their own system. It is isolated to "Column View"; the Icon and List views in Finder behave correctly. Issue is being escalated to engineering, and Apple will call to report status in a couple days. In all likelihood, this is a bug that will need to be addressed in a future update.

Drag and dropping of ebooks in to iOS devices

Has anyone else noticed that the Drag and dropping of ebooks / pdfs onto iOS devices, in iTunes has dissapeared?
Is there ANY other way to get ebooks, and PDFs on the ios devices OTHER than setting up an iTunes sync?
It would be nice if there was an option in the Mavericks iBooks application to "add to iPad" or to drag it in from there.

According to your description, when you create a Data Source View in BIDS/SSDT, you can't see the tables in the pane. Right?
In this scenario, when creating data source, please make sure you select a correct data provider. For example, it you connect to SQL Server database, you should use
Native OLE DB\SQL Server Native Client. Then please test your connection to the data source.
If the tables still can't be displayed, please make sure you select proper database and the check tables existence in the database.

Okay...no replies as yet so I've been having a play.
I have the latest version of iTunes from the Apple site and my tracks have been downloaded from the net into MP4's in one file.Now,if I try and 'DND' into any of the music folders nothing happens....EXCEPT when I hover he cursor over 'iTunes DJ'....when released the tracks can now be found in 'Recently Added' folder,and can be played.
Now...how do I get them into a folder ? Well,it's time for bed so will play again tomorrow (although I bet i'm up until 1am trying to figure it out !! ).

Here's the short-cut solution:
Green Apple tracks are MIDI files (so to speak). If you drag one from the loop browser (Capitol C Orchestral hit, as you mentioned in this exable) directly into the arrange page it creates the MIDI file and the instrument to play it back on.
HOWEVER.If you create and audio track first, THEN drag the green Apple loop onto that track, the loop will get "bounced" with the reverb in tact and you'll have the exact sound that you heard in the preview.

If I select the text layer and click the text style button in the library it just creates a new text style for Myriad Pro 12pt - I'm not using that anywhere in my document.

Do you realize it is an object-based vector-based program? Do you know the difference between raster-based and vector-based content?
My question seems to be all over the forum but no one has been able to answer other than exporting to these file formats, which make text look awful and of no use....
And yet everyone else in the world makes proper web images every day using a plethora of programs, including these...go figure.

Hello, cocteau! What you're calling "transparency" is inherent to object-based vector artwork. But web browsers don't support object-based vector artwork, except via file formats like Flash and SVG, or by viewing as a PDF in a plug-in version of Reader. Raster imaging in general only supports "transparency" by either indexing a specific color (i.e.; "don't display this color", as in GIF) or including an alpha channel (i.e.; "blend all the pixels with existing pixels, based on values from this extra channel", as in PNG). It's all in the raster file format you use, cocteau; it has little-to-nothing to do specifically with Adobe software. Such things are among the most basic matters understood by someone doing web design.
When I export an eps from .ai file, and open the eps in photoshop,...I save as a gif for the web, it goes back to the original problem...creates jagged text. I"m giving up on this garbage...Thanks a lot adobe! Lower the price of this software if this is all that can be done.
Once it leaves Photoshop (or Illustrator, or whatever) as a non-proprietary raster image format, it's all about what the format can do re "transparency". You can do this stuff with most any graphics program. You should read about basic web design and the differences between raster and vector content, rather than rant.

I don't know what it is called (let me know the term if you know) but I would like to learn how to design a web page that allows the visitor to move things around to custom design something -- ie. drag and drop images in the website. My wife designs jewelry and I have seen some sites that allow visitors to drag and drop beads onto a bracelet to design their own bracelet.

Seen the technical level of your questions as far, I highly recommend to stop immediately with that visual editor and start writing code yourself. Don't brainlessly drag'n'drop as long as you don't understand at all what happens behind the scenes. You would only get yourself in deeper trouble after all.

I see. You switched iTunes stores willingly and on your own and now you cannot get the store to change back to what you want it to be. You did change the credit card and billing address back to the store/country that you want to use now is what I gather from your last post. And I assume that it was working OK previously.
I don't know what else to tell you other than to try quitting iTunes and restart the iPad - or reset the device and see if that triggers the iTunes store back to the one that you want to use.
Quit iTunes and restart. In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button. The task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. If you are using multitasking gestures in iOS 5 - you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the task bar. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or try a reset. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

NTFS is your problem.
iPhoto needs to have the Library sitting on disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Users with the Library sitting on disks otherwise formatted regularly report issues including, but not limited to, importing, exporting, saving edits and sharing the photos.
