BobbyH5280. Very helpful answer! I am XP for the next week on CS6. I did find 3 items that helped. The fonts are in AI, but are listed on the bottom of the list. Also in Edit/Preferences/Type, checking "Show Font Names in English" makes the font list easier to read (doesn't appear to change the sort order though), and (with your suggestion) checking "Sow Asian Options" might do something positive. Thanks to all of you who sent in tips.

To elaborate a bit, you may come across offers of a new/unopened/unregistered version, which is the simplest case (you would need a guarantee). Other cases require much detailed information (and a guarantee).
If upgrading to 10.6.8 or higher is an option, you could use CS6.

Nope still nothing going incognito, or doing it through different browsers. I guess the other thing is a an online picture editing program told me I needed to update my flash, so I tried to install it several time but am not sure if it actually did. Now some video players (that had previously worked) command me that I need a newer version of Flash. What happened?

How come although iPads are getting more powerful, the iOS apps from apple are so mediocre and just not that great? We spend all this money for the latest ipad and all we get is these $5 video and music apps from apple. Why create the iOS platform and only offer so so apps like IMovie and GarageBand ? While other developers are offering much better apps like pinnacle studio for video, Cubasis and Auria for music production, apple has not showed much growth in terms of innovation. While there's nothing wrong with making an app like GarageBand where "anyone " can make a song, how about something for real musicians or an app not so basic as it get for video editing? After spending 0ver $700 on an ipad I'd be willing to spend more than $5 for a better video or audio app.

First, try a system reset although I can't give you any confidence. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

It is not possible to delete the iTunes app. If you can't find it on any of the pages or in any of the folders, check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure tha it hasn't been disabled.

How to get the functionality of downloading files from internet on my jsp

i have a jsp page that lists me the names of the zip files in a paricular directory on a remote computer over the network.wat i want to do is download those files.so when i click on them it gives me "page cannot be displayed" error.but when i go to that remote machine and run the same jsp to list me the files and download the same it allows me to download the files.but i want the same functionality over the network.so i think that that link is looking for that file locally instead of looking for them over the network.so is it so that i need to give the ip of the remote machine from where i want to download the file and if yes then how and if no then is there any way that i can do it some other way.
in short this functionality is like downloading some file from the net like downloading software or music....i want to incorporate the same on my jsp.please guide me.

If you head over to ifixit.com, you can check out their replacement guides for each of the items you feel needs replacing. The cost for the parts is listed there. It would be that cost + labor at an Apple store. I'm not sure if they would replace things that are cracked as that is cosmetic damage and doesn't affect how well (or poorly) the computer works. You would have to bring it to a store and ask.
